Items are a bit pricey, but hey where else you going to find them, so if you see that piece you gotta have just get it. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is that last time i walked in I kept expecting to hear a greeting even stopped turned around looked right in that direction and nothing, I did notice some other folks that looked different from me being greeted, other than that great place to find very unique finds.

And in a world where most people just email or send a Facebook message, finding a piece of fun mail is even more special. This is why I love Mrs. Post. Mrs. Post is a brand new stationery and gift store in East Memphis. And while you're grandma will be excited to receive one of their cute letterpress cards from you, there's nothing stuffy about the shop. Before they opened Mrs. Post, owners Lindsey Cross and Natalie Ellis-Chang designed a line of wholesale paper products called Lemon Tree Paper. They've got about 400 pieces, and each one is printed locally. All of the Lemon Tree Paper invitations, cards, and notes are available at Mrs. Post. My favorite thing about the shop was the small, but well thought out collection of gifts. There's a lot of whimsy in a small space. I was totally smitten with the Jonathan Adler whale shaped salt and pepper shakers and the surprise balls (the package reads "to enjoy, please destroy"). They've also got candles, baby booties and party decorations you'll want to leave up well after the fun is over.

After the customer left the employee asked me if I had a mask. I said yes and she told me that according to the mandate I needed to put it on. I told her that the other customer didn't have on a mask. She said "well I know her and she took it off to walk out" which was an untrue statement. I'm tired of the hypocrisy of employees telling me what to do when their "friends" don't have to abide by the same rules.

In the past I have shopped there. Not often, Hence why I had not done a review. I remember this place when my mom that is no longer here used to take me in there and my wife comes here to shop for props. I've always liked the layout it feels like a home, not a store. BUT, after yesterday this store has lost my business and a few other clients that have stated they are not shopping there anymore. 8 that used to shop there from our local game and a few that have had interest in going in the store. Why do you get one star. Well I don't care that you might look at me and I don't look white or that I don't cruise around with the golden girls. Or that I got out of bed grabbed a t-shirt and my dog and went out the door. When someone comes in to try and talk to you. A customer that used to shop here. To assist you on removing a location google added, that brought attention to this store in a public game. Yet when I talked to you, you we're cold and short on all your responses. What got to me, Is when I got in line and you addressed me first by asking "can I help you?" I came in to give you my information in case you wanted help removing this location from google/ingress game. You said it should be illegal for a game that uses free/advertising to have your location on there. When friends and I stop at this location while playing we stay for maybe 5-8 min max. I know of three of us have come in and bought something from Past and Present in the last two months. Out of all of this what hurt the most was: "I am with a customer right now, wait out side, I will be with you" madam I am not a dog.

The store is filled with unique treasures that I have never seen at other stores in Memphis as well as so many items that I never knew I needed or wanted until I saw them in Paradox. The staff at Paradox are also so incredibly helpful and kind. They are always there to welcome you and are genuinely excited to have you in their store. It's also incredible how much they know about their product. I will simply be admiring a piece in the store and somebody from the team will come over, notice what I'm looking at, and share with me a whole story about the artist, where it's from, how it's made, etc. Ultimately, I cannot recommend this beautiful store enough to both local Memphians or folks visiting from out of town. Special shout out to Lauren in the store who always makes me feel like family when I come in!

Denise told me that I "don't have to shop there". I told Denise there was no reason to be rude and asked for her manager. Denise handed me a business card and said 'Jim' was the owner and I could call him. I walked to the other end of the store to continue shopping. About 15 minutes later, a man later identified as Jim approaches me. "I HEAR YOU HAVE A PROBLEM" exclaims Jim loudly. I looked around.. "I'm sorry.. who are you?" I asked. I am Jim the owner, and I heard you have a problem. I explained to Jim that I merely questioned as to why face masks were not being enforced if it was required in Shelby County. Jim explained that Millington is not required to follow Shelby County laws. He stated the health department has been out several times already. I told Jim that I didn't appreciate his lack of customer service skills and he should not be yelling at me in a full store with tons of people around. I left the store.. Jim and Denise followed me out. I will not return here. Definitely not a reflection of the sweet people in Tennessee that I always hear about. :(
