John and Sebastian were so helpful. They were very pleasant and had the pickup truck ready earlier than scheduled. The truck was full of gas, very clean, and they allowed me to leave my car parked in the lot. They also have funny signs in the bathroom for guests and it made me laugh! My issue is, which I did not knock the rating down for because this is not John and Sebastian but really a U-Haul rule, is that you cannot tow with the pickup truck. There is a tow hitch, but a lock on it. I did not notice the lock until I got back to the house with the pickup truck. I called John and he was super nice explaining that you cannot tow with the Uhaul pickup unless it is a uhaul trailer. I do feel this is misleading on the website when you rent the pickup because it states that there are tow hitches on all pickup trucks...so one would assume you could tow with it- responsibly of course! I understand there are weight limits with towing and I would be responsible. This was just super frustrating because when all was said and done it was 130.00 for a rental that I could not use. I gave notice to this place back in February that I was moving, and would be moving my things out of storage. I gave plenty of notice of my intention to vacate, and moved out prior to the end of the month. I was charged for the storage unit back in March. I addressed this issue then. Nothing has occurred with being reimbursed. Fast forward to April, I am charged for a storage fee again (Now the total is up to $123.50 owed back to me). I call, they verified that I had moved out, and received an apology and a promise that I would be contacted by the manager, and that they would return my money. Well here we are in May, and I was charged this evening for the storage unit again. That brings the total to $185.25 owed back to me. I called them again and left a heated voicemail demanding that this situation be resolved by Friday. Above is my initial post from earlier this month. I am proud to announce I have an update to my situation. My situation has been resolved, and I received full reimbursement. I would like to say thank you to Mr. Richard Graham (the owner) for personally looking into and addressing this issue. If you could enter an amount of stars below zero, I would do so. The manager here is not only deceitful but also abusive to customers. Mike has no intention of treating customers fairly. They lie, they are unhelpful and they misrepresent U-Haul policies on a daily basis. After being sold equipment that was incorrect, Mike admitted they did not know it was the wrong item. Problem number one: they do not understand their own products. When you attempt to return an item they admit is wrong, Mike refuses to do so and lies. Problem number two: Lies and states that U-Haul policy is to never accept returns, that is a lie I verified with a real U-Haul shop. I was there TODAY and witnessed Mike the manager YELLING at a woman who they bamboozled with the wrong product and refused to allow her to return. Problem number three: Abusive man who takes advantage of women. Avoid going here at all costs, as you can see from Brent B's experience, these guys are crooks and lie (no security cameras, SERIOUSLY? You are either lying about that OR you have such a horrible business that you accept people's possessions and don't even do the bare minimum to protect them). Brent's issue was from July 2017 and the one I saw today was also July 2017. Maybe they used to be good, or maybe they write fake reviews, but as of right now, they are AWFUL. read more

Park side helped me with my Uhaul and storage needs. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Mike and Mike went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed and a good experience. Someone even helped me unload my TV that I couldn't lift myself. I felt like the terms were reasonable and well explained, my things were safe and all of my interactions were positive. I had a uhaul reservation with Parkside and I'm pleased to report that it went very well. John the owner was there to offer customer support even though it was a "mobile check-in/pick-up". I'm so glad because he made it so quick and easy for us. I had been struggling to get the app to work correctly and was beginning to feel frustrated. John made himself available for the traditional pick-up/paperwork method and saved the day. I will definitely book a uhaul here again, and if I'm in the need for storage in the future I would like to support this business. read more

-Would that I could give them a lower rating... where do I even begin? I travelled from Ohio to Colorado Springs with my pop-up camper in tow. As the sun set, I realized that the lights on my camper were no longer working. I pulled over for the night, and the next day, when I pulled into the Springs, I set out to find out what was wrong with the camper lights... after weeks of having mechanics look at, and rewire my car, we realized that the problem must be somewhere within the wirings of my camper. At this point, however, I had no time left, and very limited funds. I needed to return to Ohio, and decided that I just needed a temporary fix to get me home. It was recommended to me that I purchase some temporary magnetic lights. Enter Parkside Storage. I called around to various Uhaul establishments that came up on Google for "Uhaul near me," and I spoke with Mike at Parkside. I was very specific when speaking to him, and told him that I needed temporary lights that I could attach magnetically. I said that I just needed something to get me back to Ohio. He was an nice and as enthusiastic as he could be, and told me that not only did they have exactly what I needed, but that they only had one set left. I asked him if I needed to bring my camper with me to have them install them, and was reassured that I didn't. He told me that they were super easy to install, and had a step by step guide. Encouraged, I asked him to set them aside, and said that I would be right over to get them. When I arrived there, they were extremely jovial, and even flirtatious, commenting that one of the guys who worked there was single. -A little inappropriate, but not a big deal. They had the lights, and once again assured me that they were exactly what I needed. I verified with them that they were magnetized, and simple to use, to which they said, "yes." Then, they were having trouble with their printer, and asked if I really needed a receipt. Upon looking at the sticker price of $55, and the final price of $60, I said, "yes. This is a larger purchase, so I will definitely need a receipt." They managed to get their printer working, and gave me a receipt. Off I went with my new, magnetized, simple to install, temporary lighting system for my pop-up camper. -Or so I thought. I got home, and took them out of the box. There was nothing magnetic about them that I could see, and there were tons of wires. I looked at the instructions, and they were very confusing, complete with "wiring diagrams," and instructions for "short trailer harness" and "long trailer harness." There were instructions to "solder and heat-shrink all connections to seal out moisture," and to "check grounds," etc. I had absolutely no idea what I was looking at. I had a mechanic look at the lights, and he explained that first of all, these were lights for a boat trailer, and second of all, that they had to be spliced and wired in. They needed to be done by someone who knew about the electronics of towing vehicles and cars. He said that they could be used for my camper, but it would involve rewiring my entire camper, drilling holes into it, and it would not be a temporary fix. -Not to mention the cost. I was unbelievably overwhelmed and frustrated. The mechanic directed me to an Auto Zone where I could actually purchase a temporary magnetic lighting system for my camper. That took less than 15 minutes to hook up, and was truly simple. Meanwhile, I had now lost an entire travel day for my return to Ohio. Appointments needed to be rescheduled, and my nerves were completely frazzled. I decided that I would make the best of it, and return to Parkside Storage when they opened, and return the first set of lights. That $60 would definitely help in terms of expenses that I would subsequently incur on my way back to Ohio. I arrived at Parkside Storage before they opened at 9am, and there was already a line. I had already made my peace with staying another day, so I perused my phone while I waited. Once it was my turn, I went up to Mike with a smile on my face. He smiled back and as he eyed the lights and the receipt in my hand, stated, "we don't take returns." -I was taken aback. I knew that he recognized me, and I stated that I had called them, and asked very specifically for a magnetized temporary lighting system for my pop-up camper in order to make it back to Ohio, and that was not what they sold me. He said that he realized that, but that there was nothing that he could do. Apparently it is store policy that they don't take returns of any kind. I asked to speak with a manager, and he said that he was the manager. I pointed out that if he was the manager, and he knew that the mistake was theirs, that they sold me a piece of equipment that wasn't what I needed or asked for, that certainly he COULD give me a refund. WORST STORAGE FACILITY!!! I could give zero stars I would!!! I had 2 motorcycles stolen out of my unit. They claim to have 24 hour surveillance, but somehow my motorcycles walked out undetected?!? It even came to a point where they accused me of stealing my own motorcycles and trying to get one over on them..? I was told by police that they have frequent issues with this storage facility. I believe it was an inside job, John, Hank, and any of the managers shouldn't be trusted. I would advise anybody and everybody to remove yourself from the facility before you are a victim of theft!!! read more

My trailer was stolen from this storage facility. I was told from the manager that the security cameras weren't working and that they thought it could be an inside job. The manager also told me that another customer had their trailer and jet skis stolen. I never received a call from the owner, or an apology. Extremely disappointed with this business. read more

This place is the best. Mike was extremely helpful with our move this year as well as last year. Knew all the options and is very customer oriented. Unfortunately, the system doesn't give him credit for the rental since we had to pick up the truck at a different location. read more
