Great spot to grab some quick wine and snacks for a picnic. Thought the quality of sparkling wine was really good for the prices

I only went inside to escape the light rain, but I ended up having the nicest experience with the two owners, a sweet older couple. They immediately made me feel welcome, chatting with me, giving me suggestions on places to check out in the city, and just radiating kindness. By the time I was ready to leave, it was pouring outside. They offered me a plastic bag to protect my things and encouraged me to stay until the rain slowed down. It was such a small gesture, but it really left an impression. While I was there I also noticed how warmly they greeted every customer who came in, and people were genuinely happy to stop by. This was such a memorable and heartwarming first impression of Chicago. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by this shop to say hello to the wonderful owners. They truly make their customers feel cared for.

Of course I got distracted and browsed the store. There was souvenirs in this store as well, which I was not expecting. I wound up picking up winter gloves because I forgot mine at home. I then discovered a clearance cart that had a variety of boozes in there. I was super excited to find Malort! I found a unique cocktail recipe years ago that had Malort in it but was never able to find it in FL. Little did I know, it is very well known in Chicago! Obviously I purchased a little 6 pack. I browsed the aisles somewhat but did not find anything that caught my eye. I also did not want to purchase a bunch of bottles to walk with a couple of blocks. As I was waiting for the person in front of me to finish, the employee asked the customer to please step ahead so I could put my items down. He was already done and taking his time doing something else so I felt that was thoughtful of him to do for me. They were very polite and quick. The process seemed reasonable for the most part but the souvenirs were overpriced. The store was clean and tidy as well.

It's always a vague answer like we need to confirm what your doctor's instructions are or it's an insurance issue. I always make sure to confirm with doctor before they send anything over and this just has been so inconsistent. Upper management really needs to get its act together. It's not just staffing issues, as medication refills are typically partial making it necessary to make 2-3 trips to the pharmacy to get the total prescription. This is clearly not an issue with staff, but management who is trying to have minimal staff to save money. I'd highly encourage everyone to move their prescriptions to Amazon and have them delivered. What was once an incredibly frustrating experience 2-3 times a month is now something I no longer think about and is stress-free. Based off of the other reviews, pharmacy issues seems to be a theme here.

The guy working there was a great conversation and we talked bourbon for a good 15 mins. He showed me store picks, rarities and new items. Their wine and beer areas were packed with inventory, but I didn't even take the time to peruse. (I did notice a lot of local craft beer when he was taking care of a customer). If you're a Buffalo Trace fan they had bottles for around $37.50 along with a store picked barreled variant. Eagle Rare was just under $60, Colonel Taylor $69.99 and Blanton's was around $115. I saw three bottles that were intriguing including an Old Fitzgerald 7 year bottled in bond for $69.99, a Weller Full Proof for $120 and a Blanton's Gold store barrel pick for $185. For a bourbon fan they had most of the bigger distiller portfolios available with a lot of popular smaller distillers too. The prices were slightly higher than you'd like to see, but fair if you live in a state like PA where the state has liquor privatized and New Jersey stores will rape you on rare bottle prices. The taxes were high so be prepared for the city and state taking their cut. I made my purchase and happily left with some great finds. I would highly recommend visiting these guys. Thanks guys!
