We ordered pizzas, wings, sodas, and I added some tots. After the races, the food was set up in one of their rooms. The food was good bar food. We played some games. We shot pool. Overall fun experience and it went smoothly and the staff were very nice and accommodating. I did like having a break between the two spins around the track. It gave an opportunity for everyone to regroup and check how they did.

It is definitely on the pricier side, but in my opinion it's worth it--especially if you have EBT or WIC, since tickets are only $5 with those programs. My kids were especially obsessed with the little library area that has the climbing tree, as well as the school bus they can climb inside and play on. It was an instant hit. There are so many interactive spaces that keep kids engaged for hours. There's a soft play climbing area, a really cool jungle-style structure with little rooms to explore, and even a mud/clay pottery section that the kids loved getting messy in. They also really enjoyed the darker theater space where they could run around and go down a slide in the dark, as well as the big slide that goes from the top floor all the way down. The massive colorful netted climbing structure was another favorite--they could climb and explore for a long time without getting bored. One thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was some of the book selections in the library area. They felt a bit more on the extreme side rather than just classic kids' books, like why is there a baby activist book? They also have a little café and deli where you can grab coffee and small snacks, which is super convenient. You're allowed to bring your own lunch as well, and there are tables available to sit at, just not inside the main exhibit areas. The only real downside is parking, it's pretty limited, so you'll likely end up using paid parking nearby. On the plus side, there's a really fun and popular park right across the street, so it's easy to extend the day with a walk over there afterward. Overall, it's a super engaging museum that keeps kids entertained for hours, and we'll definitely be going back again.

All of the women I've interacted with in the art room have been so rude and unhelpful...especially the lady with the pixie haircut. Safety issues: There have been times upstairs where the Whammock display has had around 20 kids in it. Not an employee in sight to mitigate the chaos and allow a safe number of kids in at a time. There are also never any employees at the different displays to make sure that the recommended ages are the only ones using that attraction. Solely based on the price of tickets and the amount of donations that are received, I don't see where any funding is put back into the museum. The same tired displays have been in place for years. Also, there are never supplemental events that are hosted by the museum.
