    Outdoor garden

Ambiance is wonderful: a delicate and comfortable outdoor garden, suitable for lunch and dinner in summertimes; Service: polite, young and pretty waitresses, absolutely adding points to the dining experience; Food: gorgeous and high-quality, also nice looking Definitely will come back again~

I think everything about this place was all wrong.... no. no. no. Came here for afternoon tea one day and as we walked in, we (3 of my friends and i) are given attitude greetings by the hostess, talking to us like were dumb. She sat us down and walked away. We had to ask another host for water and recommendations and menus. The second we were looking at the menu, I would say the prices are crazy expensive for one set........ what you get is NOT worth it and honestly, HATED all the food there. Nothing tasted decent in my opinion. The have a good variety and they do either pastry or finger sandwich refills, but honestly, it just was upsetting my stomach. They have four different options for the afternoon tea and each is priced per person. The tea itself was decent, but the bitter taste of the overall experience drowned out anything good about this place. Set on a nice patio with lots of flies, but in the end, someone who looked like they were the manager came over and got the check for us. She was nice about it and was super friendly and patient.

Being from the US, when I imagine an upscale British restaurant to meet someone for tea: this would be the place. They have an awesome outdoor patio area surrounded by old vines growing up the building. Indoors the setting is a modern version of a quaint English old world setting. Tea coffee served in silver tea pot, lots of dishes and silverware, white cloth napkins. Excellent service. Excellent food quality.

    Lovely afternoon spot for tea

We had two high teas. They were beautiful to look at. My husband enjoyed his cream tea. For myself, I took a chance in that I didn't recognize the foods offered on the savory tea. It was too rich for my taste. All a matter of your preference. Tea offered was stunning.

Went for tea here when I was in oxford with some mates. We sat outside and it was absolutely beautiful; perfect weather, completely shaded, and a beautiful space! The tea was just what we wanted, we shared the afternoon tea bc we weren't super hungry and it was the perfect amount and not expensive at all! There's also endless refills on sandwiches and scones. The pastries weren't as amazing as they could've been but don't let that stop you from going here bc it's totally worth it! The staff were also extremely kind and helpful!

British comfort food done right. I had a goat cheese souffle for an appetizer and chicken pie for the entree, both of which were fantastic.

We were seated quickly. The men working were friendly and let us know it might be a moment as they were taking care of a large party ahead of us. We were fine with that as we planned on doing the 2 for £13 cocktails to start, but we appreciated the warning! We both for the French martinis which we loved. The server brought out our small plate quickly and it was filling enough that we were fine to wait on entrees (though it came out rather quickly despite how busy they were). The pad Thai and burger were both great and flavorful. We did one entree and then a deal where we got a 3 course meal for £22. To finish the meal the popcorn chocolate brownie was decadent and I would 10/10 have it again. The vibes were cool and a great way to end the day. Prices were very reasonable as well. I would recommend this as a date night spot as well. Thank you fora fun experience! Glad we stopped by!

We usually ate elsewhere or cooked our own dinners before coming by, so I can't speak to the food, but the drinks were always on point. I had a special fondness for the bartenders here because they were always happy to strike up a conversation with us. We had lots of laughs - one night in particular, they brought me to tears making fun of what they perceived as oddities in American passports. They also helped us one night when a buddy drunkenly lost his phone in the building. They were patient and good natured, which is about all you can ask of bar staff. Again, if you're not feeling like making new friends, there's plenty of room to spread out with your own social group or even be asocial, if that's what you're wanting. It's a welcoming, fun place, and a little bit more laid back than some of the other pubs around.

Such a quaint place. We all ordered a vegetarian plate which comes with eggs, veggie sausage, baked beans, and brown toast. I also ordered a coffee to accompany with it. God knows that I needed a boost of caffeine. Now, this was my first time in the UK so I knew that there would be different variations in the presentation or taste of the food. I wish I took a picture of my plate because the food was delicious, however, the eggs had an orange tint. The veggie sausage did not taste like sausage nor did it look like sausage. It looked more like hash browns rolled into the form of a sausage with frozen veggies. The baked beans were a nice touch to the plate. My husband absolutely loved it and since coming home, has incorporated it into his breakfast. Friendly service.
