I left them alone and let them do their thing for a few hours and just told them to text me when they were ready, which they did. After they were all done and I was setting up in my new apartment, the first thing I looked for was my air conditioner. It was a hot day and if I was gonna be working on setting up my new apartment I needed cool air. I couldn't find it anywhere, I couldn't even find any of my many fans. So I went back to the old apartment and found them all there. Why leave those? I told them the only things I didn't want them to move, the air conditioner and my fans were definitely not on that list. I understand saving those for last so you can have them running while you work, but why just leave them at the end? It's so strange. They left a number of other things I had wanted them to get as well, but easily the most annoying thing was the air conditioner. It's a big heavy one that sits on the floor, I was pretty annoyed that now I had to bring it down two stories of stairs when I had just paid these movers $1200 to do it. So that loses them three stars in my rating. I should also mention that days after our move we got an email from them offering us a $25 gift certificate to L.L. Bean in exchange for a positive review. I chose to write an honest review instead.

We ONLY needed them to move certain large items as we would be moving our smaller belongings ourselves. Our new home is LESS than 10 minutes away from our current home, yet they wanted to charge us over $200 just in travel fees alone! Then, they charge $231 per hour on top of that with a MINIMUM of 6 hours. UNREAL!!!! So, to move just a few large items less than 10 minutes away, which probably would have taken no more than 2 hours, it would have cost us nearly $2000 (the quote they provided us was $1700). What a joke!!!! We have since hired another local moving company, who will only be charging us a little over $400 for this move and have told us that it may even be less if they are able to do it faster, which is FAR more reasonable and is exactly what we expected to pay for this move. These people are Liberty Bell are greedy price gougers!!! No way would we ever pay that much for a local move! Hell, we have friends who moved almost 800 miles and they didn't even pay that much! Definitely do NOT recommend this company!

When the crew arrived, they were immediately informed that the property was involved in an active divorce case and that a court injunction prohibited the removal of any items. Despite being told this directly and clearly, the movers ignored the legal notice and proceeded to remove items at my wife's request--including premarital property that belongs solely to me. Their behavior made the situation even worse. While loading my belongings, the movers made jokes about the situation, and when I stated that the items they were taking were my property, one of them yelled back, "No it's not!" The level of disrespect and unprofessionalism was astonishing. A reputable moving company should stop immediately when notified of a legal restriction. Instead, Ron's Moving Company chose to proceed, creating financial harm, legal complications, and unnecessary conflict. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Their disregard for legal instructions and their unprofessional conduct speak volumes about how they operate.

She made the process extremely easy and had the quote to my inbox within 48 hours. I've amended the quote and as always Trudy is prompt, courteous, and reassuring. This move truly is catered to my needs without breaking the bank. They offer full pack services and car moving services (not towing or driving, actually on a truck) and charge by weight, not volume. Our belongings were packed carefully and expeditiously as they brought along about 7 people to help pack our 2800sqft house. The movers asked us before packing items if they had any questions and stickered every item for storage or new living space. They were careful not to ding up the house, they were courteous, and they did a fabulous job. Not ONE item is broken post-move. They went over the packing list with me post-pack to explain cost, materials used, labor, and show a detailed list of what had been packed. There had been a hiccup with our delivery truck due to weather (January in Maine), and they gave us the option of taking everything that day, or leaving us our bed and a few items to then pick up two days later when the truck arrived. We opted for them to take everything as we had an air mattress and enough to get by. I appreciated their willingness to be flexible and that they were sensitive to my emotions regarding leaving our beloved home. When the truck delivered our items, earlier than scheduled, everything was unloaded with care (though I think this was by an Allied crew). Our final cost was $600 less than expected. Woohoo! CMM&S has exceeded all of my needs, and I absolutely recommend them for your moving needs.

The best way to sum things up is F&G is sadly "normal", meaning they suffer from the same societal disease diagnosed as lacking above and beyond customer service. You have to manage them - they won't manage you. Their communication, after the sale, was lacking expectation. Once paid in full, F&G never communicated again. Never told us "who" the contracted carrier was or how to reach them with questions. Never tracked our delivery or called to inform us the delivery date was extended (again) 2 days - a total of 3 days late. They were hands off with no attempt to illustrate an "extra mile customer service effort". We now wish we'd gone with the other, lower cost, local mover who we also used previously.

They changed the appointment a few times so at this point it aligned with the day I was packing a Uhaul to move out of my house. They parked the massive tractor trailer in my driveway leaving me no space for the Uhaul. After someone had already come out and checked out the items that needed to be moved, they sent only 2 guys. Long story short, it needed a 3rd person. We waited well over an hour for that 3rd person to show up. Did I mention that I'm also trying to move at the same time they are taking up the whole driveway? Time is money. Once they got the items on the truck, they were on their way. The guys doing the moving did a fine job. I negotiated for storage at their place. As others have noted, they really care mostly about the money. I had a handful of times been overcharged or charged for things that were not in our contract. They always gave me the credit back but who wants to sit there and monitor their account everyday because they cannot trust a local company? The storing of the object was fine. We did not have any damage and when we were ready to move all of them out, they were helpful.

On moving day, Joe showed up on time and handled all of the logistics with professionalism and care.
