Here's why I thought I…read morereceived top-notch service: - Responsive -- Abdul responded to inquiries, emails, and updates quickly. - Hassle-free -- We established a price and it was fixed; no bait-and-switch, no hidden surcharges. - Flexible -- My evening arrival flight was delayed by more than 4 hours, stretching well into the middle of the night. Abdul tracked my flight, we stayed in touch, and he was right there ready to pick me up as we discussed. - Safe -- Abdul is a safe driver. Reasonable speed (not slow but not too fast); no sudden turns; no abrupt braking. It was a smooth ride because he drove well and paid attention. And he was definitely not checking his phone while driving other than to glance at navigation toward the end of the trip once we got deeper into my neighborhood. - Clean and Comfortable -- his car was very comfortable and impeccably clean. He made sure to provide bottled water for his passengers just in case. - Accommodating -- we didn't need to stop, but he let me know upfront that (despite our many hours of delay) he would be happy to make any stops I requested. He also made sure I was comfortable with the temperature and music levels before we got going. When I need a car service again, I am definitely sticking with Abdul.

I noticed not that many times to choose from going to Davis from Sacramento. We missed the 2 pm. We had to wait almost an hour and half until the next one. We bought our tickets then realized no one told us where we actually get onto the train. Our friend went back in..at the ticket booth the man that helped us was very nice and very helpful. He gave the kids coloring books and pins. Finally on the train it was bumper then I remembered, moved around a lot reminded me being on boat. Can not have bags or luggage out on tables or seats. I think we got called out, but we weren't sure since it was over the load speaker. We had a small bag it had food and snacks in it. We put into the over head. We went to check out the food car. So the kids could feel what it was like to walk from car to car..the food car was mostly over priced snacks. Canned, bottled drinks and packs of chips or nuts. When we arrived in Davis. They said over the loud speaker they do not stop for to long you need to get off so get ready. We couldn't open the over head to get our bag back out. It was stuck. Other passengers helped us open it, they said you really need to pull it hard. Once off the train the Davis train station and building looked so old and run down..so sad looking compared to Sacramento station. We didn't know no one would be there to buy return tickets. But they do offer more times leaving back to Sacramento. We purchased online. We had many people asking if they were in the right place while we were waiting. Davis such a cute town seems like they would clean up the station areas.

Not here!!!! I arrived at the train station, paid for my ticket already through the app. Unfortunately, my Lyft was late, and I got there with about seven minutes to spare. I went to the ticket counter to confirm that I can just get on the train because I had purchased a ticket through the app. The ticket clerk told me that I wasn't gonna make the train, because it takes about five minutes to get to the actual location where the train leaves. I quickly went outside to see if they had a Lime scooter and was told that I could not take the Lime scooter through the tunnel, which is how you get to the location. I asked her if there was anyway I could go all the way around like on the city streets and she said that the tunnel was the only way to get to the platform. She was letting everybody know who started to run over there. They're not gonna make it either. Both employees were not friendly at all. I went back into the station to see if I could get a refund or possibly get a ticket for a later time. Sat down and looked at my app, and it said my train actually departed late. The next one wasn't for two hours. If you ever go to this location, ignore what they say because at the end of the day there's no way for them to foresee if the train is gonna be sitting there for a few more minutes!!!! I saw a woman helping another customer so I asked her if she was a manager and she let me know she was a supervisor, her name was Christina.. I told her what the experience I just had was, and she could care less, her facial expression was so stern. They all lack customer service and being friendly! Funny thing, I should never even apologized after she reimburse me for my trip.

Beats traffic, parking, and other hassles in the city if you prefer not to deal with those things. The driver on the way there was a lot less weird than the one we had coming back to Sac. No talking to herself and to traffic, etc. My charger outlet worked. I was happy. It took us less than an hour and a half to get to San Francisco from Sacramento, without the bother of parking and traffic. Effortless. Cost was around $13 one way. Our bus wasn't crowded at all. Were they Amish? We never did find out. The comfortable air conditioning vents helped with the armpit smell that wafted from...places... It doesn't pick up over at the bus hub on 65th anymore (University/65th Lightrail station). Instead you'll need to grab megabus from under the freeway, on 6th between W & X. There will be a queue to tip you off.

I did a little research and found the Megabus website with a pick up at the 65th Bus station in Sacramento with a drop off in San Francisco on Townsend between 4th and 5th street. That might be a perfect situation for those going to the Giants game as it lets off literally a few blocks from AT&T Park. We chose the 9:30am bus with a 11:30am arrival in Sn Francisco. Research noted that you cue up in line as most (but not all) seats are first come first served. We arrived 30 min ahead and were 5th and 6th in line. The bus arrived at 9:10and we were on by 9:10. Reserved seats can be purchased for an additional $1 fee as well. There are Table and front row seats for $5 or $7 more as well. Bus is clean, comfortable. We sat on the upper level, with a nice view. The only negative for me is that the bus ride is "soft". What I mean is that our bus had that Cadillac soft rolling feel and was slowly rocking up and down with every bump in the road. So for those of you that get car sick easily, you have been forewarned. Reservations are done online, and the process is incredibly easy. For $9 plus the $1 reservation fee for this trip, I found it a great deal. Plus not having to drive, free wi fi, no toll made the trip well worth it. Food is allowed on bus, and there is a restroom on board as well. I'll be back to use on the next day game for the Giants!

I came here to volunteer, and to my surprise, there were even younger kids participating. I learned that the minimum volunteer age is 10 years old. Some students were volunteering for school service hours, while others came through different companies and organizations. We joined the second shift from 1pm-4pm. The session started shortly after 1pm with a briefing and task assignments from the group leader. All tasks were explained clearly. The leaders checked on us throughout the shift to make sure we were doing okay and to see if anyone had concerns. Halfway through the shift, we had a 15-minute break, and one of the leaders brought ice cream to celebrate a volunteer's birthday and shared it with everyone. I thought it was a meaningful way to celebrate a birthday while helping a good cause. We actually finished around 3:30pm, and our shift completed: - 5,451 lbs of food packed - 474 boxes prepared for the "No Student Goes Hungry" program supporting students from elementary school through college in Sacramento County. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and the facility was clean and organized. Restroom: clean, bright, and decent. If you are interested in volunteering, check out their website and register in advance.

Within all of this stuff, was a bunch of new and lightly used clothing. In the past I have donated clothing to my local Goodwill Express. However, I did some reflection and realized that all of the clothing that I donated was being sold for profit. Going forward, my intention was to donate to an organization that receives the donation(s) and distributes them to underprivileged individuals/families free of charge. Some research led me to the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. Upon calling to verify their hours (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10am-1pm and Wednesday, 4pm-7pm), I gathered all of the clothing and hit the road on a mission to make a difference. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a Sacramento Food Bank employee who eagerly began to load my clothing donations onto a cart. Since a lot of the clothing consisted of dress pants and dress slacks, he proceeded to inform me about a program called "Job Smart Clothing." Job Smart Clothing is a program within Sacramento Food Bank that provides career appropriate apparel for underprivileged individuals interviewing for employment or currently employed. How cool is that? I'm not a representative for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. However, I will say that they provide an awesome service to the community, and that a little donation goes a long way (individuals who benefit from their services often leave with 15-20 pieces of clothing per visit). Before you throw away that piece of clothing that you think is out of style or doesn't quite hug your curves the way that they used to, think about donating it to the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services!
