Las Olas is only two miles long to the east beach and construction is always in progress. Some of my favorite places in Las Olas is the Voodoo Bayou, WorthWyld and Roccos Tacos. The newly constructed Wayne Huizenga Park is an open area to walk near the New River and a few bars. The skyscraper condos along the New River cost 1M+ but have the views of yachts and river with the many ammenities of Las Olas Blvd only steps away.

The Harbor Shops are convenient to other top Ft. Lauderdale destinations like the beach and Las Olas Boulevard. The businesses in the Harbor Shops are arranged in an open air complex with a Key West architectural vibe and nautical theme. Parking is in the center. The plaza is anchored by a Publix. I have been here many times through the years, most recently to eat at Gilbert's 17th Street Grill. Other reasonably priced restaurants here include Joe's Cafe, Indian Harbor, Duffy's, 5 Guys Burgers and Fries, and La Bamba. Shopping choices include TJ Maxx along with boutiques. There is an Ace Hardware Store, Total Wine and More, Massage Envy, Chase Bank, and Orange Theory Fitness. You can run errands and enjoy a meal all in one place. It's close to Port Everglades, the Fort Lauderdale Airport, hotels, and other SE 17th street businesses. The mall has a variety of stores and shops. Everything is here from groceries to a hardware store to clothing to wine. It offers service salons where you could get your hair cut or your nails done or even a massage. The mall gets a lot of pre and post cruise business. It's popular, so some times parking can be challenging. I've probably been here the most for the different restaurants -- from burgers to sushi. When I worked nearby and the weather was nice, I'd come for lunch and then stroll by the shops.

One of the biggest improvements was the addition of the movie theater, and the interior has been renovated to feel much more modern, bright, and clean. Many of the longtime anchor stores are still here, although some of the smaller boutique shops have come and gone over the years. I also appreciate that there are now a couple of kid-friendly attractions, including a children's museum and an indoor play center. They're great additions for families and are very reasonably priced. The parking lot is large, with multiple entrances around the property, so it's easy to access the mall from just about any direction. There is still some construction in one section of the parking lot that seems like it's been there for quite a while. I haven't seen much activity recently, so I'm not sure if the project is still ongoing. Fortunately, it's limited to one area and doesn't really affect the overall shopping experience. The mall itself is a nice size. It's not overwhelmingly large, but it's definitely not small either. Everything is indoors, making it a great place to shop, walk around, or spend a few hours, especially during Florida's hot or rainy weather. Overall, Broward Mall has done a great job modernizing while keeping many of the stores and features that have made it a local favorite for years.

During the weekdays there rarely many children playing. Weekends are obviously more crowded but fun for the kids as long as the guardians are supervising their own little ones. This is a great FREE indoor space for those Plantation days when the weather is not great outside.

The main attraction here is Publix. They completely renovated the store, and it looks really nice and modern. That has been the main reason I've visited since the plaza reopened. The parking lot is large and open, although it can be a little annoying since the lanes are directional. Overall, though, it is easy enough to navigate and there is plenty of parking. Aside from Publix, the plaza also has a pet hospital, real estate office, tax service, credit union, and an after-school program. There used to be a Jamaican restaurant here, but I no longer see it, so I'm not sure if they are planning to reopen. I also like that there are multiple entrances and exits, which makes getting in and out a little more convenient and helps with traffic flow. Overall, it's a nice, newly renovated plaza, and the updated Publix is definitely the highlight for me!

It is on the southwest corner of Atlantic and Rock Island Road. There are 640 parking spaces. Palm Lake Plaza is anchored by a Publix. Other businesses include CVS, Five Guys Burger and Fries, Starbucks, Subway, UPS, Banfield Pet Hospital, BB&T Bank, Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery, Before Hearing Center, Cricket Wireless, and First Bank of Florida. There are also hair and nail places, a lawyer, jewelry store, real estate, urgent care, a dentist, Learning City, a check cashing store, and a place to fix your phone. Plans were submitted last year to demolish the existing Publix and create a large more modern one. This would be welcome as this Publix has cramped aisles and looks dated. It looks very 80's Florida strip mall and the whole plaza could use a facelift. Still it has a good selection of dining options like Five Guys and useful businesses and services where you can run your errands. I am at the UPS at least once a month dropping off Amazon returns.

There are two main ways in and only one way out; becoming backed up or extremely congested. In fact, it took me thirteen minutes today (yes, I timed it for accurate reporting) between 1:38 and 1:51 p.m. to leave the plaza. Setting that aside, it is still a center worth frequenting. Typically, I will go during my lunch break or after work to shop at one of several retailers, like Whole Foods, Hobby Lobby, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Today, after a "quick run" which I want to overstate as a "sluggish rhythmic wave", I was pleasantly surprised to see signage up announcing another great retailer will soon be opening here next to Pet Supermarket: Sephora! Therefore, hoping they will break through the concrete by State Road 84 soon, I remain expectant of all the exciting bargains and good finds during the holidays and the new year to come!

Manager was cool but I'm not sure how long that will last in that environment. I left feeling so icky from the vibe that I never wanna go back. Was like high school at a freaking makeup store. People are spending money and just want their self care things, get over ourselves.

Today had some coffee with friends at the Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee while hundreds of little kids and mothers sat on the courtyard green to watch Miss Tracy Sings (every 3rd Sunday of the month) perform a bunch of nursery rhyme tunes while she played her guitar. It wasnt my thing but for others it was great morning entertainment. Every Thursday - Sunday the Plaza Live, with varying hours, has performers entertaining the public on the stage. "Radio" takes the stage most nights from 6pm - 10pm playing music from varying genres.

There are a handful of different places such as a massage place, a few restaurants, a UFC Fit and a couple stores to buy stuff for outdoor dining patios and whatnot. I enjoy walking around here because there is something to do on the weekends and it usually gets a nice little crowd. One of my favorite things that they host here is the car show once a month. It is really cool to see all the different styles of cars while walking around getting some snacks from the local businesses. They do need to figure out a wider variety of things here and probably need to lower the rent because there is a ton of empty storefronts that used to be something or have never been anything yet. I really enjoy the nitrogen ice cream place they have here and they even have an escape room here! There is a nice variety of things here and you can kill a bit of time hopping around the place eating and drinking because these places have pretty good happy hour specials! The walk is always super clean as well and I never have to struggle to find parking when I am here, even on event days!
