I initially brought my car to Canadian Tire and needless to say that was a huge mistake and a…read morenightmare for me personally; after 2 days, $500, 4 new spark plugs, and me being stranded on the highway (after them saying it was fixed), they still had no idea. Now to the good part...Idylwyld Auto Service/ Joanne and Steve. Not only were they able to get me in quickly, they were courteous, had great communication throughout and were soon were able to diagnose and fix the engine problem in less than 24 hours at a reasonable cost. Overall, Joanne and Steve are so amazing; once I got it to them my stress levels came way down. I'm definitely going back to them in the future if I have any other issues and I HIGHLY recommend them if you have car issues. They're honest, don't overcharge and very patient (as I was late picking up my car). Seriously. THE BEST!

would not recommend Lawson Auto Center. I originally had my…read moreshocks and struts replaced at Lawson Auto. Unfortunately, my experience there was not positive. When the shocks and struts began causing problems again, I chose not to return to Lawson Auto because of my previous experience. Instead, I took my vehicle to a shop I trust, where they diagnosed and repaired the issue. I then contacted Lawson Auto regarding the warranty on the Monroe parts. They have been very reluctant to honor the warranty for the defective parts, despite the issue being related to the parts themselves. In the end they only paid me $500 of the $700 for the warranty parts. In addition, I felt I was spoken down to and treated dismissively as a female customer from the owner. The overall interaction was unprofessional and disappointing.

Harvey (the owner) said they would get to it today and give me a call. Turned out to be a clogged heater core typically $600-$1,000 to replace. Harvey said he was willing to do a chemical clean and flush for $225.00 that had a 90% success rate but no guarantee. The flush did the job and the Equinox is pumping out more heat than ever before. Total bill $224.00. That is not the best part, the shop is normally open 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Harvey worked on my vehicle until 7:30 p.m. so that he would have it back to me same day as promised. Incredible service, great attitude, and lowest cost for that repair you could possibly find. A new customer for life!!

Ruben tired to fix my head gaskets and they blew the day i picked it up. Right after i drove about…read more100 meters from his shop the car began to over heat. He said they had forgotten to let the coolant settle.... so he sent a guy to fill it up.. very disappointing. Later that day the head gaskets blew! So after they blew he fixed the head gaskets again like any mechanic should, but now my engine's oil light flashes after the car is at running temp. I never had this issue before the head gaskets blew and he knows that, took it back in and told him about it and he never fixed it, told me it was good to drive... I had a bad experience.. if Ruben would like to get a better review he can fix my car
