I come here more often than I care to admit. But I guess I'm admitting it by saying that I don't care to admit how often I come here. This is a confession. Once you get over the spookiness of Party City (it somehow reminds me of a zombie apocalypse?) you can really make use of this silly place. As an event planner, I can generally rely on Party City to have many of the bits & bobs I need to add razzle dazzle to my events. Pink cowboy hat? Check. Gift bags in every color of the rainbow? Check. Plastic table cloths? Check. Balloons? Check. Let's talk about the balloons in particular, though. There are a few balloon options: 1 - Buy a package of balloons & have them fill them up behind the counter. They charge a filling fee. 2 - Bring in your own balloons & have them fill them up behind the counter. They charge a filling fee. 3 - Buy a package of balloons & fill it up elsewhere. You can buy a portable helium tank & fill them up at home, if you'd like. 4 - Buy one of their fancy balloons behind the counter & they'll fill it up. The cost of filling is included in the fancy balloon's price. I've tried every single on of these options. Recently, I indulged in #4 & it was ... not worth it. My big, shiny, fancy rainbow balloon made it 30 seconds out of the store until the wind ripped it off the ribbon it was (not so) secured to & it absconded into the sky. I had to laugh. Okay, anyways. This is the store that usually has anything you want for a party, get together or celebration. The prices are not as low as a discount store like Dollar Tree or Five Below, but they do have a large selection. So, if your plans are to have a big bash with all kinds of colorful decor, styles, shapes and ornaments, then Party City is your place to go. The store is pretty much the same as other Party City stores, they all look the same...the staff was nice but busy getting the store organized and ready when I was there. read more

terrible experience! me and my friend were not allowed in because we were "too young"? we went to buy things for a party but were not even allowed in because some rude "man" said that he didn't want "kids"(we are 17) in the store. iParty? Is that you? I had a brief thought today in this store which went as follows: "IF I worked here... I would NEVER be depressed again. EVER. This is heaven. I've arrived." This really is: "WOO HOO!!! AS GOOD AS IT GETS!" I mean, really. Everything in here reminds me of happiness! Good times: PARTIES. Even after arguing RELENTLESSLY about the colors of plates and napkins with Mom on our shopping day extravaganza. Really what got me was all the little penis paraphernalia. Never have I ever... wished I was having or throwing a bachelorette party until now (but who needs one of those in order to have an ample excuse to buy an expandable penis? It's true - iParty. iParty a lot - at least once a month, occasionally more often. iParty at this particular location because a) It's super easy to get to, b) The parking lot is always accommodating, c) The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful and d) This store is CLEAN. Also, they have everything you could possibly need to iParty your party into a 5-star experience. No lie. I've gotten everything from helium tanks to fireman hats and cowoby getup to pretty vessels and balloon weights. Basically, they have anything and everything, and even manage to inspire more ideas for your upcoming shindig. I prefer this store to the others in the area because of the staff, the cleanliness and the location - I mean, the fact that it's a few doors down from Anthropologie and Pinkberry doesn't hurt. I still Love iParty. The few long term staff in this particular location are really sweet and treat the customers like friends or family. You can find pretty much anything that your heart desires here. I've supplied many parties just on iparty alone. The balloon selection is amazing. I used them today just for that... read more

Very bad experience. I went in for baptism christening stuff and balloons. I wish I never went. The aisle that was marked christening had nothing but tiki and bbq stuff. I asked an associate where the baptism stuff was located and she told me that the non important items are in the back of a store on a small cart. The store has decided not to sell religious items any more. I was a bit offended that the associate imparted her feelings on Christianity to me. All I wanted to know was where the stuff was. Went to the register to get some balloons. Associates was condescending because I did not order balloons ahead of time. I asked to purchase two balloon weights and the associate was very snippy and said we don't put those together for you, you have to do it. Ooooook, I did not ask, but thanks for your attitude. Got my balloons after I paid for everything and as soon as I left the store one of the expensive Mylar balloons that I purchased flew away from the bottom of the balloon as the associate did not fasten the ribbon to the bottom of the balloon properly. Very rude! Not customer service focused, the customer is a bother and heaven forbid you ask for anything religious. If I wanted to be a jerk about it, I could claim discrimination. Worst customer service experience ever. I went in to have balloons blown up that I bought online for a baby shower. The 4 balloons cost me $40. The employee took a phone call while blowing up the balloon and popped it. She proceeded to say it was my fault that I purchased a defective balloon (not that she wasn't paying attention). The manager never apologized and kept saying I should have bought back up balloons in case this happened. No one took ownership that they popped my balloon ($40 went wasted). All I needed was an apology. Again, don't recommend anyone go there if they want to deal with an incompetent bunch. read more

I went to Party City to gather some party supplies and order balloons. I ordered the balloons and was asked if I was ok that they would stay inflated for 5-8 hours, which I agreed was fine. I pre paid for my balloons and spent another several dollars on various other items while in the store. I ordered my balloons for pick up at noon as my sons birthday party started at 2....the day that I went to go pick up them was a Saturday and the store was incredibly busy. There were at least 4 people filling up balloons and one individual working the cash register. I was the third in line, and the family at the register had a cart full of stuff to purchase, which included needing a price change. It took several minutes for any of the employees to acknowledge the people in line as they continued to talk and blow up balloons. After waiting in line for well over 10 minutes, I went up the register and stated that I had a return and that I needed to pick up my balloon order. I handed the lady my two items for return and she rang them up. When I reminded her that I needed to return them and not purchase them, she stated that it was just such a busy day and she was tired. I waited for someone with a key to come to the register to delete the transaction and she then issued my return. She informed me to use the same debit card that I had used to purchase for the refund, which I was unsure of which it was (the receipt via email had no indication of the card I used)....I questioned why I could not receive cash back, which appeared to be a quicker option, and she stated that I was unable to do so. I finally found the credit card I used and received my refund. I then stated three times that I needed to pick up my balloons. She asked for my name twice and then asked to see the receipt to verify it was me, which was AFTER I stated my name and phone number for her. I received my 15 balloons and again was told they would last 5-8 hours. I put the balloons in my car and drove 4 miles to my home...by the time I got home and tied the balloons up, they were almost completely deflated! I was also irritated that all of the ribbons on the balloons were intertwined so badly with each other that I was unable to separate the balloons and had to keep them tied up all together in one area of the party. I called the manager the next day and she stated that the reason they deflated was because of the heat. I informed her that they were deflated well before being outside and that was not the case. She stated she would give me another order of balloons, which I informed her was something I was not interested in as the party was over. I asked for a cash refund and she agreed. I went BACK to the store 3 days later with my receipt for a refund of the balloons and AGAIN there were two individuals blowing up balloons while I sat and waited in line. Once I finally got someone to attend to me, I was given a refund for 12 balloons....when I had bought 15 total! I did not realize it until after and could not imagine having to go back into the store. Overall, I am incredibly disappointed in the customer service that occurred during the MANY times I visited this store over the past week! read more
