But after hanging out closer to the airport side, we got spoiled with the smooth sand and no rocks. Condado Beach is full of rocks so running or working out is a challenge if you're into beach workouts. The beach is public however the resorts do a decent job of curtailing the public patrons. We stayed at Stellaris for the last leg of our trip and the resort gave out wrist bands to ensure employees knew were guest. It was easy to get lounge chairs as they would see us walking from the hotel and the wrist band was a quick give away. If you're a resort guest you'll get towels. Other people who were on lounge chairs with no towels had either paid for the chairs and/or were staying at the cheaper hotels behind the resort. In summation, although the location is live and busy, the beach is not the best on the island but it does the job. Would likely not stay in the area again as this beach wasn't the most beautiful on the trip. When you come to an island, the beach is the most important part and should be the most beautiful place you are.

Seven Seas Beach was one of those for me. Coming from the mainland, it almost felt unfair how naturally beautiful this place was--clear water, palm trees, soft sand, and mountain scenery all blending together into one peaceful view. AMBIANCE Parking: There's a parking lot but there's parking on the road. I'd probably prefer parking on the road if you're going to leave as the beach closes (the line can get long) Seating: Plenty! Whether it's in the main beach or the hidden beach you got a lot of choices. Vibes: The area is a more calmer side of Puerto Rico. Fishing-town environment with local bars, seafood spots, and opportunities for bio tours. The main beach is really nice with with turquoise water, green palms, and views toward the surrounding landscape. There are a few kiosks setup if you do want to grab some food. If you're up for an adventure, coming from the main entrance, you go through a forest (enjoy the sights and sounds, like the coquis) for a good 30 minutes you can enjoy "playa escondido" a beautiful secluded beach with the common calm, shallow, and crystal clear waters but less human traffic and a better view of sunset. TL;DR OVERALL 5 Stars. B-E-A-utiful! I'm glad to have stumbled across this spot. My only wish was that I was there longer to enjoy and take it all in. Beautiful scenery, calm waters, relaxing atmosphere, and enough nearby activity without ruining the natural vibe. Lovely visit the the El Yunque National Forest while staying in nearby San Juan…read more About a 45-minute drive from San Juan. No fee to enter the national forest...only an $8 fee when visiting El Portal Visitor's Center, which I recommend. I followed other visitor's recommendations by getting there when the forest opened and going directly toward the end to Mount Britton. I was luckily able to get one of those few designated roadside parking spaces. I finished the Mount Britton Tower (Torre) in about two hours (45-minute, 0.8-mile walk/hike each way) before making my way back toward the entrance stopping at the other attractions along the way. Note that it is about a 25-minute drive from the park's entrance to Mount Britton Trailside parking...due to the speed restrictions given the sharps turns and hills. As most others have said...the forest main road (191) goes one way through the forest, and loops back around towards the exit. Along the way, there are lots of stops...just look for the parking lots of roadside parking spaces and you will know you are close to an attraction. I ended the trip with visiting the El Portal Visitor's Center...at around 3:30pm...and it was very empty. I do suggest working the Luquillo Kiosks into the trip...given it is about a 15-minute drive away from the forest.

From El Portal Visitor Center, a walkway winds through the surrounding treetops. Trails run to La Mina waterfall and Mount Britton, then up to the high-altitude dwarf forest. In the south are ancient petroglyphs, made by the area's indigenous Taíno people. The forest comes alive with the nightly calls of coquí tree frogs. I def recommend using water shoes, I decided to wear leggings and a sports bar with a t-shirt over . You are climbing and jumping and swimming and low key fighting for your life!! FYI: The Piña Coladas they sell here are very expensive and low in alcohol compared to most places on the island but it is nice to have one in a pineapple while enjoying the beach and water. BTW: bring everything you need to enjoy a nice day here because it's one of the most amazing spots on the island and if you leave you'll lose your spot. I miss you Puerto Rico!!! The bathrooms/showers were a huge plus and felt very authentic to the area and experience. Lots of shade and beautiful breeze too. I came around 10am on a Sunday and the crowd was very small.
