I chose Vendettes du Point Neuf due to its proximity to the area where I was staying. It was easy to reach on the Metro as it's located on Point Neuf which is a tip of the Ile de la Cite island that Notre Dame is located on. In this case, I decided just to walk on. It was early May and I sensed that there would be plenty of room available and I was right. I arrived at 2:08 pm and immediately got on the 2:15 pm tour at a cost of 17€. I found out they have a tour boat that leaves every thirty minutes for the one hour tour. We left promptly on time sitting on top of the open air uncovered deck with great unobstructed views. The boat has a drink and snack bar on board in addition to water closets for the guests. The boat moves at about 10 miles an hour and circled the Ile de la Cite island with great views of Notre Dame and then proceed down the river passing the Orsay Museum and continuing all of the way down to the Eiffel Tower for more great views of it, There we turned around and proceeded back to the starting point arriving one hour after leaving. It was an enjoyable cruise. The weather was comfortably cool and the narrator on board did a good job of describing everything that we passed by. At the end he does stand at the exit hoping for a tip. I felt the cruise was well worth the cost and would recommend it depending on the weather.

I paid the didn't-do-the-math tax and received an extra ticket. L'histoire: We arrived an hour early, nobody in line, we were the only 3 people in sight. At the ticket window I very clearly said "nous avons deux adultes, et elle a 12 ans" (we have two adults, and she's twelve). I thought the price sounded too high, but I didn't say anything. I was handed three connected tickets, but there was a fourth child ticket folded underneath. Obviously she clearly understood me, handing over the tickets like that, and I feel like a rube for overpaying. Lesson learned, a sucker's born every minute--today it was me.

We've been on the classic Seine tour before, but this is a big cut above. Starting off on the canal in the 10th ar., a spot in Paris that's a bit less polished and touristy, you board the double decker boat (inside or outside seating) about 20-30 min prior. You go through 3 different locks (of 9 total on the canal) on what was the food highway for Paris back in the day-over 27 meters lower by the time you reach the Seine. Shortly after lock 2, the canal goes underground! For 2KM! And you eventually pass directl beneath the 50 M tall obelisk of the place de Bastille. The bi-lingual guide, Thomas, narrated along the entire 2-hour route. Once you exit the canal, you travel down the seine past the Statue of Liberty and finish back at the Pont Neuf bridge. So much better than the other swine cruises and we were lucky to have only about 35 people on board so plenty of room to get Pix.

A little hard booking and finding, but worth it!…read more I found this river tour/cruise from a recommendation from some travel bloggers. They mentioned a few things that made me want to book. It's a little messy with the booking and the website but no issues. I recommend you book ahead just to be safe. We added the champagne and the charcuterie board. Day of the tour, it is a little tough finding it. The confirmation email and voucher have the two locations of the other cruises but not the actual one you will be on! I had to read reviews to know that you don't meet at either. You meet at Pont Neuf. On a map it shows as Quai de l'Horloge, Paris, France. Just a handy FYI as we almost missed our ship. Once on, it's not the nicest but it certainly isn't bad. The guide was good and the views amazing. We were able to see the the Eiffel Tower sparkle and did a nice loop on the river. It was beautiful! I would do again but there are nicer tours. If you don't want to spend a fortune, this one is just fine!

We went a few times and enjoyed the beautiful setting while enjoying wine. The French have adopted the American "Brunch" on Sundays. What awaits on all the tables at Le Marcounet is a beautiful basket of croissants, baguette, Nutella , butter and jam. We ordered their delicious scrambled eggs and fresh fruit with a glass of champagne. Listening to the 2 piece jazz band, sipping my champagne, and watching the boats go by, memories were forever made. It was the best brunch of my life! Inexpensive too. Can't wait to revisit!!

Hot chocolate, Tartine, bread basket, viennoiseries, croissants, fresh squeezed juices... Then, eggs in a jar- adorable! Then a charcuterie platter, a fruit plate- yum!!!! We really had a once in a lifetime awesome experience here: Food, ambience, and service were all 5 stars. Go here! Rain or Shine, Sunday Brunch:)

The interior is flawlessly decorated, the dark gloss wood paneling provides a warmth and sense of classic elegance contrasted against polished brass and glass. Large, spacious areas with marble floors and mirrored ceilings exude modern elegance while the views from the ship of castles and bridges along the Seine remind you of the past. The staff is made up of global professionals that are nothing short of top tier service and care. The ship manager and excursion director are articulate, pragmatic and warm. The waitstaff are genuine, endearing and sassy! Additionally, the ship captain is like a surgeon when it comes to operating this vessel, navigating narrow locks, and docking inches from other river ships (as they do along the river.) Watching the process in real time was impressive! The rooms are state of the art equipped with digital thermostat, electronic windows that lower into a French balcony. Bathroom floors are heated and the mirrors are also-- so to prevent fogging after a long hot shower with L'occitane products. Ooh la la! The television is programmed to welcome you by name each time you turn it on. Movies, free of charge can be viewed and in suite dining and libations are available. An electronic "do not disturb" option is available inches from your resting place, located just by flipping a switch above the bedside table. Fresh water is delivered daily, and your room key powers the room and prevents you from misplacing your key while in your cabin. I'd definitely take the opportunity to sail aboard the Joie de Vivre as it was a one of a kind lifetime experience I wish everyone could share!

April 11, Montmartre Pastry and Chocolate Food Tour, Paris…read more Our family of four with a son 9 and daughter 10 did a pastry and chocolate tour through Montmartre and it ended up being a really fun way to explore the area. Arrival and First Impressions The group was small, just our family and another family, which worked out well. The shops we visited were tiny so taking turns going in and out was part of the experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and walked us through side streets, small parks, and local spots we would never have found on our own. The Highlights We stopped at six different locations including chocolatiers, bakeries, and pastry shops. Highlights included a choux pastry, crepes, madeleines, artisan eclairs, and multiple chocolate tastings. The final stop for hot chocolate and macarons was excellent. The macarons were so good we ended up buying some to bring home. The tour was not just about food. We saw the Love Wall, hidden streets, and learned about the history of Montmartre including small details about the neighborhood that made it feel more personal. The Challenges The guide did not have a very loud voice so in a bigger group it might have been harder to follow, but with our small group it worked fine. Would We Return Yes, especially to try a different tour. It was a great mix of food and exploring. Final Thoughts This tour is a great way to experience Montmartre beyond just walking around. The combination of food, history, and hidden locations made it a memorable and worthwhile experience.

Their ticket purchasing process is misleading and unethical. You go about filling our information,…read morelike you do for many websites, but unlike any other website, you hit the "Next" button (for the third time) and suddenly you have purchased the ticket, without any opportunity to review your tour date, number of participants or even credit card info. All the previous "Next" buttons led to the next step in the process, as is implied by the word and as you would expect, but not this one - it is the final confirmation of purchase even though there is NO indication that this is about to happen. Then they tell you that there are no refunds under any circumstances and that the credit and ticketing laws do not apply to them. Perhaps this is because they are based in Cyprus, which I assume they have chosen precisely to evade regulations. Note that they say there are no refunds no matter what - even if your overall trip gets cancelled or the tour gets cancelled or the guide does not show up. Be very careful, or better yet, avoid these folks and do any of the other more legitimate tours out there for wherever you are travelling to.
