I told them and they stated "not to talk about other care aides because we don't know the story and maybe the client was just "confused" .... No, this client was not always confused. She stated it happened numerous times. . The staff member leaving early many times was a family member of one of the "higher ups." In office. I was just Wanting CLARITY, I did not like my client being taken advantage of. After being told by my manager that I can ask anything, "please communicate all your worries we are here to support you, at anytime, no matter what it was'" QUOTE. I Had clients AND HOURS taken away because I cared too much numerous times I was told. "I WAS TOO INVESTED". too stressed out, and needed a break from the client Translation: I was placing clients happiness and needs above the company's policies and catching things they were doing that I felt were not serving my clients best interests. Let's just say if you put your clients needs and wants first and above anything else and you make sure they all love you and adore your care, you'll get fired. And forget buying them a coffee with your own money, or accepting a coffee from them because they insist on buying you one, or even a small gift for their birthday, Those are considered "gifts" and are not Allowed. When I was interviewed they made it sound like it was amazing. 'You are there to make your clients feel happy and do extra things, we are nothing like Fraser health, we do so much more." Worked there 9 months are got tossed out like trash. They don't care about clients like they stated, "we go above and beyond" No they don't ... they care about profit and making sure they follow every single rule, despite it not being in the client's best interests. I'm very disappointed with how they treated me. I went above and beyond for my clients. They fired me with no warning. Without even a conversation about it. My care designer didn't even contact me to explain why. Absolutely heartless...and all right after one of my clients husbands died and she was attached to me and this is the last thing she needed, losing me as well. I appreciated the hours and then trying to pair clients personalities to the care aides. But after this misinformation being told I can communicate and talk about" anything "and then being fired for it??? I'm just stunned. And highly disappointed. They protect their company above anything else. Nothing was dealt with properly when I had questions, the care designer previously would tell me one thing, and the other staff would contadict it. Clients care plans needed things added and removed, wasn't done. Suggestions id make to make the clients lives easier, no,"cant be done" so many loose ends. Leaving us confused. I also relayed that certain care aides needed clarity and was told not to discuss other staff. It was so strange how certain things were hushed when all I was trying to do was make sure we were all on the same page, we weren't. I just had my clients best care in mind. I was treated unfairly. I was not told why I was terminated. I will never recommend nurse next door to anyone and I really liked my clients and I wish more care aides were as full of love and heart like I was. Many of their aides are there to do bare minimum and leave. Many eat lunch alone in clients home and don't sit with the client. Texting on their phones. Falling asleep on the sofa, leaving early mid shift and coming back later. letting the client walk to their barn by themselves and falling in a stall between horses, while the aide sits in the house. So many stories I was told about, by clients or their family. Care Aide stated they washed the clients floor when they didn't even touch it according to client and family member. When I brought it up to my care designer .they stated "we will deal with it and maybe family was wrong. I said I know it wasn't washed because I washed it 3x to get the water to run clear! I was told" don't gossip about what other aides do or don't do", when I called the gossip being honest and calling out lies. That same care aide that let a client fall in their barn and didn't wash the clients floor and writing in the notes that she did, she still had a job after puting a client's life at risk?...explain that to me.. So much favoritism. The Aide that allowed my client to fall in his barn, he had balance issues and should never have been allowed to walk alone that far. Yet I, who cared for my clients before my own needs, got fired. That's where I went wrong, you have to get " in there" in order to have serious wrongs you've done "overlooked". I was actually over qualified with my certificates and years of experience. But I stayed, because I loved my clients.

Two weeks later, I returned, and another doctor said I could take off the boot and start walking, giving me a brochure with warm-up exercises. I told him my leg hurt and I couldn't walk. He looked at the first X-ray and saw a second fracture. I was sent for another X-ray, which confirmed the fracture. The second doctor was shocked that the previous one hadn't noticed the fracture. As a result, I spent two months in a boot and on crutches, even though I had been sent home earlier, assured that it was an illusion and not a fracture. I don't recommend this place.

My appointment with this clinic and doctor, was a first time experience, and required that I check into the hospital's 'Registration' on the main floor before proceding to the Medical Day Care Clinic. A first time appointment procedure to provide personal and medical information, and acquire a completed registration form to take to Medical Day Care and doctor's office for check in. After the form was completed I was able to go down to Medical Day Care - Hematology, located on the basement level of the hospital, and submit the form to attending office staff. And then waited along with others, in the hall's adjoining waiting area outside the office, for my appointment time with the doctor. The Physician, Dr Vicky Chan (Hematologist), conducted a very interesting, and highly-interactive discussion with me of the reports she had received from my family doctor, and medical lab. Many questions regarding the nature of the diagnosed medical condition were asked, and answered. I left her office with a medical lab requisition to acquire further, and more extensive blood analyses -- just in case previous tests had missed any factors involved in the blood condition as shown. A big thank you to Dr Chan for her caring personal approach and help. And thanks to all other staff for their friendly, and efficient services - every step along the way was handled so smoothly.

I came here for the original consult in August and felt that Dr. Jin Huh was really professional. I was a little nervous because he was very firm when he was checking my teeth but I realized I'd rather have someone with steady hands that is confident with what they're doing than for him to be gentle and flaky. They gave me a quote for the 5 teeth, and then sent a request for approval to my insurer. I opted out of the IV sedation and figured I should be able to tolerate the anxiety on my own. The appointment lasted about 45 minutes, I'm still in the process of healing now, Dr Jin Huh is friendly and you can tell that he knows what he's doing. Prices were reasonable for the extractions that I had done, and the receptionist did her due diligence to check with my insurance company on how payment should be taken (assignment) before I went in for the extractions. All in all I had a great experience (I mean as great as it can be to have 5 teeth removed in one go!) and the office is pretty relaxing. Soft slow music that would put you to sleep if your mouth wasn't wide open and frozen haha and there's cool action figures all over the office. I would recommend Dr. Jin Huh to people who have out of the ordinary extractions or anxiety about dental work!

I was referred to North Shore Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by Richmond Oral and Facial Surgery…read more My oral surgeon was Dr. Richard Chau. I came here to remove an infected rotten molar tooth. At first, I was really anxious and nervous because I had a painful experience with another tooth removal from somewhere else. Dr. Chau's staff on the phone reassured me and outlined me the options and pricing, regarding sedation or no sedation and put me at ease. The ladies at his front desk were so professional, patient and kind with me on the phone and in-person. In the end, I opted for no-sedation last minute because my dental insurance ran out so I had to save money as I am not employed anymore (lost my job due to Covid staffing cuts). Dr. Chau's front desk staff and a nurse were so kind and professional to me. I felt very welcome there. When it was time for my tooth removal, I was very nervous. Dr. Chau talked me through the removal, he said "I'm going to do this, and I will do this" and then in literally 2 seconds, he said, "Ok and it is out." I said, "What? That's it?" I was so surprised at how fast and smooth the extraction happened! I recommend to everyone that it is better if you get your tooth removed by an oral surgeon, since they have the expertise to do it correctly and quickly. I wish I had chosen an oral surgeon earlier like Dr. Chau to remove my other tooth too. Anyway, I have rebooked Dr. Chau to remove my next tooth, and I have confidence and much less fear now of getting a tooth extraction. I also found out that we can self-refer ourselves here. I had my dentist refer me for my 1st extraction, then I self-referred myself for my 2nd extraction. I highly recommend Dr Richard Chau and the polite professional staff here!
