Drove down the street and found this gem. It is $7 daily. We weren't given a ticket after entering and when we went to the pay station, the expiration time was one minute after the pay time. So, I guess you just pay when you leave and it isn't necessary to put anything in the window? I am still confused. But the important thing is that we didn't incur any fines the next day when we left at 9AM lol. Obviously you should go get everything you need before parking. Don't be stupid like us and get stuck in downtown with no room service and only a rice krispy treat to share between two people. TIP: In case you forget where you parked the night before, the entrance to the garage is across from the Majestic Theatre.

A lot of times these conventions are set up so that the hundreds of attendees are packed in an unsafe manner. I'm glad this wasn't the case. It's a modern and clean convention center. The bathrooms were incredibly clean considering all of the foot traffic. Lots of knowledgeable employees who helped make the visit a good experience.

The computer had me swipe my c/c and below is the receipt. Those behind me were as startled as I was! I understand "buyer beware ", and I'm sure there was probably cheaper parking close by, so lesson learned. I just want to make others aware that may fall into the same trap.

After midnight, between 12:30 AM and 3:00 AM, we were literally imprisoned inside the garage with no way to exit. No staff, no help button, no phone number, NOTHING. Despite the posted rate being $16 for 2 hours, we were illegitimately charged a full-day parking fee because we were forced to stay inside against our will. That is beyond unacceptable -- it feels like theft. This place is dangerous, poorly designed, and completely mismanaged. No restroom, no emergency plan, no accountability. DO NOT PARK HERE. EVER. Save yourself the stress, time, and money.

We were fortunate there was no cloud cover! You could see for miles from the Ball's point of view at 470 feet up. The Reunion Tower itself is a 561 ft observation tower in Dallas, and one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. We spent about 30 min checking out the views and eventually made our way back down the elevator. Overall, it was a nice experience! But for the price we paid, I did expect a bit more! The Tower looked like a lollipop and was only 20 mins walk from our hotel. At one point we found ourselves on the train tracks and could see the Tower but couldn't quite see how to get there as there was no signage or directions. Eventually, we had to walk around and go under a bridge to get to the other side and walked towards the Tower. Even the entrance had no signage. It did have the name of the restaurant Crown Block and also Hyatt Hotel but nothing about the Tower. Anyway, we walked in and went downstairs. Tickets were $19 and can be bought from the kiosks. As we walked to the line, you get to have your photo taken with a green screen. There are props you can use on the right counter if needed. In the elevator you can see outside as you are going up. I just wished the glass was facing the city instead of Trinity river and the two Margaret sister bridges. You can see all the freeways overlapping like spaghetti. At the top, there is a little area with a few tables and chairs. I guess you can bring a lunch or snack whilst enjoying the views. The restrooms are really clean up there. Outside, there are telescopes available and info about the skyline. However, it was awfully windy and cold in January. The staff were really friendly and helpful with any questions you have. We found out the photos taken earlier, could be viewed at the kiosks by scanning the barcode on your ticket. They email the photos to you for free or you can buy a physical copy from them. Overall, it was a nice visit. Have to say, there were hardly any people around. I guess it was off peak tourist season, so it was nice not having the crowds and long lines.

This felt like the Portland of Dallas…read more Since everyone else is going to talk about the funky, eclectic, communal and hippie vibe, and the 60 independent businesses, I will mention some history: 1. The neighborhood was nicknamed "The Devil's Back Porch" back in the 1920s. I hope that was not a reference to his butt. 2. This was one of the busiest streetcar stops in all of Dallas in the 1930s, which is the reason the shops are close together. 3. The restaurant Paradiso is L shaped because it was built around century-old trees. 4. Bonnie (of Bonnie and Clyde) worked as a waitress in this area before her crime spree began. Rumor has it she needed money to afford the $8 slices of pie at Emporium Pies. Only three things sucked: 1) Parking is difficult on weekends. 2) Cops are everywhere, so don't jaywalk. 3) The people with clipboards asking you to donate to blue whale abortions or whatever are aggressive.

There was live music, food trucks and plenty of vendors. They had a couple of older model cars on display which was cool. When we entered the bazaar there was a lady there to welcome us to the event which was nice. I enjoyed a refreshing drink at a food truck and got street style tacos from another vendor. The live music was upbeat and complimented the event. We were able to walk around and explore a majority of the vendors. I ended up buying a couple of things from the vendor. The bishop arts bazaar occurs in the fall once a month on Sunday. Attending the bazaar was a lovely way to spend the Sunday afternoon.
