As 5 Family members we decided to do this boat tour for an afternoon out on the water. Apparently there was a minimum of 8 people but they decided to take us out on a smaller boat. We loved having the boat to ourselves. It was a beautiful day and we saw a ton of dolphins jumping around. All drinks were complementary. Larry and Taylor were awesome. Loved the stories. Whether you see dolphins or not, this is always a great venture to take guests in town. We only saw one dolphin off in the distance on our sunset cruise, when we left the Dunedin arena, but we saw quite a few at Honeymoon Island that day so it wasn't a big deal for our guests. The threat of rain loomed, so we didn't go the planned route, instead routed around it. (This is Florida in the rainy season). The first mate was prompt with the drinks (water, soda, beer, sangria, punch, wine) and the atmosphere is totally jovial. There is some sea spray if you sit up front at the bow but it's warm out so it wasn't an issue for anyone. We did see an interesting sunset though with low clouds and rain off in the distance. If you don't have a boat but want to go out on a great short boat ride, this is it. We've been on it at least a dozen times and always have fun. read more

I'm writing this updated review as I don't think my first review gave these guys enough credit. First, my wife and I go out with these folks often. They do such a wonderful job, the Parrotdise Express is one of our go to attractions when family or friends come down for a visit. I can honestly say, this has ALWAYS been a big hit every single time!!! The online reservations are easy to make and the check-in and onboarding process is easy. The crew is alway outstanding. Be mindful, the beers, sangrias, soft drinks and water are unlimited which either Shawn or Susan dole out readily. The boat itself is well maintained, plenty of seating room, gives a steady ride and the head (bathroom) is clean. Recently my daughter and son-in-law were married on Honeymoon Island and they liked the Parrotidse express so much, from past visits they wanted to fit this into the wedding plans. So, we chartered the entire boat and once again, the crew of the Parrotdise express came through with flying colors. Setting up the reservation was easy, everyone was treated very well while on the cruise. And how can I forget the main attractions! Sure, you get in some great views of the intercostal waterway, several celebrities homes are pointed out, the views of Clearwater beach, Caladesi and Honeymoon Islands are picturesque and if you take the sunset cruise, that can make for a wonderful view. But for me, the stars of the show are of course the dolphins and we've seen plenty of them when on the Parrotdise Express. We've been on several other dolphin cruises in the area, but by far, Parrotdise Express seems to know where to go and get the Dolphins to swim around the boat. I've concluded that this is due to two factors. One, the Captains know what they are doing and the best spots. Two, the boat is able to get up to the right speed and develop a wake that get the Dophins to come by and play for a bit. So, if you are looking for a leisurely, on the water experience, get in some sight seeing, a sunset on the water and the chance to see some dolphins, then I would highly recommend going to Dunedin and taking a ride with the crew of the Parrotdise Express!! A bonus is that either before or after the cruise, Dunedin has many options for meals, drinks and dessert. To everyone at Parrotise Express... Bravo Zulu!!! read more

I don't know where to start. This experience is much of the reasoning for the love I have for Dunedin today. From a young age, my family and I have attended the Parrotdise Express many times with many different people- nobody was ever disappointed. The trip takes you from Dunedin through Clearwater, providing you with many excellent views and experiences. The dolphins act like they are literally putting on a show for you, jumping besides the boat leaving a splash. The excitement on the boat is unmatched. Captain Jeff is maybe in my top 10 people ever, as he never fails to multiply the enjoyment of the experience- always shouting "jump dolphins jump" like a magic trick that actually works. We took the Snorkel and Shelling trip to Anclote Key with Captain Ron and his "hydration specialist" Shaun! They had plenty of water and other drinks, plus sanitized snorkels and bags for shells. We saw several dolphins. The snorkeling spot was beautiful and we saw many fish, crab, and even a starfish among the sea grass. Ron and Shaun had great senses of humor and were both very knowledgeable of the area. This cruise was amazing! From friendly staff to the all you can drink on board it's a great pick for adults. He always has a first mate available to assist with refilling your drinks the entire cruise and answering any questions you may have. Captain Jeff is always on the lookout for Dolphins and does a great job once he sees a pod to have them play alongside the boat. My daughter and I had the absolute BEST dolphin watch trip yesterday. We had dolphins jumping behind the boat and another racing along side of us . They followed the boat for a long time it was amazing. The captain told us to clap and shout to encourage them to jump which we did, and it worked. The sunset on the way back was spectacular.
