Parker uniforms, in general, wear extremely well and I have had four children wear them. Worst company to do business with!! Had to put at least one star just to write a review. Ordered my childrens uniforms in end of July, mind you they are expensive uniforms. It's almost end of August and I still have NO uniforms. Also finding out I'm not the only family that has issues with this company. You think the least they could do for overpricing their uniforms is at least expedite the package. I've attempted to contact the company multiple times, and nothing. Nothing but generic responses. This is a company that is servicing multiple private schools. I'm going to contact the school to find business with other companies, ones that are more professional. Horrible customer service. Just horrible. After waiting 45 minutes to be waited on, then having to wait again if we needed a different size, etc., and then having to wait AGAIN to check out, we just left. Yes, we were frustrated at wasting an hour and a half and still not getting any uniforms, but at some point you have to refuse to patronize companies with such abysmally poor customer service. We'll order online instead--and NOT from Parker. They really need to re-think how they process their in-store customers, it's a joke. read more

SOOOO many issues and I've just entered the world of buying school uniforms. It's a shame because so far my daughter's school is THE BEST! Using this company (and having no other options) has been such a hassle. I'm still waiting on a jumper I ordered 4 months ago. Had to cancel a pair of shoes I ordered because we can't wait anymore (plus, I found them cheaper elsewhere). It is unfortunate that Parker is the only place that I can get my children's uniforms. If you can, go to the store to check on the size, buy what's available there, but go online and order items that are not available so that you can track the progress without calling them constantly. I would not recommend for you to do back-order from the store because there is no way to track it but yet they charge you immediately. My experience with Land's End, they will not charge any back-order until they shipped to you. Land's End website is absolutely fantastic (but their products--not so much). As week(s) go by, I have to keep calling Parker store and ask if my back-order is coming. The store promised to call me back 3 times for the past 2 weeks but they never did. I finally used their headquarter 1800 number in Houston and they were able to give me a better update and they were able to escalate 2 of my items that were back-ordered for a month to be shipped within few days. Uniforms quality are great though, I like it better than Land's End but Parker needs to improve buyer's experience. Though you can track your items online-barely that is, the site looks like what you see 15 years ago and I don't understand that when s/s kids polo cost me like close to $30 a piece and I had to buy 10! So obviously they ARE making money. Anyway, hoping not to buy for a while. I will still go to the store if I need 1 or 2 items since I have no other choice, but I'm hoping to see some improvement in near future. I read the horrible reviews and was worried about what I would find. But the magnet school our child is entering requires uniforms so on tax free weekend, I decided to bite the bullet and drive over there. They must have read the reviews, too, and decided to address the customer service issue. The service was prompt even though it was busy and they had plenty of staff to service everyone. And they were very friendly. The prices of the uniforms are of course ridiculous but the in-store staff has no control over how this national company sets prices. August 2016 Update: Oh, what a difference a year makes. I have been shopping at Parker for a full year now and have come to believe that my first, not-horrible experience, was a fluke. I went in last week only because my order still hadn't arrived after two weeks and my child needed clothes. Ditto what all the other reviewers said about being understaffed. I've learned my lesson. Only order the things you can only get there (shirts with logos and skirt), order them online 4 to 6 weeks before you actually need them and then plan to call or visit if (when) your order is late. I took my daughters to Parker on a Saturday afternoon in late July thinking I was beating the August Back-to-School crowds. I was terribly wrong. But I do want to preface the negative part of this review by saying that the employees at Parker were courteous, professional, busting their tails, and handling a difficult situation as best they could. Sophia, you were awesome and a sweetheart. Upon arriving at 1:30 pm, I signed up on a wait list and was told it would be a 1.5 hour wait. One saving grace is that I was sent text updates so I was able to leave and run errands. Unfortunately, the wait estimate was off by an hour and we finally got called up at 4:00 pm. Then, what should have been 10-15 minutes of trying on clothes, was tripled in time and hassle factor and I feel it's for several reasons: 1) Parker's sizing is so terribly unpredictable and inconsistent from standard US sizing. For instance, my 9-year old ended up with an 8 in her weekday skirt but a 12 in her mass skirt. My 11-year old wears a size 14plus in standard sizing but needed a 20 in her mass skirt and shirt. So it took us three trips back to the salesperson, who was trying to help other customers, before we even came close to the right size. Other customers were having the same problem with sizes. These are orders that could otherwise be done online but I learned long ago that I have to physically take my girls to the store to try on the items or we'd end up returning order after order. 2) It's only July and all I kept hearing being said to customers is "we are out of that size and will have to order it." Well guess what? There were customers in the store that still hadn't received orders placed in June! Not to mention, in the case of my 9-year old, the size 10 mass shirt was too small and they were out of both size 12 and 14! I placed an order at the store for a 12 but God only knows if it'll be the right size! 3) They are way behind on shipping so in addition to serving store customers, they are having to serve disgruntled online customers who are coming into the store to figure out why their orders are stalled 4) They don't carry slim or plus sizes like Land's End -- creating even more fitting room nightmares and longer wait times. And don't even get me started on how overpriced they are. Please please please save yourself the time and money and buy all your polos and khaki bottoms at Land's End and Target. Get the bare minimum (plaids and mass uniforms) at Parker. You'll thank me later. read more

Heads up for other families -- I ordered shirts on July 4, which was 30 days ago. I still have not received them. I emailed customer service and received a generic email saying there were production delays. Since this is the only store that carries our uniform shirts, we are over a barrel ... but if you have a choice, you will be wise to work with someone with a stronger reputation for timely services and engaged customer service. read more

Costumer service is great and the sale representatives were very helpful in telling me what my son needed. August is very busy and the Que works so well when you sign in from home, i was able to leave and run some errands before coming back to the store. I recommend that YOU COME IN JUNE or early July, the store is not busy, i have maybe waited 30 minutes before and that was because it was the last day of the June sale. A sale representative told me that some days in June no one even comes into the store. Overall I will be contacting corporate to notify them to make changes on how things are done at Parker because I feel that they way they run their stores make it more stressful on the people that work there. read more

Ughhh this company is the worst....my son's school only allows Parker uniforms. We bought second hand so we wouldn't have to deal with them but unfortunately they are older shorts and didn't fit (fitting not offered during second hand purchase). We went by the sizing on the site to order more unfortunately they are huge.....we submitted a ticket online and have called everyday for the last 5 working days with no answer......IF YOUR CHILD's school uses this company MAKE SURE YOU COMPLAIN TO THE SCHOOL. read more

My son is starting high school this fall and we needed to get his uniforms from Parker. We walked into the store and signed in. A few minutes later we were being helped. The Parker representative was extremely helpful and very patient. She made sure we had everything we needed before we left. Some items had to be special ordered and we are still waiting on them to show up. I am hoping they show up soon. read more

This place is a nightmare. When I first came they were closed during business hours due inclement weather and the sun was out. The second day I came I got here when they opened and was told it would be a 20 minute wait turned out to be over an hour before I finallly was able to put my order in. Went to pick up 5 hours later and they were ready but there was a small issue with one shirt and they got that cleared up quickly. The store is poorly managed with an ancient computer system so they've got some things working against them. While I was there many other disgruntled parents came in with many different issues with orders and very long wait times. I feel sorry for the staff there. read more

There is simply not an efficient or effective way to deal with this company online or in store. The local Austin store is a joke, a level of incompetence rarely seen in the world of retail. I hoped I could circumvent that clown show by ordering online but get this.....the local store fulfills the order!!!! I've been waiting over a month for some stupid T-shirts with IRON ON decal. How hard could that be? It would be better if they would give me the shirts and decals and I'll do it myself. The texting queue system is more of a waste of time than if I just came and waited. It's all over the map. At one point the wait went from 14 minutes to 30 minutes in the span of 5 minutes. When we rushed over and checked in, we ended up waiting more than 30 minutes anyway, as people who arrived after us, were taken before us. About 15 minutes after checking in and being told we were next, I got another text that said the wait was now 15 minutes! This system is useless and has taught me to order everything from Land's End online, except the items that Land's End can't fill. It would be easier to order, try on and send back instead of going through this nonsense. read more

This place is AWFUL! They have no organization. Showed up to an onsite school uniform sale with a 30 minute late opening with hardly anything to "cash and carry". Only two staff members and three last minute untrained volunteers to help the families that showed up. With one person to check out, I waited literally an hour just to check out. Parker knows the families are at their mercy and don't care how poorly their customer service is; they know you can't go anywhere else. Sad thing is it was the same way 6 years ago, so they can't claim it as being a "fluke". If I could, I would go somewhere else. read more

This company is the worst! After 2 months of waiting for my order, I receive the wrong item. When I finally got in touch with the store, there was no sense of urgency in correcting the issue... in fact, Lara, the person I spoke with acted as if it was no big deal that I made an order in July, then received the wrong item in October, after waiting so long. Sad thing is, the packing slip has the right item charged and paid for, and the item was shipped overnight through Fedex. So, you couldnt take two second to make sure the one item put in the box was the correct size? Mind you my son's school goes from 5th grade to 8th grade, the jacket I received was a youth size. When I went it was very busy but I was seen in ~5 minutes. The woman that helped me explained the sizing options, I made my choices, waited about 5 minutes more to check out, exchanged my items, bought the new ones and was out the door in 15-20 minutes. I canceled the order and asked to be refund a month and half ago, and they said they will reimburse in a week but has not been reimburse back, I called several times and they just tell me somebody is going to call me and other excuses, I think this company is going under the water and they know and still accept orders, terrible experience, do not buy anything from them because you only going to loose your time and money. read more

I visited Parker School Uniforms December 31. I was greeted, upon my arrival, by two sales people. The sales person who helped us was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. It was an excellent experience for our family, especially for our son who was "not so sure about this uniform thing." While waiting on our shirts to arrive, I have washed the 1 shirt available each day, and it still looks like new. I called today to check on our shirts that we ordered. As so often happens with a monopoly, they don't even try to provide decent customer service. I was informed by the manager today that no, of course the sales staff don't know anything, they're all new. Where to begin? They have a Q system at the store. Expect if you don't know anything about that for them to say when you show up at the store, 'hey, we don't care where you've driven from, it's gonna be a 5 hour wait'. Expect them to say that in a very unpleasant tone, too, just for good measure. Having been thwarted by the teeny bopper at the store, I decide to try my hand at online ordering. Oh, what a fool I am. Everything was backordered, but hey, we're gonna charge you anyway. I called, it's a 30 minute wait on hold every time, only to be told my concern had been escalated. So, cancelled order. Told them to refund money. Neither happened, unbeknownst to me. Trying my hand once again with the store. Did the Q thing, got bumped from Q = 3 hour wait. Yep, 3 hours. Seriously, this is one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. Still no refund, but hey, at least the order is cancelled...ha, ha, ha. Third time's the charm so they say, and this time, I got into the store without being kicked from the Q - hurrah! They even gave my my long promised refund on the goods that were never sent. I'm hitting a home run, all is well, I'm as happy as a clam. That sounds like the end of this sorry tale, doesn't it? Uh, nope. The curse of Parker Uniforms.garbage.com will not lie. Yes the Queue needs a lot of work. It takes a very long time and the wait can be extremely inconvenient. Waiting only to be told you will have to order because the items are not in stock can be extremely frustrating. HOWEVER, the workers at this store are seriously trying their hardest to make as many customers as they can happy. The staff is made up of mostly high-school and college aged students. To put in a little perspective, this is a first job for many of them. Never in my time shopping at Parker have I had a poor experience because of an employee, nor have I ever overheard an exchange between customer and employee where the employee was out of line. It doesn't make sense to think that these kids are being as rude as some of these reviews make it seem. People aren't going to be intentionally negative to their customers - that will get you fired. Employees, you guys are giving it a really good effort especially dealing with frustrated customers and I appreciate your positive attitudes. Keep in mind that from about mid July to the end of August this store is EXTREMELY BUSY. It seems that most customers have the same idea about coming in at this time and it clogs up the store. This location services 20+ school in the central Texas area. That's a lot of customers to help. I've found the most success coming in during the JUNE SALE. You can get around 20% off depending on how much you spend. Sales reps are also under less stress during this time and the trips take way less time. Then you just keep tags on the items, try them on again in July, and exchange for other sizes in store if needed. I recommend getting the next size up if something looks like it fits properly in June. This saves the dreaded "we'll have to order it". The idea of the Queue is good in theory. It's meant to eliminate in-store lines. I remember the days where there were lines out the door. While the Queue isn't the most user friendly to sign in on your own, if you go in the store in the mornings they can put you in and its more successful. I think it's a bit ridiculous hearing people complain about how terrible the store is because of the long lines. It's similar to a DMV. A very large amount of people need to be helped at a DMV almost all the time. You get a number, you wait, you get helped. That wait may take a frustrating amount of time, but I'd much prefer the Queue over their number system. And I'd much rather prefer the Queue over no Queue at Parker. The most we can do for now is try to be patient and understanding with the process and it goes by much smoother - trust me. read more

Parker's new website is impossible to navigate on an Apple mobile device. I waited until a few weeks before school will start to order ( because I wanted to see how tall my boys would get this summer). The order has not processed yet. I did receive a cryptic email that just said they were running behind and would get to orders as soon as they can. ( This was before I ordered). Why launch a new system right before school starts- assuming this is the busiest time for orders ? Right? Today I waited on hold for the Austin store for 30min before I hung up. All I can say about this company is "horrible, just horrible." They did a school sales event back in August that was very inefficient and with minimal supply of product. Why I chose to place an online order back on December 7 with expectations that my boys could have some new shirts for the second half of the year....what was I thinking? My order is still pending as of now, there is no means of communicating with the company either in TX or locally and the communication form online is "unavailable." Just horrible! We have bought school uniforms in 4 different city's for 4 different private schools. I already struggle with the monopoly-created attitude most uniform stores have... The "you have to buy from us so we don't work at making you happy" attitude, so every little extra effort they take to make returning items hard really frustrates me. This store is by far the worst!!! Backordered items are given a 90 day return policy FROM THE DATE PAID NOT SHIPPED/RECEIVED. So if it takes 10 weeks to get an item, the customer has only 14 days left of the 90 to return them! WHO DOES THIS?? Horrible policy and I will search high and low for another store who sells our stuff (states away) to avoid ever doing business with them again. I ordered 1 single shirt in July. By Oct., I was trying to cancel the order since I'd bought the shirt elsewhere. No one would answer the phone or return my calls or emails. I just received the shirt yesterday, 12/12. Now I'm trying to get a return authorization so I can return the shirt. Mind you, it's a short sleeve shirt and it's now Dec. Well, after reading these reviews I can at least feel that I am not being singled out to give horrible service to. Parker Uniform has the very worst service I have ever seen in a business. Not only do they not get the school uniforms to you but can't even bother to respond to any emails or phone calls. I would reccomend NEVER using them if it is at all possible. I get that some uniforms have to be bought through them but you can probably find an embroidery or printing company that would be willing to duplicate the logo and do the uniforms for you. And even if it cost a little more - at least you would "get" the uniforms. read more

I have been in to this store about 5 or 6 times to purchase various uniform items for my children. I dread it. It always takes much longer than it should, even if I'm the only customer in the store. Worst company in Austin! I still have uniforms I have not received from an order placed in July. Their customer service is the worst ever if you can ever get someone on the phone. I'm surprised they are even in business. The quality of clothes is terrible the shirts fad after one wash. My kids look like bums going to school in clothes that are faded and sizes that are completely off. I love my school but having to shop at Parker is the worst! THE WORST COMPANY!! I ordered uniforms a month ago. Two items arrived a month late. Another item was listed on the packing slip, but was not in the shipment. After 35 minutes on hold, I learned that 2 of my items are on back order for another 4 weeks, at least! Why would they sell me a product that is knowingly out of stock - and give me no warning that I would need to wait 8 weeks for something that I paid for?! My son wore his sister's jacket for the first day of school (embarrassing!) Stuck because this is the only place to buy the official school blazer. Horrible company. AVOID this place at all costs. I encourage all parents that have had a similar experience to please let your school know about your awful experience so that they will not recommend this place anymore. This is the first business I have visited that I would give negative stars if possible. They were recommended by my child's school as the only place to get uniforms. To start, the sizing chart on their website is terrible. Partly due to this we purchased over $150 of clothes which were too big. We returned the clothes at the store and then purchased over $200 of the correct size clothing. The return process involved one of the store associates writing down my card number on a sheet of paper, and then writing down by hand each item I was returning. I was told the return would be processed. No credit ever showed up so after 10 business days we called the store on three separate days, explaining the situation. Nobody offered to refund us, and each time we were told a manager would call us back, which never happened. We then called the corporate line and was told by the rep that they would escalate the situation and we would receive a call within 72 hours. After one additional week of no refund or call back we called today and spoke with two different customer service reps. The first one literally ummmed and hmmmmed for 19 minutes while I was on the phone with her and then let us know that she would e-mail a supervisor and they wold call us within 72 hours. Are you kidding me!! The next rep we talked with stated the same thing and also stated that there was not anyone higher up that we could speak with about the situation. It has now been 24 days since the original refund should have been processed and no resolution in sight. read more

Went in to Parker School Uniforms today to get a few things for my daughters for their school uniforms. I only had a minute wait for someone to help me. The lady was very nice, smiled, and was very helpful. When they didn't have the next size up my daughter needed she was very helpful and showing me the comparison between girls sizes and junior sizes so I could decide on what would fit my daughter the best. read more
