I refused to pay and reminded them of the inspection sheet. Then they said it was fixed. Next hot day i tried the AC and no cool air. Phoned them back and they said to bring it in. Now they say the compressor is shot and they would be happy to fix it if I come up with 900 dollars. They said it worked after they " fixed it" the last time. My question is, if they said it worked when it left the last time and werent going to fix it, then why tell me to bring it in? They knew it wasnt working properly. I jave brought it back 4 times since I bought it in less than a month. They tried to charge me for parts, repairs, etc. the whole way through this ongoing issue. Then they just say, " it worked when you left last time." I call bullshit. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE. I am not confident they did ANY of the inspection checklist now.

My baby was hurting. 320k on SOHC 4.0L 9.75:1 V6. I bought it at 51k. The 270k I drove it were 80%…read morehighway. Always full synthetic oil. Developed an intermittent miss at about 268k. After diagnosis, it was a top end issue Due to finances, I put another 52k on it before replacing the engine with new, not rebuilt. When the tech pulled out the original motor, he found major top end issues. 2 cylinders with low (not 0) compression, one cam lobe had a nasty score on it, but it still ran like a champ on the highway for the last 52k. Kudos to Ford/Mazda for a bullet proof V6. When I finally had time to get it to Maurice's, Denin gave me 2 estimates. The new engine was almost $3,000.00 LESS than a rebuilt. No brainer. New engine comes with 3 year, 100,000k warranty. Rudy did a fantastic job on the swap, even did a couple extra minor repairs. ( I thought I had a clutch problem, but just a pilot bearing.) I've taken both our vehicles to Maurice's Auto Care since I found him. I have known him personally for over 40 years and his shop's work is beyond reproach. Thanks to Maurice, Rudy and all the staff for a low stress experience.

I'm a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic of 15 years but didn't have time to do the work needed so I took it to these guys as they claim to be "import specialists". I brought my Volkswagen TDI in to replace a clutch, dual mass flywheel and a RH lower ball joint. When I got the car back after the clutch repair I immediately noticed they changed the left hand ball joint; not the right hand one. The left and rights have different part numbers and are of a different geometry(they are not even interchangeable) When I started the car it had a service engine light on immediately that was not previously on. When I got back to my house I popped to hood to see DEF fluid spraying all over my engine bay. I quickly noticed that while doing the repairs on the clutch job they broke off the injector nozzle to my emissions system ($650 part from Volkswagen). I immediately went back into the shop the following day and voiced my concerns. They urged me to do an emissions delete rather than spending the money on replacing the injector nozzle. They admitted that the damaged injector was indeed their mistake and said they would do the necessary repairs to make it right. Three weeks later I picked up my car that was freshly deleted. However; they did NOT do anything to make it right. I was never credited with any sort of labour rate on the emissions delete for the damaged parts they broke while doing the clutch job and was charged for a ball joint installed on the wrong side that I later myself had to change the following day. I called Neil at Import Auto and got him to quote me for the same job. The quote he sent me to do the emissions delete was the same price as what Jason and his crew charged me. What started as a $1500 labour repair on a clutch job (I supplied the clutch) turned into an additional $2500 for a delete that I would never have had to do if they hadn't broke the injector. If I would have known they were going to charge me full price I would have just made them replace the $650 injector. I have left multiple emails with attached quotes from different shops asking for an explanation as to why with zero response. I can only imagine what this shop charges people that are not mechanically inclined. And I would be scared to see what a middle aged women's bill would be when she walks out. Extremely disappointing local shop. As an highly experienced mechanic; trust me, Do Not Go Here

The manager, Rob, took the time to explain everything to me (I'm clueless when it comes to vehicles), which was greatly appreciated! The staff make you feel well looked after and the attention to detail is what makes the experience special (even my dog got a treat). Although I only live a few blocks away, I would drive across the city for service like I experienced today.

To add insult to injury.....they broke the belly tray, tied it up with zip ties and then told my wife that they spotted an issue with the belly tray but they were kind enough to tie it up for her ! My dad is a mechanic! I've been around car and worked on cars all off my life! Mr lube is a joke.....run by chancers with staff that know nothing about the job they are doing! Considering legal action as the belly tray came loose on the highway and caused some issues.
