And it came with a mini hat fascinator and socks (in addition to the dress). You can't even get regular socks alone for $4.99 nowadays! Truth be told, I already had a Strawberry Shortcake costume, but the hat that came with it was a bonnet that looked like a shower cap. Mini hat fascinator is totally more my style, so I actually bought the second costume more for the accessories, but the accessories alone would be more than $4.99 at other places like Spirit Halloween, Monster Halloween, etc. Anyway, Party City is my favourite place for Halloween costumes. They are also awesome for party supplies. They have so much themed stuff. All milestone birthdays, retirement, bachelor/bachelorette parties, graduation, wedding, etc. They also have tons for items for kid's parties including party favours. And lots of mylar balloons. This review is from happier times, when things were normal, and Party Mart was open. This Party Mart in Kanata has a different layout than the other big party stores in Ottawa. They have a costumes section and a party supplies section which are separated by a small walkway, so it's actually like two stores in one. Admittedly, I only go to this location around Halloween to look for more pieces to add to my ever-growing costume collection, because I pretty much hate the Kanata Centrum (with it's weird layout and I try to avoid the complex as much as possible), which is where this Party Mart is located. During Halloween they have a great selection of costumes and accessories. They even have a clearance section with pretty decent prices. Not quite as cheap as Party City, but significantly lower than regular prices. The party supplies section is good and comparable to Party City. Staff are nice. Lots of free parking in the Kanata Centrum parking lot. Now the Kanata Centrum is a huge messed up maze, so Party Mart is near the Dollarama. It's in the same area as Bangkok Buri and Digby's.

They so lighting, sound, and have oh so many things like linens, chairs, plates, glasses, BBQs, chocolate fountain, bars and a million other things. This Hallmark store reminds me of the old Curiosity Shop that used to be in the Farm Boy Market Square in Kanata, where the other Farm Boy is, and the Bulk Barn and LCBO are also located. This store also sells decorations, and offers seasonal specialties such as Christmas ornaments. TONS of gift ideas in here! Every once in a while I need a gift that is "general", with a card.
