Delivery/pick up has been timely, and rental items were in good condition. For one event in 2023, the sound system did not work well at all, since then i have bought my own so I can't comment since then. My only real beef with Midwest is management's decision to rent the showroom out front to a quilting store and push their sales team into what's practically a closet in a warehouse way at the back of the property. In the past, you could see tables and other rental equipment before renting, which made it a little easier to visualize.

I am absolutely disgusted by the customer service and price-gauging that this company does. It seems like they are a monopoly in town, but if you can avoid renting from them, please do!! Better yet, if you're looking for business ideas in the area, this might be a good one! For a party rental company, they charge significantly extra for weekend (Saturday and Sunday) drop-offs and pick-ups of rentals. I do not understand how they are in this business if they cannot reasonably accommodate weekends. Cost breakdown: - For 250 chairs, the rental cost $1750 - The drop-off fee on a Friday: ~$100 - Pick-up Saturday after the wedding (INSANE!): $1500+ I was charged an extra $800 fee for Saturday pick-up alone and then when I was on my honeymoon, I received a surprise $500 credit card from them with NO COMMUNICATION. I had been on previous emails with Allison Brooks and NO ONE reached out to the lady who was paying the bills. There was a surprise charge for the chairs not being stacked. I was more than happy to pay the pick-up team for the extra labor, but I'm disgusted that they're turning a profit on the extra time and that those guys won't be seeing that full amount of money. Overall, 36 hours of 250 chair rentals cost me over $4k. This was the worst wedding vendor I worked with and did not provide the customer service that is deserved for payment of such large sums of money. I do NOT recommend using them and do recommend paying for better service out of Indianapolis. I'm just so disgusted by how expensive they were for such BAD customer service.

I rented a lawn aerator from them, and was quite happy with it. It's industrial and heavy, but being heavy is part of a lawn aerator's job. It worked well and didn't guzzle too much gas. Pickup and drop off were quick and pleasant. You can often rent equipment for a full weekend for the price of a day if you pick it up on Friday, but I think they have started doing discounts on weekday rentals so it balances out.

Reservations were simple to make online. We were greeted with a menu and an excellent wine and cocktail list. With very few other diners, we were treated to the best seat in the house with a view of flowering spring trees through neogothic windows. Another couple was enjoying a glass of wine on the porch, while another was exploring the interior of this fantastic Victorian mansion. Service and ambience were both amazing thoughout -- this is truly a unique dining experience. We had the langoustine cakes and the soup of the day, both great starts bursting with flavor and texture. We had the hangar steak and pork chop for entrees, paired with a well structured Zinfandel. The pork chop was particularly outstanding, owing both to the quality of the ingredient and expert preparation, paired with just-sweet enough parsnip puree, rainbow carrots, blistered grapes, and carmelized onion. The hangar steak was impeccably presented, cooked to temperature, and most important, a very delicious cut of well aged beef. For dessert we had a lemon-lavender mousse bombe, again as well presented as it was delicious. The tart lemon pop rocks on top were tge perfect touch and sheer nostalgic pleasure. We finished our evening with a self tour of the mansion, and carried home half of our amply portioned meals to enjoy as leftovers. Lafayette's best kept secret.
