Morrisville Market Shopping Center - Walmart Neighborhood Market (grocery only with adjacent pharmacy) located in shopping center, June 2025.

For me, the standouts are the local restaurants but they have opportunities for groceries, haircuts, chain restaurants, local pharmacy/compounding among other shops and services. Decent amount of traffic here but not chaotic. The Deets: Being near Morrisville Market Shopping Center (MMSC), it is a "go-to" destination for me. Mainly, I am a fan of MMSC because they have a lot of restaurants such as locally run businesses Georgina's (a personal favorite for Italian, if you know me), Kinoko, Pho 919 as well as many chains such as Smithfield's Chicken 'N BBQ, Dunkin/Baskin, McDonalds just to name a few at the time of this writing. It also contains many other shops and service providers (a locally run pharmacy/compounding shop and an AutoZone come to mind). From Indian grocery store to haircuts and many other things to offer, it's a pretty well balanced shopping stop for Morrisville but not a large one so it's less chaotic than most shopping areas. I was not pleased when it put in a Walmart Neighborhood Market here a few years ago, replacing the huge hardware store it had in the space originally. I fully realize that most shopping centers need a good "anchor store" and a Walmart grocery would serve that purpose, but honestly I liked having a very large and well stocked hardware store near me instead. For me, I'd rather go to one of the other grocery stores near me such as Wegmans, Publix, Harris Teeter, Food Lion, etc. unless I needed to hit this Walmart grocery store for sheer convenience only. But it does get the traffic into MMSC so I guess that's doing the trick for the other businesses there. In all, besides losing out on a great hardware store they had before, I like MMSC mainly for the restaurant offerings, convenience, diverse services, and smaller size...I am a fan.

My wife knows it best for Nordstrom Rack and Ulta. Renaissance *Village* is the shopping center with Target, Chick-fil-A, and Crumbl Cookies (our top three most-visited businesses there). My wife has also gone to Village for HomeGoods and I've gone for Harvest 18 (restaurant). We visit Renaissance Village way more than Renaissance Center for Target and Chick-fil-A alone. Both shopping centers are pretty standard. They're filled with chains and big-box stores. Here are some reviews I've left for individual businesses at Renaissance Center so far: 1. Best Buy https://www.yelp.com/biz/best-buy-durham-southpoint-durham 2. Moe's Southwest Grill https://www.yelp.com/biz/moes-southwest-grill-durham 3. REI Co-op https://www.yelp.com/biz/rei-durham 4. Ulta Beauty https://www.yelp.com/biz/ulta-beauty-durham Personally, aside from REI, I don't see a big reason to come here. But overall, this place is fine. It's a typical suburban shopping center. Active and busy too. I wrote this review because I noticed Renaissance Center had a Yelp page. Renaissance Village doesn't have one at the time of writing this. Maybe if I get bored, I'll create a listing for Village. Renaissance Center is located just off I-40 exit 276: Fayetteville Road, Southpoint, NC Central University. Same exit as Southpoint mall.

My favorite places to visit in the Commons are: Total Wines, The Beer Garden, BJ's, Sephora, Target, TJ Maxx, European Wax Center, Dick's, Massage Envy & Bar Louie. Bar Louie makes the best martinis. The Clover is one of my favorite cocktails. I am a regular at The Commons. The plethora of shoppes and dining makes it a convenient one stop shop location. Yesterday was my second year attending the Star Spangled Block Party for the 4th of July. This is a wonderful free event for all people to enjoy. Bring a chair, participate in the festivities and people watch. My mom is 70 and enjoyed the community gathering. Despite how crowded it can get with many in attendance it is a very organized annual event that hope continues. I love to see everyone dress up and this is a safe community to gather in where all are welcome. The cons here include how busy traffic can pile up, parking is scarce on a normal day and how dated the Regal Cinemas is. This area is deserving of a luxury movie theater.

Big retailers and smaller businesses as well as many services can be found here. Plenty of parking. The Morrisville Smart Shuttle stops here if not driving. Pretty large in size but not too big to explore. The Deets: Park West Village has been around for a few years here in Morrisville and is a vast sprawling complex, located in the area between Morrisville Parkway and Cary Parkway along Chapel Hill Rd. Within its many roundabout traffic circle-accessible areas and multiple buildings, one can find many good restaurants & eateries, large retailers (Target, TJ Maxx, PetSmart, Bath & Body Works, Trader Joe's, multiple others), banking institutions, electronic/gaming shops, craft shops, phone stores, health & beauty stops, home furnishing stores, and other places to shop. It also has residential as well as retail spaces, even a movie theater. If it would be any bigger it would be a challenge to walk around but I think it just hit the sweet spot between having multiple good shopping/services that's walkable and being too big to get around. The Morrisville Smart Shuttle (town provided free transportation service) even has stops there if you don't feel like battling traffic or parking, but they do provide plenty of parking if you do drive. I like this shopping center for what it offers and accessibility, I'm here frequently because of it.

Park West Village features a unique mix of national retailers, contemporary brands, and distinctive shops and dining. It literally has everything for you, whether you live there or not - all kinds of apparel, crafts, eateries, education, electronics, fitness, general merchandise, health and beauty, home furnishings, pet supplies, services, shoes, specialty, sporting goods stores, etc. I want to walk into every store! For example Piada Italian Street Food is one restaurant that caught my eye tonight - if I hadn't already eaten dinner I would have liked to try one of their unique piadas that they hand-roll in front of you, or one of their salad or pasta bowls. As a shopping area, Park West Village is a lively, great place to hang out, take a stroll, and/or socialize with family and friends or visit on your own! The plaza looks shiny new and modern and is very clean and well-maintained. As a residential area, each of its THREE different neighborhoods is also loaded with the nicest amenities. They have, for example, swimming pools and brand new playgrounds! They all look so modern shiny and new and enjoyable to live in. Park West Village really is a lifestyle! In addition, Park West Village hosts events every day - they often have live music and good food at Open Mic Nights or at Acoustic Nights on Fridays - it can get very lively there! They also have an upcoming fall festival as well as Winter Wonderland. There are so many activities and things to see, buy, eat, explore at Park West Village - I would definitely recommend enjoying quality time there!!!

Workers are nice though! If you're looking for something more specific, one of the employees said that they can write down what you're looking for and your phone number and they can be on the lookout for that item and can contact you if it comes in. That's nice that they can do that, but you're relying on them to follow-through on some unicorn pieces. Also, we were looking for four matching chairs, they had two of them and there's no guarantee we would find the other two. It wasn't a risk I wanted to take. As for the pricing- it's still pricey. It's not like you're saving a ton of money, but you're still saving some. Overall, the visit was "meh".
