The fitting room situation is always a little stressful there is a long line, rooms are small with curtains, and the employees have to unpack/pack all the costumes for you. I get that reduces theft and lost items it's just a small space for all of that.

I called the store ahead of time to make sure they blew up balloons & the woman on the phone acted like I was an idiot. I continued to go into the store, because sometimes communication over the phone isn't so well. I had a couple packs of balloons & needed them aired up for the next day. (keep in mind that I didn't need to pick up these balloons until the next day) As soon as we took the balloons out of the bag she had a bad attitude and wouldn't stop checked her watch. We asked her if the balloons could fit in our car and she did not respond, instead she continued to look at her watch angrily. Then she said "I'm not worried about if they'll fit in your car. What I'm worried about is that we close in two hours. Can't you see that I'm the only person working?" (also keep in mind that it is September. I'm not sure who is rushing to get costumes in September). So we repeated that there was no rush & that we didn't need to pick up the balloons until the next day. She continued to argue with us, so we took our balloons and went to Party City where they greeted us with smiling faces and positive words!

Ohhhh, Halloween Express. I want to love you, but you give me a headache…read more Yes, this place has a huge variety of costumes. In most situations you should be able to find what you need - that just wasn't the case for me. The first time I stopped in, I just needed a pair of butterfly wings. I made the mistake of not taking them out of the bag and checking them out, but when I got home and did, the wings were completely faulty and didn't even stay up with the built-in shoulder straps. I ended up grabbing a new set from Party City that worked much better. The second time, we stopped by to look for a toddler's shark costume that we saw on their website. A staff member helped us look, but we weren't seeing it, and he kind of just wandered away instead of helping us continue to search for it. We ended up checking with another staff member at the register who helped us look online, and he also wasn't much help. When we asked when it would arrive by, he just gave us a blank look and said "I don't know... probably by Halloween, but I don't know." Alrighty... There are a lot of fun choices here, but double-check the quality and don't go looking for something very specific, even if it's on the website. And prepare to fend for yourself.
