She treats your dog as if he was her own and sends you daily updates (via email or text) with pictures, reassuring you that your dog is in great hands and doing well. Most recently, my dog Prince stayed with her for a week - the longest he's been away from home - and his birthday fell during that stay. She baked him the most adorable doggie cake for me to take home to celebrate when I got back, and also got him a Prince crown cookie with his name on it and sent me pics of him in a party hat! He also got a solo walk to PetSmart with Norm to pick his own toy, and an egg for breakfast - one of his favorite foods to eat! I am always blown away by how caring and loving they are and it makes me feel so much better if and when I have to travel, knowing that Prince is in good hands! I adopted him when he was 4 years old, and he had been owner surrendered at a shelter so the thought of boarding him at a kennel just made me so upset. I found her on Yelp and Prince has stayed with her 3 times so far, and I can't say enough great things about Samantha and Norm. 100% recommend them to anyone who wants a home away from home for their dog while they're away. She even checks in periodically, especially right after the stay, to check in on my pup and make sure he's doing well! And the first few visits, she even provided a wonderful take home bag with toys and homemade treats for Prince. So incredibly sweet and well priced. And much better than the options I've seen on DogVacay, which can be $50-75/night for minimal supervision! I'll be back the next time I go out of town!

I've been trying to plan for a week-long work trip at the beginning of May, followed some time in Europe, and needed to secure boarding. Over three days, I submitted multiple intake forms (in case the first didn't go through), sent texts, and called. There was no follow-up, no acknowledgment. Nothing. The only response I received was a single text saying they weren't accepting new boarders until May 1 and to fill out a request form...which I had already done multiple times. If you're too busy to take on new clients, that's completely understandable. But ignoring repeated outreach and sending a generic, unhelpful response isn't. Communication matters, especially when people are trying to make plans with real deadlines. They may be great with dogs, but based on this experience, I wouldn't rely on them if you expect professionalism or responsiveness.

Rachael does a fabulous job on both of my dogs every month from head to tail! My dogs love her and behave very well with her so she must be doing something right! I get them washed, cut (on one dog) and nails trimmed along with having her grind them so they are smooth. She drains the anal glands and cleans ears too. Her truck isn't fancy, she's just an excellent groomer who loves what she does and supports her family with her business. You won't be disappointed! For 4 weeks, we would come up to the store before opening hours to handfeed her. Before we knew it, she was looking forward to our visits and blossoming into her little personality. They worked on socializing her and harness training her. This is not the time to be cheap. This is a lifelong companion. Handfeedings and socializing parrots is a lot of work. The sweet ladies at the store spend all day caring, training, and loving on all the parrots ( big and small). Maya is well adjusted to our family life , I'm not sure I would have had the confidence without Dallas Parrots. I still go there for toys and treats even though it's a 30 minute drive for me.

It's close to my work, making it very easy to drop off and pick up. After reading reviews we decided this was the place for us, Three+ years later, our pup still goes there most days. He's excited to be dropped off and happy to be picked up. The employees are great with the dogs, and I get daily reports of his adventures. Most of all, we also get peace of mind that he bid safe and not all by himself all day when we are at work. Suzette is great with him and greets him by name. She's taken additional security measures to keep the facility safe and secure (not in the best neighborhood, but that's not her fault, and not a reason not to take your dog there).
