Special shout out to the office manager Sheri who has cleared up minor miscommunications and really gone out of her way to make me feel like a member of the family at first class smiles.

Her technical acumen, kindness, humor and chairside manner are second to none. Any reader looking for a dentist need look no further than this wonderful clinician and her well run practice and skilled, jovial and salubrious staff. Doctor Weinfield has been my personal dentist for more than 30 years and, before that, was my dad's beloved provider. I still remember my dad returning to his home after his first visit to Doctor Weinfield at Edgewater Hospital (before the HHS indictment with which Lois had nothing to do, she simply rented space there) amazed and impressed by this "new dentist" who did in one visit what his beloved Kenny Rogers lookalike, long time family friend and ready to retire provider took three to accomplish. From that point on, Doctor Weinfield became our provider of choice and, between us, we've likely referred 25 patients to her over the years and most of these individuals become and remain her patients and would offer the same enconiums I am here if asked to do so. (BTW, I was not asked to provide this long overdue testimonial). I compare the care I received from Lois to that I was forced to endure from a huckster dentist, south of downstate Mattoon, IL, when I worked nearby about 27 years ago. I experienced a dental emergency secondary to getting hit in the left cheek by a fastball and cracked an upper molar. I went to the first dentist I could find and the dentist spent about 3 minutes examining the region of interest before telling me that this "job" was "above my (his) pay grade". He did, however, prove particularly adept at telling me the dangers of the mercury containing fillings in my mouth and the need to remove them lest I suffer the ill consequences thereof, including memory loss, unabting thirst, priapism, impotence, illusions o graduer, perpetual dreams of Ruth Buzzi or Ruth Bader Ginsberg and a host of other maladies too numerous to even recall. In short, this clinician was more a used car salesman than the barely breathing octogenerian traversing Z-Frank's expansive lot at this very moment, and I was able to quickly discern as much. I promptly extricated myself from his chair and office and made an appointment with Doctor Weinfield the next week. She took care of the problem in 90 minutes and disabused me of the notion that I would never be able to present to my colleagues, without a well position podium, secondary to the ominous mercury fillings about which I was told could and would be my demise. Many friends have told me that their primary care dentists routinely refer them to specialists for root canals, extractions and implants and, on hearing this, I feel sorry for them and simultaneously blessed becuase Lois does all of these things with the aplomb of a truly gifted professional. She is, quite literally, a "one stop shop" for all dental related needs and I would never think of going anywhere else. I gladly pay out of pocket for every service she provide because of the skill and care she imparts at every visit. Look no further than Doctor Weinfield's office and staff for the best dental experience you will ever have. If, however, you miss those old Earl Sheib or Popeil Pocket Fisherman commericals from the 1960's, please contact me and I'll give you directions to a specific office, likely, unfortunately, still in existence, about 225 miles south as the crow flies, down Interstate 57, to consult with some huckster pretending to be what Doctor Weinfield has proven to this writer to be time after time, again and again: The finest dentist, bar none, in Chicagoland and beyond.

As someone who sees the dentist religiously every 6-mos and has an excellent dental health history, this didn't go as expected. My former dentist of 35 years just retired, so I was looking for a new dentist. This office is a local practice; and, not a "corporate clinic," so I was looking forward to a positive experience and finding my next dentist. I scheduled a simple cleaning 10 days ago. It required 7 pages of initial paperwork and I received 4 text notifications prior to the appointment. They repeatedly reminded me to attend and informed me that if I wasn't there, and on time, I would be charged at least $75 and possibly more... okay. No problem. I understand. So I arrive 10 minutes early to fill out the forms. The receptionist barked instructions to me and demanded my drivers license. It was strange. Stressful. Then I went to the exam room and the hygienist shared the lengthy explanation of "how they do things." Since I had x-rays 6 months ago, they wouldn't clean my teeth without seeing those x-rays first; and, unfortunately, my former dentists' office was closed, so they sent me home. I still can't believe it and I'm embarrassed. Why didn't they call my dentist last week to get what they needed? They are clear with their time boundaries, but what about working ahead so it's a positive experience for both of us and an efficient use of my time, too? What an embarrassing first appointment that should have been simple and effortless - something's wrong. I won't be back and don't recommend this practice.
