I called the location at 3460 Poplar Memphis, TN. 38111, at 12;30 pm, to see if they carried large birthday cards. The gentleman that answered obviously didn't want to be at work. When he answered I greeted him......but he just rushed me off the phone and foremost, he didn't greet me back. He was so focused on getting me off the phone. I work at a school and this was going to be a large order or various items for the kids, but now I don't want to deal with them at all. read more

Love that I grow up on that store one of the best that sell party stuff I just love ot

Okay, I call the number and after one ring it becomes a busy signal? So I have to drive all the way from Munford to face a 50/50 chance if they have a certain outfit? No thanks. read more

Store was trashed. Staff needs to be trained on how to provide even the basic customer service.

Save yourself a headache. Order online or choose a different party store. My home helium tank ran out and I have been slow to replace it - big mistake. (Yes, I realize how ridiculous and obnoxious it sounds to have a helium tank at home. I love balloons. Give me a break lol) Save this location for when you waited too late to order your party supplies online or don't want to make multiple stops to get everything you need. Otherwise, it will be a frustrating and overpriced experience. Merchandise boxes seem to be constantly stacked around the store and blocking aisles, their staff has no clue where anything is and can't be bothered to pretend to assist you, the prices are incredibly unreasonable, and they seriously need to get a system for completing balloon orders. I've stopped in three times in the last six months for balloons and they seemed to not have a clue of the steps it took to ring up and complete my order. They have also given me someone else's order twice. These small annoyances feel much bigger when they are one of the few party stores in town. read more

People answering phone don't want to look up anything for you and hang up before you finish talking. So rude

I'm disappointed in this store. I purchased a costume-Dr. Seuss. It said one size. I wear a ten. It didn't fit. I live an hour from the store. I returned two weeks after purchase with receipt. I was told it was seasonal. It's fine and didn't break me. I won't shop there again. I'm sure you have people wear your stuff and return them but that wasn't me. read more

Party City is the place you are forced to go to when you can't make it yourself and the dollar store didn't have everything you need. At this location it's really easy to go by Dollar Tree first and then make Party City last resort. I have used this place for every single event. Bachelorette, Wedding, 1st birthday, 21st birthday, Superbowl, New Years Eve and of course HALLOWEEN!!! The prices are normal and sometimes you can luck up on the clearance aisle. They have the best balloon selection and they sell everything you would ever need to entertain your friends and family. I love it and hate it becasue it makes you feel like you need it all.... BUT YOU DON'T... I'm getting better at not going over board, but I do love a nice party. read more

I called to see if I could order balloons to be made and ready for pick up the girl rudely said you can order balloons. So I asked why I have before she replied with a little laugh "you just have to come in". So I just said ok and called another company who does the same thing and they gladly did it. Party city is over priced and employees need customer service training! read more

This is my "go to" store for costumes and party supplies. Prices are cheaper on Amazon.com, but the selection here is good and they almost always have what I need. read more

Party City - This store is in a shopping center, near Kroger's and Buffalo wild wings. - Costumes Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

I ordered balloons and fortnight themed decor online for my daughters 13th Birthday paid and received confirmation for 9am pick up. I arrived at 10am thinking I'd give the staff time to get my order together. When I entered the store it was completely trashed with tons of unboxed shipment everywhere. The shelves were mainly empty although the store was well staffed. The staff was not friendly or inviting they seemed as if our presence was unwanted. I was told my order was cancelled due to them being out of stock (it was likely UNBOXED). They even cancelled my balloons although they had the four yellow ordered. I will never return to this store nor refer anyway to step foot in this place. GOOD RIDDANCE!! read more

Party City used to have a much bigger selection. I'm not sure what has happened to the store but it has gone downhill in recent years. I went here to get supplies for a bachelorette party and was disappointed to see that almost everything was sold out (in other sections too). I don't think these items were particularly popular...more like it was just never restocked. Plus the prices were outrageous. $20 for tiny window decals? Puhlease. I also asked the cashier a few questions and she was more annoyed than helpful...I'm annoyed that this is one of the few party supply stores in town. read more

This place is expensive. But sometimes I come here in a pinch if I really need something that I don't have time to order online and wait for shipping. Lots of times they have that one specific thing that Target or Dollar Tree doesn't have. There usually isn't anyone around to help, and it is sometimes very messy. I really don't know how it's still open, but every now and then I'm glad it's there. read more

Be warned, open the package and check the sizes! I traveled an hour and a half to purchase a last minute costume for a school project. I noticed in the store the costume that was retrieved by an employee from the back looked like it had been opened. We opened it( in front of him) and noticed a missing headpiece. No problem, we purchased one, and the costume was discounted. We found a bodysuit in its original package on a shelf and purchased it as well...on returning home that night nothing fit! We examined the costume it was a size small that had been placed in a large package. The bodysuit was a child's small in an adult medium package. I paid $50 for an outfit that I couldn't replace so late at night and isn't worth the drive back for a refund. read more
