Which resulted in many times not having a clue that I've cut myself, until I see the blood. Roughly 2 yrs. before I started seeing Dr. Welch, I had a bad accident with a incline table. The safety strap broke. I was upside down (all measurements) for centrical balance GONE. My feet slide out from the ankle grips, and to the floor I went. End result, landed on my head, severely tweaking my neck. " Fractured colar bone, 2 broken ribs close to the spine, bruised right lung". Went for physical therapy for over a year, it helped, but nowhere near what I received from Dr. Welch, he's been able to adjust my neck old school style, for which most Dr.'s would not. Manly because, the "Patient" will not relax properly, and stay that way for that style. The office is very pleasant and well located. The staff from walking in, receiving service, then leaving, seems exceptional, and professional. I am glad, that I never went to the appointment that I had for accupressure.

After my spinal fusion I was nervous to see a chiropractor, but I knew I really needed it and I'm so glad I went to Back Alley! * In the first visit, Dr. Don takes you to a separate private room to discuss your issues and needs without other clients overhearing. As a woman, I tend to be nervous to be alone in rooms with men I don't know, but Dr. Don was SO professional, and he left the door open as if he sensed my nervousness. He really hears you out and doesn't rush you - a rarity in the medical world * He works FAST and tells you what he's doing before/while he does it. He even tells you WHY he's doing what he's doing, which is cool for anyone interested in physiology. * Dr. Don chats with you and actually remembers the things you tell him. You can tell he's invested in his patients' lives and knows them well. * The place is clean and the receptionists are friendly. I thought the set-up was a little wonky at first, since it's one big open room with the chiropractic tables and I'm used to being in private rooms. I actually like and prefer this set-up. Something about it feels friendly. * Wait time is never too long, and you get in and out fairly quickly, even without an appointment.

Not to mention, his bedside manner is so friendly. If I don't come in for months on end, he still remembers me in a very personable way. He is so sweet and so is the co-owner/doctor... (Dr. Shipley) who is also amazing. Once I was walking and I slipped off the curb. The next day my back was totally out to where I could barely walk. Dr. Don was on vacation, so Dr. Shipley saw me and did something I never had done before. The result: I was totally fixed. So to sum up, both of these guys would be a good choice if you're needing some adjustment. Finally, one last note, they did move their office from near Costco on the north side of town, to the Oro Valley location. Since they moved in there, they do have an adjustment and that is shared with about eight other people. At first I didn't care for this, but since they are the only two in town that can get me back on track and in shape, I have adjusted to it :-).

I don't know what is going on here but about a year ago new management (or owners?) took over all…read moreof the chiropractors seem to have left all at once or at least in a short time of each other. I had been a client of Dr. Jenkins there for a long time and they treated me like I had never been there before and had to complete all new paperwork. After going through all of that redundant bureaucracy, they said it would be about a 4 hour wait! There were 5 people there and most of the time they spend 15 minutes or less each. Today, I twisted my back and went in again. They told me I had to fill out all new paperwork again and would every 6 months and they really didn't have time to do that before their lunch break which was about a half hour away. I was the only client in the waiting area. I checked with the Arizona Chiropractic board and there is no requirement to take new paperwork every 6 months. They only say chiropractors must maintain current information. Other doctors only ask you if anything has changed and to update if there is new information. As I indicated, there appears to have been a new management change a year or so ago and all new doctors. Now it appears to have happened again...at least I do not recognize any of the names on their website. The last doctor I went to there a few months ago is not listed at all. I don't know if any of the current doctors are any good because I have not been able to "walk-in" (which is their claim to fame) and see one without getting trapped in the red tape and indifference.
