In the last month, I've attended and hosted various events and LuAnn's mini cupcakes were literally the icing on the cake! I have friends and myself who are more gluten free than not and the chocolate on chocolate GF minis are divine! If you didn't tell anyone... they wouldn't ask. The cake was not decorated with the writing we asked for. We didn't realize this until the event. Lesson learned - check your cake before you leave the bakery. It was a retirement party for someone who worked 37 years for our company. They reluctantly agreed to a new cake - but only what was in the case and ready. From plating to, setting, decor, and how long they wait between plates. I have a gluten allergy and the chef accommodated very easily. There was even gluten free bread served instead of focaccia. We had the seafood platter - it's SO fresh. It was considered for 4 people because there's 4 shrimp, 4 bites of lobster and halibut ceviche but my friend and I shared it amongst just us. There's cucumber served with the oyster - never thought that combo would work but i absolutely adored it. Oyster size was a bit small but still really fresh. The beef tartare.. i mean just look at the photo. Idk what else to say. The pear & burrata salad was so simple but the elements came out nicely. The crunch and freshness of the lettuce with the bits of crushed Marcona almonds... and pepper crushed on top.. Last but not least, a wonderful trio of meats: buffalo, elk and venison. It wasn't supply chain. Just the employee advising that they didn't make the flavors. Hard to explain to a 2 year old and 5 year old. Of course the employees don't care. But neither does corporate as I called in and let them know what was going on and it's been a few days and they haven't responded. Bottom line is choose another venue to get your fill. This place is awful.
