Updated: If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Myself and a few others ive talked to feel like they will lie to your face during the application process and tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you to sign. Once you sign, you no longer matter. I can only personally refer to experience with my leasing agent, Beatrice and managers Lily and Lavita--communication with them has been dismissive or completely unresponsive. The move-in process was absolute HELL. They changed my move-in date TWICE, including just TWO DAYS before I was supposed to move in, and then communication stopped. When I finally got the apartment, it was dirty, rushed, and the paint job looked like a bad DIY project. I couldn't back out because I had already signed the move-in intent--breaking it would have cost me DOUBLE the rent. I felt trapped. They do not care about tenants at all. They ignore phone calls, emails, and even some maintenance requests unless you threaten legal action. I literally had to threaten to call the Fire Marshal and code enforcement just to get them to handle basic things they are legally required to fix. Im referring to major issues not petty little stuff. I've even tried contacting corporate, but they only have an answering service to take messages--and I've never gotten a single response. Maintenance is a disaster. I've had AC issues more than once, and one time it took FIVE WEEKS to repair because instead of properly fixing it, they kept knowingly putting temporary band-aid fixes on the problem to avoid spending money on the actual part. One of the maintenance guys said that directive came from the manager at the office. "She doesn't want to spend money on the part". It became normal for Maintenance to tell me, "I need to get a part, I'll be right back," and then I wouldn't see or hear from them again for DAYS. I had to email and submit multiple duplicate work orders just to get any kind of update, and most of the time I got no response at all--or maintenance would show up with an attitude bc I put in another work order. They have also closed out work orders just because I wasn't home when they randomly showed up, (they dont schedule or let you know when they are coming) including one time when they were supposed to check leak stains from the apartment above me. Instead of rescheduling or contacting me, they just closed the order like the problem magically disappeared. They close work orders out without finishing the repairs, like they get paid based on how fast a work order is closed--not whether the problem is actually fixed. I had ongoing AC and heat problems, and maintenance disconnected my HVAC and left me with NO heat and a broken window when it was 29 degrees outside. No warning. No timeline. No care. This is only a small piece of what I've gone through. I know it's cheaper than a lot of other places, but I promise--you will HATE it here. I could add much more with specific examples, but I'd run out of space. *The only good thing I can say is that I met two new maintenance guys today--Jeremy and David--and they were the best experience I've had since moving here. They actually cared, communicated, and tried to help. David is a brand new supervisor, and he came to my apartment on his own time because he was told I was upset. He wanted to personally introduce himself and make sure my heater was getting fixed. Jeremy had the best personality I've seen in a long time--he truly would have done whatever it took to get our heat back working. If they replace the toxic and unprofessional employees, maybe there will be hope for real change. I just hope they dont run off the new guys.. If you are thinking about moving to PARC@980--DON'T. Save yourself the money, stress, and regret. Go anywhere else. read more

Wow!!! 4/10-4/11 and the GYM is LOCKED from the inside!!! Getting maintenance on the line is IMPOSSIBLE but WHY would the community lock the gym??? If you are closing the gym to repair the equipment or fix the air conditioning, maybe send a note to the residents. Do I think that's the case? No. I just think they did that to be spiteful because somebody in the rental office definitely locked that door because it can only be locked from the inside. They don't care about residents at ALL. I have been here so long and things just continue to get worse. The gate has not worked for weeks, the gym has no air conditioning and half the equipment doesn't work, the pet care center nor the car care center work and I don't know if they've ever worked, it's very difficult getting maintenance to come to the apartment for assistance. They close the request before they come. In the eight years I've been here, my rent has never been late. On the 3rd of this month, I received five emails at one time. Yes, five emails saying my rent had to be paid. Upon calling the office, I was told it was an error and my rent had already been taken out as it had been for the previous eight years automatically by the community. FIVE emails were not necessary. My windows have been broken since 2022 which means I can't open the windows in my apartment. I was told that a vendor had measured and would be replacing the windows yet, 3 years later, I still don't have windows. The air conditioning brakes regularly. It's probably been broken at least 12 times in the time I have been here and it always takes forever to get repaired. I also wish that there were screens in the porch doors or that the porch doors did not open to the outside because you can't even add a screen and there are no windows in the bedroom because there's a door for the porch. I do not have maintenance concerns often but rent is way too expensive to not have those concerns addressed when they do come up. I have been waiting on someone to come and look at my air conditioner since yesterday evening and it was well above 80° outside. They closed my request instead of coming to assist. They send emails all the time about not having your trash can out in front of your door well, my entire building always has their trash cans out and nothing is ever done about it. Once I saw all the good reviews of this place, I decided to move from Florida with my two kids. On Saturday we moved in, paid what we had to pay and the apartment was not 100% ready, it did not have our washer or dryer (mind you we have had this apartment booked since April). To make a long story short everyday something else went wrong, by yesterday we had a leak in our plumbing area where they had supposedly came earlier to fix them. by yesterday night time we heard an explosion, and the apartment started to flood with water and we had to call 911 and turns out it was one of the pipes they had "fixed". Now our living conditions are bad, we have 3 big fans in our way, wet carpet, and it smells moldy and gross. And the manager gave us excuses on why they cant move us to a different unit. But Beatrice was nice and welcoming through the whole process. read more

Do not move here! None of your concerns will be addressed, I sent this email to the property manager October 6, 2023. Do you think they've cared to respond? Of course not, they receive their rent every month. Spiders are hanging from the breezeways and when you ask for pest control that we pay for they say they are going to pressure wash the breezeways, that was 2 months ago. Honestly they have improved. I've lived her more than 6 years the past 2 were horrible, with the front office staff. but recently they have been transferred or let go. the new staff cares and are amazing willing to help instead of ignoring you and being rude. they have improved the gates. the maintenance have improved, with new management they are still the same but now work better do to being informed constantly. I had a leak and reported it the next day they came and took 3 days to fix. With the old management it took them over a year to fix the mold problem. mostly cuz the front office had a vendetta. but I love the improvements hope it gets better. Also miss Beatrice is the best employee. been there for a while and always goes out her way to help. read more

DO NOT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS!!!. That place has gone downhill fast!!!. Dirty property, garbage everywhere, gates are always open, that is some "security", people speed through the complex, and the pools are constantly breaking down. Last year they were open 2 weeks. The internet is sketchy at best, you are "sharing" with about a thousand other people and it is included in your rent; so you can't opt out. MIGHT BE A SCAM ... BEWARE ... Read all of the bad reviews and believe them. especially Google, FB, and ApartmentRatings.com ... The apartment was for my son, but I am the guarantor and it's on my AMEX Platinum Card. Especially pay attention to Apartmentratings.com, Facebook reviews on Parc @980 FB-page, and on Google. What I feel was a Bait and Switch started with Christine, who is mentioned in other reviews. She showed us a beautiful apartment and glowing picture of the complex. AND she gave us the apartment number. My credit score is an 832 and I am affluent. So, of course, we were approved immediately, but all of a sudden it started dragging out and (as all of their reviews seem to say) She never seems to answer phones or return calls and messages. We emailed, we wanted to know, "What's taking so long?" Christine finally called back and said we were approved, but then the next day we said, "Where's the contract?" Something was starting to stink. The next day she called me and said she needed my paystubs. Paystubs? I am a corporate president and I offered her the documents from my investment portfolio. (a lot of money) She said yesterday it was approved and now she needs 'Paystubs on Me'? Then she said her manager waived the paystubs. We emailed again. We're 3 days until move in date and we have been stalling my son's movers. It's really beginning to sound fishy. What's going on??? Then today, move-in date minus -2, Christine calls and tells my son that there was a 'Problem' with the unit that we were promised, and they were moving us to another unit which was exactly the same. NOW, my bullcrap alarm is going off. So, I told my son we're going over there to look at the New Unit. I don't think Christine expected us to show up to look at the switch unit that she told us it was exactly the same. She called on the phone and said she was going to lunch and told us "Don't come for a couple of hours. SO, we waited and came when we were asked, but Christine was busy for 45 more minutes and told us to wait because she was evidently handling resident problems (quite a few waiting), and then she finally came out and said that the keys to the unit were missing, and some vendor had taken them home. Excuse me, did I mention I am a corporate president, or did I say I was the Village Moron? Of course, they have master keys. Would anybody believe that? We Left ... and I sent her an email "We Want Our Money Back." (for the credit check and dog deposit) AND, I will get it. They checked our credit under what I believe was false pretenses. In my opinion, this appeared to be maybe some kind of Bait and switch Scam of some kind. Certainly, it was suspicious. The strange thing is, I read all of the 100's of online reviews, on ApartmentRatings.com and Facebook, and here on Google, and it' seems to be a pattern. Other people seem to be complaining about the appearance of similar tactics, switches etc. Christine's name came up several times. Many similar stories. I read horror story after horror story, some of it was routine complaints, a recurring theme is that the Internet doesn't work, health club equipment doesn't work, they don't answer their phones (we know that), maintenance is bad, they don't collect the garbage, and etc. The main thing is other people were describing similar experiences. MY ADVICE, READ THE REVIEWS AND TOUR THE APARTMENT AGAIN BEFORE YOU SIGN HERE. BE SUSPICIOUS! Even though the place is beautiful, and the price was reasonable. SCAM! I vacated my apartment on Oct. 2023 with notice and on the month my contract ended and they are still trying to bill me. This is the worse place I've ever lived, poor quality of life. Constant annoyances from bugs, day to day maintenance coming in and out of your apartment, fire alarm going off constantly, broken security gates, dirty unusable pools. Rude AF managers, they will tow your car if you park in front of your own garage! You don't really want to live here, nothing good will come from moving in here. What I find even more amazing is how the company has responded only to the complaint that ran from the company business tactics... since knowledge and customer service is something they lack! But did not once reach out to tenants with issues. That isn't only good customer relations but it should also help them to realize word of mouth goes a long way especially with an industry that is everywhere and competitive! We have apartments on every corner but they'd rather say that they are sorry and they don't operate this way or that! That's really funny. Because again just today they emailed the community regarding the key to our mailbox. Maybe the reason they never resolve problems is because they are oblivious to what day it is! They keep saying it's been only one month since we have had to be inconvenienced by going to the post office to pick up our mail... REALLY? It's been well at three months if not longer! SMH. Come on guys you got to do better than that! Maybe while you are trying to get us our keys you can be working on that pressure washing thing y'all promised us four months ago and third time around and still haven't done it! It's an embarrassment having anyone visit when all they mention is the filthy breezeway and the stench of a garbage truck from trash service who drag bags and leave it where we get to live in its path. I wish I could give zero stars but i have no other choice then to give it 1 star. I want to start off by saying that this 12 month lease was the worst 12 months of my life literally since the first day we moved in!! I pay for pest control monthly and trash valet and I've had the worst experience I've been trying to get pest control for my apartment for the last 6-7 months and everything they tell me they'll come out on Thursday never did for 7 months my apartment is literally infested! My kitchen had caught fire once and they lasted like 3 months to come and fix it mind you the microwave is still burnt they said they'll come replace it which they never did. Besides that the trash people let the trash pile up at your door and if you're on the third floor forget about it they won't be getting your trash. Staircases are super dirty and super unsanitary the staff at leasing office never pick up the phone and could never solve an issue completely.Mind you they want you to put a 300k insurance on the apartment before you move in! For what ? This place is super sh**ty I rather go back to New York and live with the rats. So for that being said if you want to live good DO NOT MOVE HERE. read more

Recently My A/C unit was broken my apartment was 85 degrees and only 3 of my 7 windows open are dirty and cracked (made the complaint when I 1st moved in nothing happened). I have chronic allergies and asthma. It took almost 48 hours for me to get it looked at and I had to walk the premises and find the maintenance myself who had no intention on coming to fix it and it still isn't fixed (he was extremely concerned and considerate once he was mad aware of my isssue)after repeatedly telling the rental office. I've lived here for almost a year and the gate to the community is never closed so anyone is welcome to come into the neighborhood and do god forbid whatever . We pay for a 24hour gym with broken to no equipment and is locked at 530 everyday. The bathroom floor is not placed properly so it's raised creating a space between it in the tub so roaches easily coming in and out off. The bathroom tub peels and the tile peels .Whenever there's a complaint you're met with passive aggression emails or nonchalant attitudes and not empathy, they don't update you or apologize for the poor service. We pay for community internet that barely works I had to purchase a hotspot from AT&T with my own money and valet trash that's never picked up which attracts wild life and bugs who chew holes in the trash bag then valet doesn't take the trash for "hole in bag violation"and they only power wash the front of the community to attract more tenants.Little to no electrical socket work in the unit and no one ever comes to fix anything or cares. Moved here in august and still haven't had the things fixed I asked for. It looks like luxury apartments but operates like low income housing extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate to their tenants for the amount of money you have to pay to live here.
