I started to receive texts from Kirsten. I talked with her via the phone. She was rude and impersonable during the so-called interviewed. She was rude and read to me. Excuse me I am an adult. Nothing conversational about it. Nothing relational. She then sent me an email immediately after this unprofessional screen. What a surprise! She was nice. My resume would be forwarded and reviewed by Parker's client. That was fine. After stringing me along, she texted, left a voicemail and emailed me. I was at an appointment. I turn my phone off so I can listen to others without distraction during appointments, etc. I let her know to only call or email. Overkill. I returned her call. Quite demanding, entitled and self-serving. Jump ahead because I do not have time to write everything out. She lied to me twice. So, I decided to decline the Zoom interview with the client and I texted her since she appeared to like texting. I declined the interview and I blocked her. In a matter of seconds, she called me from another phone number and what overly nice - not authentic. Kirsten, who do you think you really are. She talked over me wanting to know why I declined and what company I planned to go to. She continued. I finally raised my voice and talked over her. I don't owe a liar anything. Why would I tell you what or where I am going? So, you can benefit from my work? I can help you. No way! An awful technique. She kept talking over me so I swore. I am not proud of it. Parker your need to build relationships, not steamroll people, who your representee reached out via text as a marketing tool. I asked Parker to remove me from your files previously when Kyle worked with you. It was disorganized. Remove me! I have contacted numerous HR professionals and let them know of my experience with Kirsten. Kirsten, you have received too many Participation Trophies. Get over yourself. read more

I just started as a regular, for real employee at the company where Parker placed me! Awesome place, incredible benefits, & great co-workers. It's truly a career & not a job. I can retire from this position & I will be forever grateful to Parker for the placement. Why I'm bumping them a star, even though I'm very positive about my experience with Parker & will continue to recommend them to everyone, is they never checked on me after they placed me. Never asked how I was doing, not even in the very beginning. As far as I know, never pushed for me to be hired, and what is rather insulting is they never congratulated me on being hired. Being hired was a pretty big deal. They were very responsive to any questions I had & are great people to work with, but this lack of concern was disturbing & insulting. read more

From 5 stars to 1 star Two years ago, I'd have given Parker 5 stars for placing me in a temp to hire position I loved. From the original interview to the placement, everything was top drawer. At that time, the outfit really seemed to care. I was taken on staff and everything went swimmingly...till the office moved to Renton, far too long a commute. Long story short: I baled and took what I intended to be a short-term stint in a grocery store while I rallied and planned my next move. The short-term stint went on lasting about two years, during which I fine-tuned my customer service and team play skills, also taking online courses to better my chances of finding something in medical records data entry, my previous position. I racked up a couple of certificates, redid my resume and contacted Parker. In the months since then, I was sent out on just one interview, though I've redone my resume again, highlighting my skills: office, data entry, typing speed of approx. 65 wpm, call center experience (anything but sales, I said), good references, and the certificates I mentioned. Nothing times nothing. I was not allowed to come to the office for another interview, hoping to learn what else I could do to better my chances. The new website was useless for me, since the few jobs of interest were very short term only, not worth quitting a full-time position without assurance of reasonably steady work. I've done temp work in the past, in different cities for other agencies. I've never experienced anything like this level of disinterest. I'll keep hunting on my own. read more

Came here for an interview back in August '12 with Kelli. Kelli handed me off to another recruiter, which was odd since I had been contacted by Kelli ever since I submitted an application. Then came the interview, where the recruiter asked about my experience and skills and then asked if I was even sure about my choice in what I want to do. She ended up signing me up for myneeds.com and told me they would contact me for an interview. The people were nice at the front desk but they didn't even contact me back...ever. Not a single phone call or email. But I did get a newsletter type email from them...today. Thanks for reminding me about how thorough you guys are! Great job. They were great with securing me temp positions when I suddenly found myself out of work a few years ago. I did a week-long convention gig that paid pretty well for what was required of us. They get bonus points for having direct deposit for paychecks (unlike another temp agency). They didn't do a lot of temp-perm or placement work for me, but the steady work was good. Even when I had started a permanent job and stopped checking in for several months, they had kept me on file and called me for a short gig since I had experience doing it before. It was nice that they remembered me and my work. Plus the extra money was very much appreciated. They're definitely on my short list of places to call if I ever become out of work. read more

Right after I moved to Seattle, I submitted an application to several staffing firms in hopes of getting a job. Although I did not take anything that was offered to me from any staffing firm, I found Parker to be exceptional! I met with Gayle for my interview and found her to be extremely sweet and great! What truly set her apart from my other staffing firm experiences is that she really got to know me professionally through engaging in cheerful conversation and making me feel comfortable (rather than a straight question and answer interview that never veered away from the format). When Gayle and Rachel (who is also really sweet) thought there would be a potential match with an organization, I felt like they went above and beyond to get me prepared and comfortable for the interview along with knowing some "interview tricks" for that organization. Although I turned down the second round interview for that position, everyone with whom I interacted left a great taste in my mouth. Parker Staffing Services blacklists former employees, especially those who notify its office of toxic environments while on assignment. Honesty is usually the best policy, especially when listing professional experience on a resume. However, it's best to leave off Parker Staffing Services from the experience area. When companies check out work experience and call the agency, someone will provide negative information to the prospective employer by stating the person is ineligible for rehire or a simple non-recommendation. Parker Staffing Services was by far the most professional, helpful, and dedicated agency that I had the pleasure of working with. My interviewing skills and technical skills were assessed, and this is not a service provided by the other agencies I worked with. Pretty terrible support by the staff. I wouldn't really recommend using this agency. Please find another who cares about you. I communicated things going on with one of the recruiters I believe Janis and now all of a sudden - I'm at fault and being called all sorts of things. Even though my communication is solid and documented in both email and text form. I was never given any of the things promised (employer feedback) and sat in silence. Sad really. read more

I was unemployed for almost two years when Jeanette with Parker staffing called me on the observed New Year's Day Holiday. I couldn't believe she was calling me on a Holiday to set up a phone interview. The job as she described it sounded too good to be true! The next day I had a phone interview and had to complete some online testing on programs related to the position. The following day, I met with Jeanette in person. I scored high on all of my testing and passed the appearance test; so the next day I met with my now boss! Needless to say it's been the hardest, yet best 20 months of my life. I am financially stable and can spend time with my friends & family all thanks to Parker Staffing. I have worked for sleezy staffing companies in the past; but these guys are as good as it gets! Krystal met with me and said straight up that they weren't going to bother with my skills testing, and that they could not place me anywhere because I'm far beyond what they staff for. Bear in mind that I type over 100 words a minute, know every piece of software on the market, and have been recently testing 100% across the board, and they could make money off me. They turned away a candidate with transferable skills and refused to talk about it afterwards. Heard back from the company's director and I can appreciate that this company aims to match the perfect candidate to the perfect job. But this is an ever-evolving industry. The "one way to do things" approach is about as dead as disco and nobody understands that point better than your own candidates. I would be less critical if I had been saved the time, trouble and expense in having to present myself to a company that never intended to place me at all. Krystal and I spoke over the phone with tremendous enthusiasm about what kind of experience I had, what my skill sets are, and what I wanted...which was to get working full time. Period. Of course, I would prefer to remain in the legal field because I excel there, but Krystal knows that is not what I was seeking. I did not approach Parker with the notion that they would ever find me a legal support job. But I did expect to be impressed with a modicum of effort and human resource acumen and at least be considered for any job that required the same quantifiable battery of skills and experience to be able to fulfill even a temp contract position. I can also appreciate that clients can be very specific about their requirements. A modern staffing company of today would develop trust and confidence in their clients because they can deliver...or they could get better clients. Parker has done little but waste my time and erode my confidence in staffing agencies. Your draconian quest for perfection has dulled your luster considerably. Not recommended. Update: I appreciate that the owner is blindly backing his employee, Krystal, with whom he seems to hold in high regard. Not sure why, considering she's talking out of both sides of her mouth. What he still fails to acknowledge is that Krystal told me on the phone they had all kinds of job orders to fill and that someone with my skills and experience would be a joy to place. I show up at the office off an airplane via taxicab, and all of a sudden, I'm not useful to you at all. That stinks of discrimination and considering how disingenuous she seemed upon meeting, I would suggest she was intimidated. She should be, because I can smell the bullshit in her pockets even if you can't, Slim. When I do finally get hired, Parker Staffing will NOT be utilized as I am always the decision maker in that scenario. Parker Staffing has many other negative reviews and Jacob's attempt to isolate mine is laughable and...well, lame. A responsible manager would address the issues maturely and deal with them, not deflect them. Jacob will never admit that he enjoys a business relationship with good and bad clients, and they aren't all equal no matter what he personally believes. The facts speak for themselves....Krystal had ample opportunity to be honest and up front about the state of open job orders prior to the interview but instead chose to put money before ethicality and dragged me into the office for nothing. Then, when I complained about it, Jacob had ample opportunity to address issues with his employee, and so I'm told (in so many words) that they reserve their rights to be douchebags whenever they wish. I spent forever looking for a job until I discovered Parker through craigslist. They got me an amazing contract position and Starbucks HQ and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. I've always heard horror stories about Temp agencies but Parker is the best in my opinion. They offer great jobs, direct deposit and the staff is awesome! They are friendly, engaging and always there to help you! Alex, whom I've been working with since this all began has been the best by far. She constantly makes sure we have everything we need to succeed, gives pointers, checks up on us and wasn't afraid to give her personal cell number just in case we needed her. Pros - It provided great pay, and amicable amount of hours when needed. Cons - No flexibility at all, when your assignment would end, they would not communicate to you in person, rather wait until the end of your shift over the phone or not just put you on the schedule for the following week. Plus lack of empathy, due to situations such as taking off for a sick child or having to pick them up from school. They say they're flexible, but only say that to get you in the door. Advice to Senior Management - Have more of a rapport ,empathy and open mind with your associates and not just blind side them. read more

I start working tomorrow!! I can't believe this!! I have been out of work since November 2012 and on July 26th I begin my first job here in Washington. I give ALL THE CREDIT to Parker Staffing.. I have to tell you that I have used more than 6 employment agencies to help me find work since April 2013 and NONE OF THEM was able to work as fast and as professional as Parker, I am still in awe. Some of these agencies were (Apple One, Office Team, Volt, Tetra Tech, Mastech, Aerospace and much more!) NONE of them were as kind and as efficient as Parker. I am so lucky to have found them by accident, I was looking at Administrative temp agencies in Seattle on yelp and accidentally stumbled upon a really bad review about another agency and underneath one comment was a super great one about Parker and about a staff member named Krystal. So I looked them up and found a Receptionist job on their site and I applied. The same afternoon I get a call from Krystal herself telling me to come meet her the next day! So I went to my interview and it was very standard but enjoyable, I had a huge pimple on my face and I kept on apologizing for it and she laughed with me lol she's very friendly and welcoming. Anyway, she introduced me to her coworker who gave me a briefing about this job I applied for and what to expect from the person who will interview me, now at the time I really thought that meh this company will do the same thing everyone else did, which is tell me that they'll submit me to the client and then we'll wait until the respond, and nothing happens. BUT!! THE NEXT DAY I get a call from Krystal asking me if I'm free at 2:15pm for a phone interview with that client!! I was shocked and stuttered LOL "YES!! Of course I'm free!!" She was happy and prepped me as well as sent me an email with the client's website to do some homework on them. I got the phone call at 2:15pm and at 4pm Krystal calls me and tells me that the client wants to meet me TOMORROW!! I was so excited beyond words and went to my interview the next day and afterwards I get a call from Krystal again in the afternoon telling me that I GOT THE JOB AND I START TOMORROW!!! Applied on Parker's website online = 07.22.2013 Interviewed with Krystal = 07.23.2013 Had phone interview with Client = 07.24.2013 Had in person interview with Client = 07.25.2013 Start working tomorrow = 07.26.2013!! I am just so grateful, so happy that I found these guys and I just had to share with everyone how crazy its been for me with other agencies but Parker Staffing were right on the money with my resume and I can't believe I'll finally be working again. I wasn't sure what to expect when I applied to a job through the Parker Staffing website, but within days I received a form email to schedule a Skype interview with their recruiter, Kelly. While I communicated with a few others at the agency, Kelly was who I communicated with most often. The interview I had with her was great. It was laid back but still a typical job interview, and then she provided me with feedback to improve some of my answers and tips for revising my resume. I sent her my updated resume, and she kept me on her radar for jobs that might be a good fit for me based on our conversation. When I went in to fill out some paperwork, she sat down with me for about 10-15 minutes to talk with me about an interview I had just been on and about salary negotiation tips--all for a job that wasn't through them. I really appreciated that she genuinely wanted to help me, and not just for a commission they'd get for placing a candidate. In the beginning, she called me about once a week for updates on how the interview process was going for me (for jobs I was applying to outside of them) and to run job openings by me to see if I was interested. It slowed down after the first initial weeks, but I didn't feel forgotten about. I could see that their staff was checking my LinkedIn profile and they called me once to see if I wanted to fill a last-minute need in my neighborhood just for some extra cash. I only went on one job interview set up through them, and I originally didn't really feel that excited about it or that it was a great match for me, but figured I should go for the experience. I honestly felt underqualified for the job, but felt more confident after the interview even though I didn't get the job. It was nice to have that push out of my comfort zone because it motivated me to continue applying to jobs I might not have considered before. After I went on this interview was when I started hearing from them less, and I wondered if it was because they got poor feedback about me from the employer, but I think that was my insecurity creeping in. I remembered that during my first meeting with Kelly she told me that I might not hear from them for weeks at a time because what I was most interested in, a direct-hire opportunity, was what was least commonly available and they weren't just trying to get me just any job. Even though they didn't place me in a position, I'm glad I worked with them because it was free interview and resume help and a new perspective on how my skills might translate into different positions. If I find myself laid off and in need of help and motivation to find a new career, I'll definitely reach out to them again. read more

I have over ten years' experience as an admin asst, in a variety of fields, and was sent on one interview for a temp assignment. No follow-up info until I called back. I worked a contract through Parker, at Vulcan. When my contract was up, I called the recruiter to ask what to do. She told me to ask Vulcan about extending my contract. I had another job offer so asked Parker to do their job and let me know re Vulcan. They didn't. I asked the recruiter about 10 times via email to inquire. She refused and demanded that I do it. Since my contract was up, I left for the new job. On vacation I checked in with Parker re my application for Federally Guaranteed Cobra. I hadn't gotten anything in the mail, etc. It was a holiday and the recruiter & Co. were off. So the nice gal who answered said I was STILL LISTED AS EMPLOYED. That is why I could not receive Federally Guaranteed Cobra benefits. Time was running out. So I instructed the woman to back date their records and list me as not employed per the truth. She then backdated my records to the accurate date I left the project. The recruiter wanted to make her numbers look good so she kept me on the books for her gain, and my Federal loss. This is patently illegal in all states, I did call and inquire. read more

During our initial interview she took time to really get to know me and I didn't feel like it was going in one ear and out the other. She worked on my behalf and she consistently kept in touch with me, providing me with notice and a contact person when she was going to be out of the office. She worked with me on testing (something I dread) and consistently provided positive encouragement as well as some great suggestions on how to discuss my job history. Living in California I've really been disappointed in the last 10 - 15 years with the recruiters here. Gayle reminded me of the recruiters of days past who saw applicants as people, working with and for them, not just a commission to be plugged into any job. Having been exposed to recruiters who tend to be, let's be generous here, creative with the truth, I knew Gayle was always honest with me. Spoke to Janis yesterday and I was not satisfied with my service as a job seeking client. She told me I could not get to my dreams and I should not bother to seek a Public Relations or Human Resources career. Janis laughed at me when I told her my expected salary level was 45,000-65,000 per year with 2 years of administrative experience. She told me my expected salary level is not possible and laughed over the phone. She also implied I should go back to school when I should not have to. Janis also said that they only consider applicants in the area and that none of her clients would want to look at me. I feel uncomfortable and discouraged with my job search with recruiters due to this experience. Will not recommend this agency to any of my friends, I am not trying to personally bash her. My needs were not addressed as a client to find a prospective employer. I thought recruiters were suppose to help you when you are seeking a career switch. The experience left me doubting myself when I have a college degree. read more

I called Parker staffing services twice with questions regarding employment. Both times I was put through to a voice mail in which I left my name and contact information. On the second call I relayed to the receptionist that I had not been called back. Alas, I have never received the courtesy of a phone call. Not professional. From one star ("Eek! me thinks not") to four stars ("yay, I'm a fan")! I received a call today from a recruiter, Gayle, both apologizing and answering the questions that I had for her. I will be in their offices on Friday for an initial meeting. I also received an email from Jacob explaining the lack of communication, apologizing and putting a solution in place so that it doesn't happen to someone else. I am impressed. Hmm. Where to start with the amazing'ness that is Parker Staffing. When I found myself unemployed for the first time in years, I contacted a friend who works at Parker. His response was "don't worry, sweetie. We'll get you something." The next day, I had an interview with Gayle, who was very sweet and very reassuring that they would find me work. And they did. Over the next couple of months, I was placed at several conferences, some weeks working almost full time, which was a total blessing. Once conference season started slowing down, I was placed at a software company a few weeks later, which was a phenomenal group to work with. Once that ended, Gayle set me up with an interview downtown, got the job, which is where I worked until I left Seattle. One of the several beautiful things about Parker is they want to make sure that you're a good cultural fit with the company that's looking. Parker wants to see you succeed and be happy. And they'll do everything in their power to make sure that happens. Being unemployed can be a real confidence killer. If you need a 20 minute motivational chat, your recruiter will give you that time. THEY WANT TO SEE YOU SUCCEED!!! Parker successfully holds on to that human element. I moved to Seattle and heard decent things about Parker Staffing. I was currently working but decided to try them out. My original contact was very nice over e-mail and said one of her colleagues would interview me in person before they started the processing. But when I went in to do an in person interview I was taken aback how unprofessional the recruiter, Grace, was. I was honest about the role I was looking to get into, that I had 2.5 years experience and understood that my current salary was on the higher scale. Her first response was, " You won't be able to find a job that would pay that." I was kind of taken aback by how rude that was plus I've in the past worked with a number of agencies and understand how the process goes. After talking about my work experience and skills, she then said, "I just want to be open and honest with you. You were defensive and hostile when I inquired about your salary." I did not believe what I said was hostile, so I then carefully re-explained to her that I understood my salary was high and that I was willing to go down for the right company. But I did not think that it would be impossible to find a job that met my salary expectations and career goals. Difficult yes, impossible no. She then tried to talk about how she didn't like how our conversation started out and how most companies can only offer lower. But that she would "work" to help me but wanted to maintain an open and honest relationship. I left the interview feeling upset. Thankfully, I never did heard from her and instead found a job on my own that caters to my salary expectations and experience. A good recruiter would have acknowledged what I had said and gone from there on steps to go forward. If the jobs they had were too low in salary or did not cater enough experience, they should have provided advice to still help the candidate get in the right direction. Overall, I thought this intake interview was very unprofessional.There might be other recruiters that are good to work with here, but my experience was not great with them. read more

After a couple months of showing my sincere interest in working with Parker Staffing to find jobs and networking opportunities, the amount of assignments became plentiful. Also, the way in which the team worked together and presented the opportunities showed an intelligent business sense to find the right "fit" for me, while seeking and respecting my thoughts about the job. As a result, together we have found many well-fitted temporary assignments for me. Going above and beyond, Parker took care to check in with me in the middle of the long-term assignments to see how everything was going. They were also always available to respond to my inquiries in a timely manner. Parker continues to show great business partnership, and I consider my work with them an ongoing success! read more

After being fired from an assignment because of scheduling restrictions this staffing company decided I walked off. They then decided not to assist me with my job search anymore because the client said I quit. It was witnessed that I was walked off the property. Never again will I go through this with a staffing company.. Horrible read more

I had an interview there and the interviewing recruiter had already pre-judged me as a non hire in the lobby. Their recruiting staff reached out to me having seen my posted resume elsewhere, but the interviewer came into the meeting without a copy of my resume, needed to take a moment to review it. While her feedback on my resume was good her demeanor was condescending and she made statments that could be construed as racist & ageist. Obviously she does not know the Seattle office culture or reapect the diversity here. read more

I contacted Parker Services looking for a contract position and never got any call back. I called in multiple times and left voice mails and even sent a couple of emails but I didn't get any reply at all. Parker services didn't even care enough to take the time and call me back to let me know there was no positions available or they were still looking around for me. I am very upset about this unprofessional behavior and will never be working with Parker Staffing Services again. read more

I just signed with Parker this last week and after having worked through a few Temporary Agencies both in Seattle and Bellevue this one is hands down the best so far! They were super professional, I was able to take a skills assessment test from the comfort of my own home (the first day I did the test I wasn't confident about the results since there was a bunch of distractions and an unexpected computer update!)--The day after taking this test I went in to meet with two wonderful recruiters Stacy and Rachael. The worst part of some temp. agencies is the fact that you feel like your just a body filling a position at a company whether you want to be there or your skill set is right for it, as long as the agency is getting their money. With Parker that was't the case and I really felt like both Stacy and Rachael were concerned with where I want to be working, eventually permanently and even if it was a contract for six months it wasn't going to be somewhere I had no interest or felt as if I wasn't being utilized in the right way. I am not an excuse person either, but during my interview we went over my skills test which they assured me looked just fine, but I felt very comfortable telling both Stacy and Rachael I knew I could have done better and didn't feel completely prepared and at the level I know that I am, but I guess I'd have to live with the results. To my surprise they said if I wanted to re-do the test (which is timed so it's not just looking up how to do something in excel--which I knew I could do!) that that was fine! I guess for me having been laid off the last few months and feeling like I have been applying with companies directly and with some temporary agencies no one has really listened to where I see myself and what I can deliver, that is until I went to Parker Staffing. I can't wait to see what the next few weeks bring, but I am very optimistic and know that Stacy, Rachael, and their newest Sourcer Krystal who brought me onto to this wonderful company will give me the hand-up I've been seeking.
