They also offered me a military discount when they saw the plates on the car of the family member who dropped me off (retired marine). Then I called Auto Kingdom -- and the contrast could not have been sharper. Right from the first phone call, everyone I spoke with was friendly, relaxed, and -- importantly -- straightforward about the condition of the Honda Ridgeline I had my eye on. No games, no mysterious "just sold," no pressure. When I arrived, Michael met me and immediately struck me as someone who genuinely enjoys people. Knowledgeable, yes -- but also friendly in a way you don't see much in this business. The whole process was refreshingly simple. We talked, I looked over the truck, and maybe 20 minutes later the paperwork was done. No drama, no surprises, no last-minute upsell. Driving the truck all the way back to Maine, it performed flawlessly the entire trip -- though frankly, it's a Honda Ridgeline, so I wasn't expecting anything less. The manager in charge was both friendly and attentive...he asked all the basic questions and began to look the car over. They checked the following; headlights, turn signals, brake lights and license plate lights, coolant, air filter, washer fluid as well tires.
