I remember the first time I walked into a Party City, that was in the the late 1990s when they franchised out into the West Coast. I was mesmerized. That was way before the age of online shopping. Everything for your party needs in one shop! That is the same concept today. I still am a bit mesmerized, in a good way, by the excess consumerism at Party City. Mesmerized to the point that I forgot to take photos. I recently dropped on in looking for gift boxes. Which I was told they only had one size. The staff was polite and helpful. The shop had a relatively large inventory of party decorations, balloons (filled or not), plates, cups, utensils, gift wrap, table clothes, favors, gif tags/boxes, and wrapping paper. The prices were not outrageous. I am pretty sure you can find some of these items a bit cheaper somewhere else but at various places. If you have the time, patient, desire, and gas money to drive around creation to find those items, that is great. This place is your one stop shop for PG rated bachelorette, birthday, and anniversary parties. Baby and bridal showers. Some of the themes I saw was by: colors; Marvel superheroes; Baby Shark; Pepe; Disney: princesses, Toy Story, Cars; Hawaiian, Dinosaurs, Jungle Animals; seasonal events; and seasonal holidays. That is just to name a few. Hmmm maybe my next birthday party will be dinosaur themed. Soon I tell folks I was alive during the days they roamed the earth. Party City in Folsom, CA, is in a quiet low key shopping plaza anchored by a grocery store, drug store, and eateries. The plaza is on the corner of East Bidwell and Broadstone Parkway. read more

I came and found everything I needed fory grandson superhero theme birthday party. Most other locations have empty shelves. Instead of getting frustrated when the computer froze I made the cashier laugh. Give the workers a break and a compliment. It goes along way to help them in their day. We had a little fun with the props too. Big kids here! read more

The staff at Folsom Party City were amazing! I had a time sensitive large delivery and they came through perfectly! Excellent customer service! read more

Spent about $15 on a small little balloon bouquet. Definitely worth it because of all the options they had! The workers were really helpful and patient. Will be coming back for my balloon needs :) read more

I went here to get some balloons for my bfs last day at work, and this amazing lady helped me out so much. I should've asked for her name because she has the best vibe and the best style. I will come back eventually :) read more

Main points... The store was clean. The staff was friendly! The kids always have a blast in here. The story... We were gently greeted when we came in, always nice. I let my 4 year old pick out everything that he needed for his decorations for his upcoming birthday party. (BTW, this is going to be a legendary b-day) We basically spent about 45 minutes in the store running up and down each aisle like a 100 times. We were asked a couple times if we needed help finding something, so I just pointed at the little guy and said that he's in charge. They seemed to understand. Check out can be an issue sometimes, especially if you get behind someone picking out a ton of balloons. However, that wasn't even too bad today. Thanks guys! Good job! read more

I like all the different choices of Halloween Costumes or ideas available to get my creative mine going to hopefully make my own DiY costume, but I don't know anymore.. after coming here. I think I'll buy something.. for the Halloween party of 2014... Still debating. Lots of great choices for all ages, and even pet costumes. I love it. And it's not that crazy expensive compared to the Halloween Store. Will be back again after window shopping. I don't know now if I should be a Marvel Super Heroe of some sort or.... yeah! Will definitely be back later. My mind is sofa king overwhelmed. Namm sayinn.. read more

Great selection of balloons! The woman who assisted me -wish I could remember her name was absolutely lovely...very professional and kind! I had a very specific order of balloon bunches and when I came to pick them up the next day they were exactly as I requested! One star off as the rest of the staff working the following day seemed absolutely miserable. No greeting at all, just handed me my balloons in a very disgruntled manner. Oh well. Thank you to the lovely lady who helped me Thursday afternoon! read more

Party City - Party Supplies Near Me - Folsom, California

Sharee: this ones for you I have never met someone sooo miserable to have a paying job. Ever. That's including McDonalds employees. Came in after the day prior spending upwards of $300 on baby shower supplies, but unfortunately you don't have panda balloons which is the theme so we brought in our own balloons to be filled. Waited in line to PAY for the balloons to be filled and are told it will be 35 minutes.... which hey I get if you're busy but this lady Sharee was unnecessarily rude and hand a stank face the whole transaction. My mom asked nicely is there any way we can get it a little sooner (we realize it's our fault for doing this last minute) but she drops the scanner.... mean mugs us, makes a bunch of hand motions and goes "uh do you see that line, do you see all this going on. We are busy, so no." With a. HUGE attitude! And continued to be rude the whole way thru: not once smiled or said sorry for he wait. Then my mom asks when we will know when he balloons are ready and with a bunch of attitude points and goes "you'll see hem blown up". Yeah ok. You definitely don't deserve to have a job. Miserable shrew. You have negative customer service skills. Let alone normal people skills. Try smiling and approaching problems/customers nicer. Bye Update** obviously disgruntled employees/ friends of employees are upset because they're leaving rude comments on my review, however if you look at the other reviews most of them are similar to mine so clearly there's a pattern so....... cry me a river. Update** another disgruntled employee who has no yelp reviews left another comment. Please continue proving how childish and tacky your employees and friends are. read more

Great service! I went in this Thursday looking for balloons for my little brothers dinosaur birthday party and I wasn't dissatisfied!! Airin helped me tremendously. She was helpful, cheerful, and gave amazing customer service, highly recommend. She helped me pick out a perfect arrangement and blew them up really fast. This was an amazing experience, thank you Airin :) he LOVED the balloons read more

All the Halloween decorations you will need. Spooky skeletons and more. Also a verity of goods I didn't think I would need.

They have all your basic needs for a party. This is usually the first place that we come to look for our children's birthday party's. They usually have some decent deals. But a lot of items are a bit overpriced. They have been out of helium. So keep that in mind if you are looking for that. Like I said before, I usually only come here a couple times per year. They have definitely came up a bit since my last visit. Appearance is much better! read more

Party city has all your basic party and celebration needs! I was here the other day getting some balloons for my friends baby shower and it was really easy to go in, pick your colors and pre order them for pick up later that week. Customer service is good, prices not so much. Yes a little more expensive overall for their supplies than Target, Walmart and dollar tree but you can find practically anything you need in one location / one stop. Did I mention that they also sell halloween costumes?! Parking is easy, store is not hard to find! read more

Thank you staff at party city for saving the day when our delivery from another company was delayed! Last minute party planning and we we're able to pull it off read more

Said to still see that sad excuse of an employee Erin working at this location. Used to go here for everyone of my kids birthday party supplies until I meet that women hope the kinda manger there doesn't lose anymore customers because of her. The manger at this location is a very helpful and lovey person she should help her employee to be more like her read more

They have no idea what they are doing. I work for Shipt, which is a delivery service for groceries and such. This Part City messed up everything they could and made me and one other Shipt shopper become late and ultimately deliver orders that were not ours. Would never recommend coming to the store because only one person was ringing customers up while the other 5 people were just blowing up balloons. Great customer service, NOT! read more

Not great customer service. Went today to get party supplies for my kids birthday. She mentioned they are " out of helium ". I thought she meant out for today. Because it's party city and how could they be out ? So I purchase my items and say I want a balloon order for this weekend. She shoots back " I said we are out of helium !" I said even for this weekend?! Apparently it can take " a month" to get helium. What kind of shit show is this place? How does a party city run out of helium and based on other reviews seems like this happens frequently. Don't waste your time at this place. read more

I went here yesterday to get balloons for my birthday party which is tonight and it hasn't even been 12 hours and my balloons are on the floor. I paid $30 and the sign said they're supposed to last 24 hours. Very disappointed and will never be getting balloons from here again. read more

Wasn't "Party City" a Prince song? What you'll find on the shelves here is as outlandish and flamboyant as anything you'd expect to see in Prince's wardrobe closet, but probably for a lot more affordable price. Party City has become my new go-to spot for helium tank rentals because of the price and their multiple convenient locations, but they are also packed to the rafters with great costumes and party supplies for every occasion. Rarely do I visit without a staff member greeting me and offering to help locate some of my off-the-wall requests. Truly everything about this store lives up to its title! read more

I love the selection of party items here, and the convince is important to me. However, I was not digging the vibe in this store. When looking for items, I was fairly lost and not one employee that walked by me asked me if I wanted help or needed anything. Then when I took my balloons with "free helium fill up" marked on it to the counter the lady blowing up the balloons acted like I was an idiot for not knowing I had to pay first. So I go to pay, and the guy bags up my un-inflated balloons and says have a nice day... No... Not yet.So I go back to the balloon lady and she blows them up half way so they are kinda empty but still workable. She hands them to me and I realize I need to go buy a balloon weight, which they hand to me with the free floating balloons while trying to hand me my change... Can you do me a favor and tie the freaking balloons for me!!!?? Thanks. With how much stress I was in today, they really did not help but thankfully it all got worked out. read more

Don't expect associates to go above and beyond here. Despite the comments I have seen, sadly it became true to me as well. Dropped in one day and granted one employee was juggling customers and attempted to direct me to where I needed to be, but on the day of where I needed to buy a bulk set, the help was lacking and it came off to me as if the girl didn't want to help. It was a Friday evening, I get it, retail, Friday evening, blowing up balloons after another, but geez act like you want to help just a little. Ps balloons are not cheap at party city. read more

I want to say that Holly is the best kept secret in that store! Her banners are spectacular, along with her decorating skills. All the little fine tuning that she helped me with will pay off the day of my party. She made me 2 banners, one for graduation and one for my sons 18th birthday party. She is worth it! Thank you Holly! I will post pictures of the banner soon! read more

Thanks for making it a major pain in the ass to get birthday supplies for my son's 1st birthday just so you could make room for Halloween crap. It's not like anyone has birthdays in September or October and might actually need supplies for their child's first birthday. When my wife approached an associate where the supplies were, she informed us they were taken down to make room for Halloween. Rather than find out what we were looking for and try to get the items from the stockroom, she told us we would have to go to Sacramento or Roseville to get the items we needed. I've been in retail for 20 years, had this been my employee, I'd have sent her home and told her to consider whether she truly wished to work in retail and perhaps consider quitting. Pathetic excuse for customer service. read more

Horrible customer service during Halloween, spend your time and money elsewhere. I waited over 10 minutes with my two kids in the back where you supposedly pick up the costumes. Was passed by by two employees about 6 times with no acknowledgment when I finally asked if I was even in the right place. Told the girl which costume we wanted.... and they didn't have it. It's a month before Halloween. I'll order online next time and save them the pain of having to do their job. Only giving 2 stars because they do have a good selection of decor for Halloween. read more

Really impressive selection of Halloween costumes for all ages. After not finding what I wanted at Spirit or Halloween City I came here. They don't have as many Halloween decorations as Spirit but definitely had a lot in the costume department. Next year this will be my first stop. read more

I have been trying to get a hold of the person in charge of making banners. I placed an order a month ago and i still have not received my banner. It appears it doesn't matter what day of the week I call, the person in charge of the banners is not there. WHAT A SURPRISE! At this point, I'm ready to get my money back and order it from another company. I need the banner for this weekend and I still haven't rec'd it yet! How long does this process take? read more

Wide selection, clean and well organized, and the staff is very friendly. I love a party store that has more than what you expected for a particular theme. Party city never seems to disappoint! read more

What a great store! The balloon selection is literally huge. If i was a rich man id pay to have them blow up every single one for me. Sorry in advance to whoever has to fill the order. But the staff here is super kind and Diane is an expert on anything you could need. She is the best. The staff is the best. I love this store read more

So I'll be throwing my engagement party here in a couple of weeks and I've never had the experience of doing so before. When I arrived at the store there was an aisle for that type of stuff. I shopped around for a while but then had some extra questions, I really just wanted to point out how totally awesome one of the employees were. Diane was so kind and helpful and excited for me and definitely made the experience that much more fun. Someone else was helping my mother and I before and she just didn't really know what she was doing but Diane took control the situation and met our needs 100%! People like her are what make shopping fun and I appreciate her customer service skills. read more

No male costumes left 3 days before Halloween. They kept telling me the costumes I was picking were sold out but they refused to tell me what was in stock. They kept asking me to choose another and they would check stock. Tried 10 times and no luck. Customer service was nonexistent. read more

I had a wonderful experience today at Party City. The gals who worked there were very helpful and friendly!

Great variety of ALL party supplies!! I usually have great customer service here, but this last time wasn't so great at check out. The people restocking the floor where more pleasant and helpful than the girl at the register. Then I had a question, she didn't know the answer and didn't bother to find out. She basically avoided looking at me after that, and then I had to say "thanks, have a good day." At least one of us did her job. read more

So I called today to find out if they carried any 50's costumes, and was given the reply, "I don't know." When I asked if there was anyone who could check for me, she said, "no, not at the moment." Not at all helpful--at the very least she could have taken my phone number and called me back when she had more time. She did, however, let me know that there were plenty of "pirate costumes." Haha. read more

Absolutely the worst place and feel sorry for their employees. The manager John and his manager Mike have 0 consideration and walk past you as if you don't even exist. Both of them need extensive retraining on social skills. John is fake and Mike is just rude. Assistant manager Diane is a powerhouse and keeps that place running so much respect to her but everyone else gets an F. And this isn't even during the busy Halloween season so it's not busy at all but better skills by the 2 managers definitely need to be assessed read more

Really great service! I had to find 30 last minute costumes for my 5th grade class' dance program and John not only helped me find a nice look, he went out of his way to pick up the hats I needed from another location! He went above and beyond to help me and I really appreciate it! read more

The fact that I downloaded the Yelp app to specifically write this review speaks to the lack of quality at this location. Jennifer who I gathered is the "manager" is perhaps the least helpful employee at the store( although it's hard to pick) it is amazing that the store would select a manager with such terrible social and problem solving skills. I would give this store zero stars if I could. I will be going to the Roseville location from now on as to not waste my time and would encourage others to do the same. read more

Jennifer the "sign maker", was not insightful or helpful at all. She had very poor characteristics which she exhibited during my party's visit today. Under the section in which you write what your banner to say we wrote them in quotations in order to clarify exactly what we would have liked in the banner. The banner included the quotations which was a mistake. Not only that, after we gladly accepted the mistake she continued to tell us stories of other mishaps she had failed to correct then charge customers to have her make the correct banner. We shopped around and she continued to bad mouth us saying "oops, oh well" and other comments like "whatever it doesn't matter now" as well as "there's nothing we can do now". I just expected more out of party city, especially out of the Folsom area. I am sincerely disappointed in the customer service and mediocrity associated with the employee as well. read more
