This is a somewhat no frills, neighborhood-y spot, which was exactly what we were looking for. Food was outstanding, though our first steak (entrana) came out totally overcooked and had to be remade--but the remake was delicious. We also had a very good matambrito de cerdo, which I also would have liked less cooked, but it still tasted great.
Service was stretched, but nice. And this was the first place where I felt like I wasn't treated at all like a foreigner, which might mean that it isn't a good spot for people with limited spanish.
The two of us had two half portions of meat, a big bowl of salad and a big bowl of fries, a half bottle of wine, which was very nice, and two deserts for 26,000 pesos, which is currently about $26, plus tip--so not the cheapest place here, but a very good value. read more
