Typical corporate feeling and not owned individually like others. I don't think as friendly or items are better than other stores visited.

Not very customer service oriented. Kind of a crotchety older woman who is short and clipped. Not the best experience.

If I've learned anything from years spent reading Cute Overload, it's that tiny things are almost…read moreguaranteed to be more adorable than their normal sized counterparts. My new favorite Memphis gift shop is no exception. Nest manages to cram a well-organized and thoughtful stock of housewares, gifts, baby items, jewelry and dishes into their tiny Germantown space. The building, which looks more like a wee cabin than a storefront is only 12 feet by 16 feet. Inside, though, gift items (many of them appropriately tiny) are arranged floor to ceiling. Be sure to look down - some very cool things are hiding on low shelves. What I liked most about Nest is that because of the space's size, everything in the shop seems like it was stocked with intention - there's aren't any items that don't belong. I loved the tiny spoons, vintage silverware bundles, shabby chic textiles and selection of cute necklaces (that range in price from crazy reasonable to fairly high end). And despite it's size, Nest is the sort of place that would probably have a gift for even the pickiest people. Next time I need something for my mom or a hard-to-buy-for lady friend, this is where I'm going. A word of warning before you head to Nest: it's really hard to find on Google Maps alone. The easiest way to get there is to head east on Poplar (towards Germantown). Turn right into The Market at Poplar Estates - it sort of looks like a garden center. Keep going once you turn in, and Nest will be on your left.

This is the BEST gift shop in town. I shop here for all gifts for others as well as myself…read more There has never been a time that I did not gone into this shop and not find anything. They have unique items that other shops don't have. It is my "go to place" for gifts.

I wish I got more mail (fun mail, not bills). There's something about getting postcards and letters…read moreand invitations that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. And in a world where most people just email or send a Facebook message, finding a piece of fun mail is even more special. This is why I love Mrs. Post. Mrs. Post is a brand new stationery and gift store in East Memphis. And while you're grandma will be excited to receive one of their cute letterpress cards from you, there's nothing stuffy about the shop. Before they opened Mrs. Post, owners Lindsey Cross and Natalie Ellis-Chang designed a line of wholesale paper products called Lemon Tree Paper. They've got about 400 pieces, and each one is printed locally. All of the Lemon Tree Paper invitations, cards, and notes are available at Mrs. Post. My favorite thing about the shop was the small, but well thought out collection of gifts. There's a lot of whimsy in a small space. I was totally smitten with the Jonathan Adler whale shaped salt and pepper shakers and the surprise balls (the package reads "to enjoy, please destroy"). They've also got candles, baby booties and party decorations you'll want to leave up well after the fun is over.

I just bought a $30 Kate Spade pouch and a $16 candle...AND they gift wrapped it for me! Perfection for $50 and sure to impress...not not to mention, in-and-out in less than 10 minutes! They have absolutely beautiful stationary and invitations...as well as a few baby items. Everything is well made so even the snootiest of people will approve of these gifts.
