We have never left hungry until tonight. I ordered the Brisket Plate which came out with about 8oz of Chipped Brisket. Exactly 8oz as if measuring with a small cup in the back. The BBQ Brisket Nachos were a small tray of tortilla chips within a larger empty tray that held a measured cup of salsa, but there not enough toppings to cover them, possibly a tablespoon or two of Brisket. When I asked if we could have more cheese for all the blank chips, they said it was 50c cents for each 2oz cup. The full rack of ribs was as it used to be. I guess it's hard to limit the number of ribs nature provides. The baked beans tasted as if they have switched to canned. Also, Do not look away, they will take your tray while you are still chewing your food. I am not sure if they have limited number in the back and need to wash them quickly, or if they are so used to seeing empty trays it seems normal. I really hope this is just a phase and that they will get back into the service previously provided. We usually also buy ice cream, which has always been great, but we were so surprised by the change, I was scared to go further. In summary, fantastic BBQ, but currently appetizer sized at an entree price.

The small space is nicely appointed, tastefully, but also unquestionably like a BBQ joint. What does that mean...hard to know, but at the same time, it's nearly always easy to tell when you are inside a BBQ joint vs any other restaurant. The ribs are delicate and fall off the rack, with an intense Smokey flavor. The wings are their signature dish and also rather incredible. People are nice and there isn't much more one can ask for. And my BBQ is pretty darn good. When it comes to eating out I have a rule that the place has to make something or do it in a way that is either cheaper than I can do or make better than I can make it. Hog Daddy's nails both of those points. My kids are quite picky eaters. They tend to gravitate to the typical 6-year-old habits of chicken strips and other fried foods. My girls were not pleased that I chose Hod Daddy's at first. Then they tried it and asked me to go back the next day and get more. The girls loved the pulled pork sandwich which they said "needed nothing else, it was so good." He even chopped up a 1/4 chicken leg for my twins that wanted chicken instead of port. That was not on the menu but he obliged as he saw I had my hands full with these picky girls. They loved the chicken sandwich! My wife and I got the Pulled Pork and Ribs platter. Between the two of us, we had Brunswick Stew, Potato Salad, and Baked Beans as sides. As you know, you can judge a place on it's stew. Hog Daddy did not disappoint. His Brunswick Stew was FIRST RATE. The pulled pork was top notch. Juicy and did not need sauce. The ribs were perfect. Fell off the bone and were also juicy and full of flavor. Well, the young lady forgot to put my order in, so I ended up waiting over 25 minutes for this hoagie. By the time I got it, I was ready to take a picture, sit in my car, and have my little food review moment. But NOPE. That could not happen because the sandwich was absolutely slathered in "special sauce." It was giving sauce with a side of sandwich.
