They were really rude to my family and said she can't wear the pretty dress so does that mean that the other 2 dress she picked are ugly? Others might think that this is a good store but it's not. Paris is a new dress shop in Cumberland Mall. Less than a year ago Paris opened its doors showcasing an array of styles for special occasions. Whether you're eight or fifty eight, a plain Jane or fashionista, a size two or twenty two, a conservative or sophisticated or classic or trendy, Paris caters to every female predominately offering dresses and gowns. Additionally, Paris sells fancy suits, prom dresses, wedding gowns, ball gowns, cocktail dresses as well as the accessories to match. Keep in mind though; the wedding dress selection iss limited. In comparison to big department stores, specialty dress shops and bridal shops, the prices at Paris were reasonable and competitive. I wish I had known about this boutique a few months ago because I scoured the city looking for a standard cocktail dress for all the weddings I was set to attend. While I ended up getting one from Macy's, I probably could've just went to Paris and found a dress instantly. I'll certainly be going to Paris for my next dress! read more

This is not a store I would advise you investing your money in. The saleswomen are hard to understand and they will not let you try on dresses if you are under 18 and you're not with a parent. Really? We are old enough to drive ourselves but you don't trust us with your dresses? Guess what Paris, most of your customers are high school prom goers, and a lot of them will be under 18. If you walk into David's Bridal, Impressions Bridal, or CC's of Rome you are allowed to try on as many dresses as you want with pretty decent service. I don't see why they are so serious about "discounted" dresses. They also do not inform you that most everything is final sale: Evening gowns, jewlery and lingerie. That's everything but their clutches folks. I bought a dress there and decided it wasn't worth the money, but of course there was this all sales final policy that I knew nothing about. Paris tried to make it seem like you are buying largely discounted dresses, but being in there I just got the feeling that I was being scammed. The dress materials are less than satisfactory. You get what you pay for I guess. Unfortunately for me, I was desperate to find a prom dress and after looking for so long I just settled. I don't suggest anyone else do the same. read more

This is a HORRIBLE store with a store policy that discriminates. Their imaginary store policy stated by the employee is you have to be 18 or with a parent to try on dresses. No where is this posted. A friends daughter that was 18, was told she could only try on one dress because she needed a parent with her. What other store does this? She had money to purchase a prom dress but I guess they didn't want her business. She wasn't with a group of girls goofing off trying on the dresses for fun but a customer that wanted to purchase a dress. When her parents called asking for an explanation they told them they were too busy to talk to them and to call another day! REALLY???? I have a daughter that is getting ready for High School but we will never shop there. Paris I have a feeling with your policies you won't be in business long! read more

DO NOT EVER SHOP IN THE STORE CALLED PARIS IN CUMBERLAND MALL! My 18 year old daughter was shopping for a prom dress last Sunday. Enters this store and is told she has to be 18 to try on dresses or have an adult present. She is asked where her mother is and answers, she isn't with me. They proceeded to tell her she can try on one dress and that is it. Seriously! Are you kidding me? What happened to customer service? She is an adult with money to spend. THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE LOCATION AT SUGARLOAF MILLS MALL. Unfortunately I could not find the Paris at Sugarloaf Mills on Yelp.com so I have to write my review under this location, but as I previously stated this review is based on an experience I had at the Paris in Sugarloaf Mills. Absolute worst dress store I've ever been to!!! I normally don't write reviews, but you all definitely deserved one after my horrible experience at your store. I took my sisters prom dress shopping at the location in Sugarloaf Mills and had a horrible experience!!! On our first visit, not only were we not greeted when we walked in, but the younger girl working there looked at us like she was confused about why we were in there. Even though it was awkward, we still went in and looked at dresses. After my sisters found a dress they liked, they wanted to try it on but before we could even ask the sales associate for help she shouted "hey you can't try that on, we're about to close". Mind you it was only 8:20pm and they're closing time clearly says 9:00pm. I asked her why my sister couldn't try the dress on and she gave some bs about how there wasn't enough time because they were closing at 8:45pm that night. I still felt like she would've had plenty of time to slip a dress on and back off, but didn't want to make an issue, so we left. The next day we decided to stop by again. This time around 7pm just to ensure yesterday's issue wouldn't be an issue today. Not surprisingly, we walked in and again were not greeted; apparently the young girl felt fixing her hair in the mirror was more important than saying "hello" to her customers. I was again irritated by this, but my sisters still needed dresses so I ignored her nasty attitude and decided to give it another shot. After about 15 mins one of my sisters found a dress she wanted to try on. The sales associate brought the dress down, but then started asking us how old we were. My sister is 17 and I am 22. She informed us you had to be 18 or older to try on dresses but said she would let her try on one dress since I was 22. I asked if she was "allowed" to try on more than one dress and she said she had to ask her mom. When the mom came up she was very rude in her tone and asked who was 22. I let her know I was and she went on to ask me if I was going to be responsible for any damages that may happen to the dress. I literally stumbled on my words for a sec. because I could not believe she was really asking me this lol. All she was going to do was slip the dress on and off. After letting her know this, she was still very rude and basically insisted that I say "Yes I will be responsible"; so before things got any further I told her not to worry about it and walked out. What sense does it make to have a policy that doesn't allow girls younger than 18 to try on PROM dresses? It's a store for PROM dresses, which is a highschool event lol. Save your money, go somewhere else and deal with people who actually want to deal with you. read more

Being currently 8 months pregnant and having to search for the perfect dress for my daughters Senior prom is a tough feat, I thought we hit the jack pot going to one store, many of beautiful dresses, great prices, unfortunately they kicked us out after she only tried on 5 dresses. The guy actually came up to me and said "no more, you have to go, she has tried on too many dresses" I was mortified, there I am wanting and needing to spend my hard earned money and to make my daughter happy and we were told we had to go. I can see if we were disrespectful and throwing dresses around but that isn't the case. I will and I highly recommend you go somewhere else unless you know exactly what you want within the first 5 dresses you try on. But there is a happy ending, we wound up going to A Formal Occasion on Bells Ferry and found the absolute perfect dress, the people were so incredibly helpful and didn't kick us out for trying to find the perfect dress. read more

I am a mother of 2 teenaged daughters, and recently went to this store with the intent of buying a prom dress. We were assisted by a very nice lady whom I believe to be the wife or a relative of the male proprietor. After selecting a dress that my daughter liked, we realized that she needed a larger size. The assistant stated that we could order the dress, but when we approached the register the owner said that we couldn't do so. I asked him to call the company, and informed him that I was willing to pay extra. He then said: "Okay! I can order it for you (no phone call was ever made)". He then stated that the charge for this would be $100 more that the price of the (same) dress in the store. Again, all I needed was 1 size larger--and I'm not talking about a "plus size" or out-of stock sized dress. I looked at him incredulously, and told him that I would NEVER pay $100 more for the exact same dress. He never even looked back at me or made a counter offer. He then started to hang the dress up again. I am a professional who travelled from Fayette county to this mall with the sole purpose of PURCHASING a dress that day. I cannot belive the callous, rude, and dismissive behavior of this person. I cannot believe that he would think that consumers would allow him to price gouge the community. I would NEVER, EVER recommend this store to anyone!! All buyers beware!!!!!! read more
