They will promise you all your insurance work and parts ..then they will skimp on…read moreeverything they can . e.g. fix parts instead of ordering new , buff up paint instead of new paint , take 2 or 3 times longer to do the work and once you get your keys they get paid from ins co immediately at FULL VALUE OF QUOTE . Even if you tell ins co that you were cheated THEY STILL get their money from ins co. They know that you do NOT get to give the ins co your consent re the job done. You can however spend Months if you want registering a complaint ...but owners know that nobody will do that. They will tell you everything you want to hear at start...and hide what was actually done.

June/2017. Randy, brought my childs vehicle in for S.g.i…read more claim. Dealt with kavia on behalf of my child, told them from outset that anything less than perfect was not acceptable. They agreed. Was not done on time schedule agreed upon, fenders and hood were misaligned a rookie mistake. Paint began peeling on valance 6 months later. Third party mechanical repair which Kavia chose, attempted to overcharge on bill. After agreeing to fixed cost prior to work being done, then Kavia attempted to charge for nearly double the cost for a standard procedure. After complaining the second charge was removed. Not covered by s g.i., insurers are corrupt. Vehicle wasn't cleaned inside or outside. Would not recommend this shop to repair anything with wheels. Thank you.

Not a good time to purchase a vehicle from SMP with the GM employing his uneducated children…read more Our 4th sale at SMP and Jayden unfortunately was our salesman. We have no contact with him, he's been so unhelpful. Hasn't checked up on us to see how the truck is doing or anything. Randy was our salesman for the last 3 sales, will miss him - but we see that he has left. We got the truck and took it for a drive on the highway and noticed vibration when pressing on the breaks. Inconventiently had to bring the truck in for service to find that the rotors were warped. The drivers windshield wiper arm was also bent. They fix both things. There's still a bit of a vibration but what can you do? It's documented and on warranty and we did what we could as customers. We were promised a full tank of fuel and we were given the truck with 1/4 tank. We were told the truck would be ready Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday, then 100% on Thursday at 4pm. We didn't get the truck until the Friday. Jayden was sick the Friday we pick up the truck. His sister Kiara takes over our file. She has the paperwork in the incorrect name, she didn't know anything about onstar, and she couldn't find the block heater cord for the truck. A week goes by of owning the truck (we traded 2 vehicles in for the truck) and 2 vehicle payments are taken out from our bank account. The cheque from SMP was not sent to the bank in time, and inconveniently we are having to wait days if not weeks to get our refund back. Not everyone has an extra $1100 laying around. Truly unsatisfied.

I have been going to SMP for a number of years however, as of today that will never happen again…read more In 2015 ago I purchased a 2013 GMC Terrain from SMP. When I purchased the vehicle the rear view mirror fell off after few days because the temperature was cold and this caused the glue to fail. I took it back and they glued the mirror back on. Within no time the mirror fell off again. I knew there must be some problem with the windshield as this should not keep happening. They again, stuck the mirror back on the windshield. Since this time I have always kept the vehicle in my garage and therefore protected from the extreme cold. During the Christmas break the mirror once again fell off due to the car being parked outside in cold weather (we are in Canada). I took it back to SMP to have it glued back on again. When I took it in to the service department I was told that other services should be done on the vehicle so I agreed to have the transmission fluid changed (almost $300). Later, I received a phone call that my vehicle was ready for collect but they could not glue the mirror back on as I needed a new windshield! As this was an issue from the begin I was unhappy that now the warrantee was up they find that it should be replaced. I returned to collect my vehicle from SMP and went to the sales areas where I originally bought the vehicle to see if they would be able to help me. Dan Barrett was fast to come out to the call when he thought I might be someone who was buying a vehicle however, he soon let me know that he would not be able to see me for about half hour, and that others were either on their lunch break or not available when he knew what I was there for. I waited until someone was able to see me. I saw Dan's assistance Autumn and explained the problem. I want to emphasis at this time, the windshield/rear-view mirror are the same ones I was having difficulties with when I purchased the vehicle, they have not been changed. Autumn went to see someone to see if this could be sorted out, unfortunately the answer was no because I have had the vehicle too long. I duly collected my vehicle and paid for the transmission fluid change, drove it to the next block to Speedy Glass, who glued the mirror back on and did not charge me for this service. Way to go Speedy Glass (fantastic company who know great customer service). And no mention of needing a new windshield and they could tell that the mirror had been glued on at least a couple of time before. It makes me wonder if the windshield does need replacing or were SMP just trying to rip me off. I will never be using SMP to purchase a vehicle, to have any service done on a vehicle, or the use the body shop again.

After test driving a wonderful vehicle and also considering trade in value and repairs we decided to maintain our current vehicle. Every step of the way the team was transparent and easy to talk to. They did not try to sway us in one way or another, just provided the facts. Each of our truck repairs was completed with great communication and providing information. I felt assured we were making informed choices and I was provided updates every step of the way. We will certainly utilize Auto Connection in the future.

Bought a vehicle, air conditio ing didnt work even though they had it checked off as being inspected. Took it back to get fixed and they dragged their feet and tried to charge me for the repairs. I refused to pay and reminded them of the inspection sheet. Then they said it was fixed. Next hot day i tried the AC and no cool air. Phoned them back and they said to bring it in. Now they say the compressor is shot and they would be happy to fix it if I come up with 900 dollars. They said it worked after they " fixed it" the last time. My question is, if they said it worked when it left the last time and werent going to fix it, then why tell me to bring it in? They knew it wasnt working properly. I jave brought it back 4 times since I bought it in less than a month. They tried to charge me for parts, repairs, etc. the whole way through this ongoing issue. Then they just say, " it worked when you left last time." I call bullshit. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE. I am not confident they did ANY of the inspection checklist now.
