We recently went to Bay Aquatic Park specifically for their night glow swimming that's offered a few times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 6pm-9:30pm. Our group and others around us asked the lifeguards when the lights would turn on since it was after 8:30 and the lights were still not on and the park closed at 9:30. We were told they weren't sure, but likely soon. Around 9pm we heard over the intercom that they were closing the pool due to low visibility so that was the end of our night. It was disappointing since we drove up from Northern Colorado to experience their night glow swimming that we've seen on social media and we didn't get to experience it. Other than that, it was a good experience and we would swim here again.

Their lack of desire or ability to be reasonable and accommodating in their policies would not be successful in a competitive market. If they were to get another job, I would recommend to them the IRS or the DMV, where they could arrive on their first day of work, fully trained in the principles of not providing logical and reasonably accommodating treatment of their customers.

We have also been here as a family during the summer and the pool is lovely. You would want to come early and get a nice shady spot because they will be taken up fast. My kiddo had to do a swimming test to use the diving board in the summer and she failed both times so she had to stay in the larger shallower end of the pool. A few years ago we were members of Lifetime Fitness and let me tell you, those are the prices that are outrageous!! We have three adults and prepaid childcare for a 4-year-old and an infant and it is only $73/month!! So I don't know what the people who are complaining about the price are used to paying but the going rate now at Lifetime is $65/month for just the 1st person. Now, are the locker rooms nicer there, yes. Everything is probably a notch up there but this place is still wonderful for the price. I go at different times during the week and the only time that things have been a bit crowded was this last Sunday afternoon at the pool, but even that was not too bad. The track is nice. There are big windows and you can see the mountains as you walk. You can also pretend you are looking down at the basketball court as you look back to see if you are about to be lapped. You do have to ask for a code before going up but they tell you this if you come in and ask about the center. The pools are a bit chilly (granted it is the middle of winter and there are huge windows) but they are a good size and seem to handle the number of people. I swim every Friday with my 4-year-old and she is usually the only kid. The guards are very nice and very alert! They are constantly walking and counting the guests. I just started taking the interval class and the instructor is great. The people in the class are so supportive too. I am about 100 lbs overweight and was VERY self-conscious about being in this class, but complete strangers were smiling at me, giving me high 5's and when I went to grab my water one lady thought I was upset and leaving. She stopped her work-out to encourage me to stay. That is a pretty great community of people. My kids also love the child care. The workers are so kind. They have never acted put-out or frustrated at all. They seem to really enjoy the kids and mine asks almost everyday if she can go there. My biggest suggestion would have to be some customer service training for some of the front desk staff. I know they are busy and I'm sure they put up with a lot of stuff, but some of them act like they are constantly irritated no matter how polite you are. Again, I don't think that you can beat this facility for the price!!

The wave pool is kind of cool however it is pretty narrow, and they allow kids to be extra rambunctious in there, which makes it more of a danger than anything. Multiple times I've been there, the lap pool has been closed, which has a rock climbing wall, which maybe could be cool but again it's always been closed. It's the only pool deeper than 3 1/2 feet. They have a small lazy river which could be fun however all kids have to be in a tube and that's just not for everyone. There's a sign on the locker room that says little boys six and under aren't allowed in the women's restroom... Maybe people are fine with that but my six-year-old son is too small to be alone. Also, the biggest turn off is that you have to pay even if you aren't swimming. My kids are smaller and so obviously need a parent, but I don't need to be in the water with them, and you still have to pay, regardless, which is just annoying and kind of a rip off. It's just not where I would choose again.

Considering its in the middle of a busy city and literally right next to a highway, this is a…read morepretty peaceful little "beach." A bit of sand, a splashy river, a couple baby trees providing a liiiittle bit of shade, a hot dog stand a short trot away, plenty of room for picnics... It's a tiny piece of the great outdoors -- and you can see Starbucks across the street. This space was pretty crowded on a Saturday. Lots of kiddos and dogs swimming in the river (which feels sooooo good). More families line the tiny shore than couples or river sports-doers. We brought a nice little picnic, towels, bad magazines so we could celebrity-stalk, and a portable speaker for some beachy weekend tunes. I get real lazy on any beach; kayaking and rafting aren't really for me, but you can totally get athletic if you want. The beach is very clean and small, the sand a bit rocky, and the water cold and shallow. I can see myself spending many a summer day here.. sunbathing (wear sunscreen!), picnicking, and people watching. The best!!

My kids loved the fountain play area, lazy river and water slides, dad loves the lap pool and hot tub. There's a nice variety of paid and "free" classes for both kids and adults, as well as community activities and access to physical therapists and personal trainers. I'm an amateur kettlebell sport athlete and use the facility 4-5 times per week. The staff is generally friendly, helpful and accommodating, they keep things reasonably clean and in good repair and they have a wide variety of cardio equipment, free weights and weight machines to choose from. It can get crowded evenings and weekends, but there's seldom a long wait for equipment. I love ending my workout in the steam room or sauna and a nice hot shower before I head to work. I've had memberships at chain and franchise gyms as well as private gyms. If you're self-motivated and have your own training plan, this is a great budget-friendly option! So grateful to have access to this great facility supported by our community!!
