I appreciate that they worked to resolve the issue, even though it took longer than I had hoped. After my daughter's oil change, her car started leaking oil. We brought it back and within five minutes we were told everything had been checked, everything was fine, and the car was safe to drive. Unfortunately, because the car wasn't parked in one place for very long, we had no idea it was still leaking. It wasn't until the car sat in our driveway for three days that we discovered it was continuing to leak oil. By then, she had already driven the vehicle all the way from Connecticut to North Carolina with the leak. Brand-new driveway covered with a big oil stains. We took the car to our local Take 5 in North Carolina, where they found the problem almost immediately: the Connecticut location had failed to install the gasket on the drain plug during the oil change. Mistakes happen, but what is unacceptable is that we recognized there was a problem, brought the car back, and were reassured that everything was fine after only a few minutes. That reassurance led to a 600+ mile drive with an active oil leak. This could have caused catastrophic engine damage, and instead it left us with a damaged brand-new driveway. This wasn't just an honest mistake it was a failure to properly diagnose and correct a problem that they created after we specifically returned because the car was leaking oil. Extremely disappointing service and a preventable situation that never should have happened.

This (and probably all) Monro is basically using Groupon as advertisement to lure people in with a deal and change it after they've already paid most of it. $20+ for an "environmental fees" for an oil change. The new manager, Chance, along with the team of auto mechanic technicians, have been incredibly helpful, reasonable, and professional. From jump-starting a dead battery and installing a new one quickly, to completing much-needed last-minute repairs on our son's truck before he returned to college, and most recently, thoroughly investigating an emergency notification light on one of our vehicles -- they've gone above and beyond every time. Finding trustworthy and qualified mechanics is not easy, and knowing we can rely on the Mobile Trumbull Service Center right here in our town is both comforting and greatly appreciated. I left it with them because the tires were not done yet and they said it needed brakes. The manager told me they would have it completed by Thursday afternoon then he said Friday or at latest by Saturday. No phone call Friday or Saturday. Stopped by Sunday early afternoon and there it sat on the lift with no one working on it, tires off and no new brakes. I told the manager to put it back together and I'd be back to pick it up after he told me it would be a few hours before it would be ready to pick up. I then picked it up at 4:30 Sunday afternoon, 4 1/2 days to replace four tires and perform an alignment is unacceptable. I told the manager it was a poor business model to keep taking in new customers while leaving their earlier customers vehicles not being worked on for days. The manager was friendly and apologized every time I spoke to him but nothing changed. Wow I came here to give a review for my bad experience and come to find so many others were dealing with exactly the same problem as me. These people have zero experience. This is a beginners mechanic stop they barely know the basics. They caused a leak in my car whold not following instructions and mishandling my oil pan plug and no one wanted to take responsi . It's like they deal with it in a local level and actually refused to my face when I requested to speak to someone higher up in the Valvoline chain they just completely blatantly deny you and immediately close your case without even hearing you out. The regional manager, Dominic Torlish did not even allow me to plead my case to him I never spoke with the man he only heard the local managers side of the story who is responsible for causing the leak. This is very much conflict of interest because if it's dealt with at a local level and you cannot plead your case to anyone higher up in the Valvoline chain why would local managers admit they are at fault if they never have to answer to anyone higher up.
