Let me preface this review by saying that I lived here for two years and really enjoyed my time there. The apartments are nice and well-priced.
However, BEWARE of management; they are completely unorganized and shady. I was contacted by a debt collection agency about 6 months after I moved out, telling me I had an unpaid debt to this apartment to the tune of several thousand dollars. It turned out that they had lost the notice I had written 60 days prior to out move-out, and were charging us not only two month of extra rent, but also an "early termination" fee.
We spent months trying to work it out, but they would not budge and claimed that my roommate and I had never submitted notice. Along the way, the major holes in their office system that were revealed were unbelievable to me. They claimed that my second roommate had never filled out any paperwork and she wasn't a legal tenant, despite the fact they had all of her info and she had paid rent for a year. Not to mention the fact she had also received a call from the collections agency trying to get some money.
Park Hudson also claimed they had tried to contact me many times regarding the debt, but when they sent me "evidence", it turned out they had sent the bill (complete with some of my personal information) to a random address in Bryan which neither I nor my roommates have any connection to. Every time I called the office trying to seek info about the supposed debt, they were rude, condescending, and tried to hang up as soon as possible. It took me months before I even saw an itemized list of the charges. I guess they would rather have the slimy folks at the collection agency try to browbeat you into paying than give you a chance to assess the legality of the bill.
Just thought I would write a little warning to anyone thinking about living here. Read the terms of your lease very carefully and keep your own personal records of ALL communications. If they "lose" your papers somewhere down the line due to their constantly changing management, you'll be out a few grand like me. read more
