This is new and I will not shop there ever again. What good are gas points when you can not use them without tying up $150? The corporate office put me on hold for a supervisor then hung up. I planned on getting gas, groceries and coming home to prepare for my dinner guests. Now I have to wait until they decide to unfreeze my funds. My bank assured me this is Harris Teeter policy but the person at corporate said it is my banks policy. The associate at my bank took the trouble of telling me which stations do not put a hold on MY MONEY so Harris Teeter corporate lies. Thier employee told me "Well, that's what they told us to say". before she put me on hold and hung up. I called back of course and they assure me a suoervisor will be calling me back . Not holding my breath. Bad business practieces!

It has a restroom and attendants to assist with purchases of snacks. This has been my go to place to get gas for a while. It's never too crowded and they usually don't run out of gas. As a rewards member, I got $.05 off. Upside had an offer for $0.11 cent cash back. Due to the $0.05 off, I'll only get $0.06 cash back per gallon. I ended up getting about 12 gallons of gas. The pump were fine and worked as it supposed to. I went inside after pumping gas just to check it out. They have majority of the typically gas station items but it was small inside. I didn't see a public restroom. Also, it smelled weird inside.. kinda like a wet dog. I thought that was odd.

This one is ran like they used to be- even down to the owner coming out to pump gas in between answering the phone and working on cars. He tends to handle the routine maintenance appointments and inspections while his associate takes care of more involved jobs. It has given me peace of mind to know that if my car needed repair, I can count on these guys to give me honest and solid recommendations either within their business or other local businesses they trust. With many auto shops taking advantage of people these days, it really means a lot to find one you can trust. As I've mentioned, this is a two man operation so appointments are necessary and hours are a bit more limited than the chain locations. It is worth the effort, though. Mike is always quick to answer the phone and pencil you in as soon as the schedule allows. Most of the time within the same week. His prices are very reasonable and he gets you in and out quick. He has oil changes timed so perfectly, one time I was able to set a timer on my phone for the time he said it would take and run across the street to grab a coffee at the cafe that was once in the yellow house. As I was making my way back across, I see my car backing out of the garage just as my timer went off! It can be a tight squeeze for me to work in an oil change on my lunch break but knowing I can count on the appointment time, I am able to make it work. Long story short, if you're looking for a service station in the Jamestown area that you can trust to offer reliable service at a good price, Mike's is the place to go.
