So please be careful when considering braces in a older age! I found Dr. Lorelei Grisé, a periodontist, which she was a angel sent from above seriously. From the first meet she really acknowledged what I was going through and even text me personally after my visit. I felt like she went beyond her scope to make me feel comfortable and supported by telling me exactly what was going on with my teeth and recommended me what to do. She is very detailed which is what I was looking for especially in the dental world. I just saw her again yesterday for a regular cleaning and I have never had such an amazing dental cleaning like my teeth look so nice and I was so happy with them. Especially how I was so sad what was going on with my teeth due to the braces, my teeth never looked this bad so for me it was a big deal. I'm glad I'm starting the new year off right with my teeth. The receptionist are so nice and the staff members are also so nice always with a smile and greeting you as soon as you walk in the clinic. It wasn't until I got the state of Illinois involved (from the encouragement of my insurance company) that I FINALLY received my money after almost a year! They told lie after lie after lie. Each lie contradicted the next, even my insurance company told me they had never experienced something like this! My reimbursement should have taken maybe 3 weeks, and I had to literally fight for it to get processed so badly that my insurance company and I questioned whether they had a valid, up to date license (I still question whether they let something lapse). These "ladies" are malicious, gaslighting, evil people and for absolutely no reason whatsoever. In the beginning I even assisted them in getting a housekeeper for their new home and contributed cleaning supplies as a nice gesture only for them to turn around and try to completely screw me over! This space isn't long enough for me to detail all the different lies they told and how many unnecessary hoops they forced me to jump through. It wasn't until I got the Illinois medical fraud department involved that I got my refund and even then, they had the money sent to them instead of me! I have reported all the details to the Better Business Bureau and the Illinois Medical Association/Department. It was so long and drawn out that I was almost forced to file a lawsuit. And all of this was for absolutely no reason. These people are truly awful. I NEVER leave reviews for establishments unless they are positive but, this situation was so ridiculous and so, so, SO frustrating that I feel the need to let people know to steer clear of this office. They worked well together and in tandem so that I was always tended to and my mouth never filled up with excess fluids. Feels like I'll get my refund as long as the insurance is ok with it, but they will never be at risk of losing a session fee.
