After my spinal fusion I was nervous to see a chiropractor, but I knew I really needed it and I'm so glad I went to Back Alley! * In the first visit, Dr. Don takes you to a separate private room to discuss your issues and needs without other clients overhearing. As a woman, I tend to be nervous to be alone in rooms with men I don't know, but Dr. Don was SO professional, and he left the door open as if he sensed my nervousness. He really hears you out and doesn't rush you - a rarity in the medical world * He works FAST and tells you what he's doing before/while he does it. He even tells you WHY he's doing what he's doing, which is cool for anyone interested in physiology. * Dr. Don chats with you and actually remembers the things you tell him. You can tell he's invested in his patients' lives and knows them well. * The place is clean and the receptionists are friendly. I thought the set-up was a little wonky at first, since it's one big open room with the chiropractic tables and I'm used to being in private rooms. I actually like and prefer this set-up. Something about it feels friendly. * Wait time is never too long, and you get in and out fairly quickly, even without an appointment.

(Dr. Shipley) who is also amazing. Once I was walking and I slipped off the curb. The next day my back was totally out to where I could barely walk. Dr. Don was on vacation, so Dr. Shipley saw me and did something I never had done before. The result: I was totally fixed. So to sum up, both of these guys would be a good choice if you're needing some adjustment. Finally, one last note, they did move their office from near Costco on the north side of town, to the Oro Valley location. Since they moved in there, they do have an adjustment and that is shared with about eight other people. At first I didn't care for this, but since they are the only two in town that can get me back on track and in shape, I have adjusted to it :-).

She explained everything she was doing and used a variety of techniques to get optimum effect. I felt so much better when I left and am grateful for her care. She spent a lot of time working on me. One of the best chiropractors I have ever seen. The clinic is a little hard to find as it is behind a golf cart company, but seek and you will find.

The ManFolk has health issues that cause him regular pain. The Joint offers a membership that allows him weekly visits. I think that the monthly charge is $79? Ask for the military discount! I have occasional issues so I just pay $45 per adjustment. I've been having some pains lately so I will probably upgrade to the membership too. They have discounts if you pay for a six pack up front too. New patients get a $29 initial visit ($19 for those who have served). The doctors rotate and we have been very happy with each one. If you prefer one doc over the other, you can wait for your favorite. It's a clean, modern facility and the staff is nice. I'm a fan!
