"What is that, velvet or something??"…read more Yes, girls, it is velvet. Velvet, that is. One of my favoritest brands of tees and light dresses and tops. And Luna is stocked to the gills with Velvet pretties for their early spring selections. So many cute choices. I love the cotton softness of Velvet's pieces and there are cool new designs out now, from tanks and tees in flowy shapes that I haven't seen from them before, to updated versions of the long sleeve wraps they had the past few seasons. Also out this season are cute tops with kind of crocheted necklines and great dresses that I could totally wear to work or out on a casual patio afternoon in the sun! I got sucked into one of the boutique's sales: "Buy one item at full price, get two more items free." Or something like that. I ended up purchasing an expensive Free People sweater (lavender rabbit fur with two white buttons to undo the neckline, along with lace over the shoulders, complemented by multi-colored stitching). For free, I chose a pair of hippie-flower gauchos (which are so out of style now and already were out the door at the time) and a very mod, block-color skirt. I still wear the sweater and skirt, so I'd say I fell for a pretty sweet deal. I must agree with Lauren S. that the clothing, overall, reminds me of sorority girls and their stay-at-home mothers. But, sprinkled among the Phi Mu mess are cool styles, reminiscent of Free People funk. I am most fond of the Bilthouse's pieces of decor--or at least when I shopped there last. I couldn't help myself and bought a folk art butterfly, with a chair leg body and rusted iron wings. This place is rather pricey but is worth a look if you're in the Buckhead area on a much-needed shopping binge.

In general, she says she always finds something that's good quality and a good value, and customer service is good. She described Nordstrom Rack as, "like a higher-end T.J. Maxx." Some examples of items she's purchased here include Stuart Weitzman shoes (her wedding shoes; they're beautiful), Madewell sweaters and T-shirts (lots of T-shirts), a French Connection sweater, a Theory dress (one of my favorites; she's worn it to my company's holiday party and to one of her company's events), and NEST New York scented candles (they smell good). Another reason she likes Nordstrom Rack is because she can return both Nordstrom Rack and regular Nordstrom items. Convenient. During our last visit, employee Marquis was fantastic. At checkout, my wife didn't know her Nordstrom credit card expired. Marquis got her on the phone with someone who helped her take care of everything. She was still able to get her Nordy Club points and Notes (loyalty rewards). This Nordstrom Rack is located in Buckhead, just off Georgia 400 Exit 2, near Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza. It's in Buckhead Station, a two-story shopping center. On the weekends, Buckhead Station gets crowded and there are longer lines at Nordstrom Rack. During peak times, I suggest parking on the lower level where there is plenty of parking and no congestion. This Nordstrom Rack opened in 2010. It's the only Nordstrom Rack inside the perimeter.
