This review is long overdue. I had two separate services with Casey last summer (a haircut and a vivids service) and both experiences were so great. I had never dyed my hair before, but Casey checked in with me every step of the way--making sure that I was happy during the entire process. She also gave me tips on how to refresh the color in between visits to the salon. The end result was lovely and I still get compliments on it today! The salon itself was extremely clean and all employees took care to clean and sanitize everything in between customers. I was very apprehensive about doing anything to my hair, but I'd trust Casey with my hair any day. I'm planning on booking another service soon--I can't recommend them enough. :) read more

My friend recommended paramount pampering to me awhile back, and I went there last year to get a partial balayage done. Julie was my stylist and she did a really nice job on my hair - would definitely recommend her. It's been a couple months since I got my hair done, and it still looks beautiful! I really wanted my hair to look naturally lightened and Julie did a really good job making it look like that. It took a couple of hours (~4) to finish my hair, but was definitely worth the time. For partial balayage + extra bowl of lightener + blowout it ended up being $196. The only thing that surprised me was the extra bowl of lightener (an extra $55), but my hair is super long. If you have similar length hair and need to lighten your hair, just be prepared. Would definitely recommend paramount pampering and can't wait to get my hair touched up when coronavirus is over. read more

I have been to Paramount Pampering a handful of times already over the past few years. Everyone is kind and the salon is decorated very nicely. They always offer me something to drink and they make sure you're comfortable the whole time! I've seen a few different hair stylists but my last few visits I have been scheduled with Casey! Casey is awesome and super friendly and her work is amazing :) She puts up with my super thick hair and manages to bring my hair back to life. The pictures I've provided are from last year. It's also great that the salon and its staff have a strong social media presence which really helped me in choosing the services and color I like. Don't come here for haircuts. I think they specialize more in coloring. I'm taking the time to write a review since I was misled by the past reviews on Yelp. The woman who cut my hair was nice and the salon had a good atmosphere, but I got a terrible haircut. I asked for a 1-1.5in trim and long layers with face framing 2in past my chin. She cut off 4in and gave me SHORT layers (shortest layer was a few in from my scalp) and cut curtain bangs even though I specifically asked her not to. The face framing doesn't blend into the the rest of the haircut so it looks like random long pieces are sticking out. Basically, she just ignored everything I asked her to do and did what she wanted. When I confronted her about it, she said it was just because the hair was wet... I don't think I would even trust them to fix it since she already cut off so much hair. They also normally charge extra for drying your hair after wet cut, but she took that charge off for me. read more

Today I received a full balayage and blowdry from Casey. She did initially tell me it may be tough to get the color I wanted (caramel/ Blonde balayage) since my hair was recently box dyed to cover up my old color. Nonetheless I am satisfied with my hair! Didn't come out as the picture I showed her of someone I knew who gets their hair colored here routinely, and it actually came out looking more like highlights towards the bottom back in my opinion (not sure if that is because my hair was initially dark black and box dyed) but I am still super happy with the new look and will definitely come back to get my hair to the lighter tone I am looking for! I went to this salon with virgin hair! I was both nervous and excited on the day I came to this salon. Ahlyza was recommended by a coworker of mine and she did a wonderful job with giving me a full balayage! The staff were all very friendly and nice and the salon's interior is modern and fabulous! I had my balayage on St. Paddy's day... it's been almost 4 months and I haven't gone back for a glaze/touch-up because I'm still saving up but I still get compliments on my balayage up to this day, and some even ask if I just had it done again. *You have to take care of your hair and use the right products to keep your hair healthy and make the color last. You can't always put the blame on the stylist when your hair goes berserk a couple of months after you had your color session ‍. Sheesh. I recommend this salon and of course my girl Ahlyza. This salon saved my hair! Ive gone from brunette to highlights and back for about the past six years. Last summer after frying my hair for the billionth time, I promised I would never bleach any strand of My hair ever again....until I heard about Ahlyza here at Paramount Pampering. I nervously booked an appointment and began to emotionally prepare myself for what I thought was going to be another "frying" of my hair. One of my friends had gone from dark brown to almost platinum blonde and I couldn't understand how her hair was still silly smooth and shiny. After asking her what she did to it, she told about the services she got here with Ahlyza and insisted that I add Olaplex to my hair services. Anyway, I was SUPER nervous because my hair was finally healthy again and here I was taking another chance at a balayage. I walked into the salon and it was just beautiful inside! The receptionist greeted me and offered me something to drink and about ten minutes later, I was in my chair getting consulted by Ahlyza. Out of my entire experience, this was the hardest part because she was telling me how much I was going to pay. It was about $140 for the full balayage, $65 for the cut and blowout, $40 for the Olaplex my friend told me I needed to get, and $25 extra for my hair length. $270. However when I hesitated Ahlyza reminded me that this is an investment in my hair and my hair will thank me after. So the process began and she got me another cup of coffee. I had shown her a picture of what I wanted as well as a picture of my extensions, so she knew what I had in mind and she also told me she would try her best to get it to match the images. She painted my hair, Zaida washed and toned my hair and then Ahlyza blew it out. Ahlyza only put a small amount of heat protectant in my hair and some way some how, my hair felt and looked healthier than when I was a brunette! Olaplex and Ahlyzas talent is priceless and I'm so happy with my results. I can finally say I believe in blonde again! I was pleasantly surprised! I decided a few weeks ago that I was in desperate need of a facial and called around to a few places to see what they offered. PP actually won me over with their online booking system - genius! You schedule online and they texted and called with reminders. On the day of my appointment, they called to let me know they were running a bit late. I opted to push my appointment 30 minutes (again, no problem for a late Friday afternoon). I arrived a few minutes before 4 (my appointment time) and was warmly welcomed and offered something to drink. The manager let me get settled and then offered me a tour. The space is pretty big! While the front was bustling, the back rooms (spa and pedi rooms) were far more serene. I opted to sit outside the spa room and hang out while the esthetician Andrea finished up her previous appointment. I probably waited 15 minutes in total and was tended to the whole time. I filled out some paperwork and met Andrea to discuss the service. She was SO lovely! She guided me through the facial process (I got her signature service) and what to expect. The actual treatment was divine. Relaxing, soothing and rejuvenating. The extraction was slightly painful but Andrea used a light touch and talked me through it. The arm, neck and shoulder massage more than made up for it (and anyway, no pain, no game). I was so happy with the service I asked about their membership package ($65/month for one facial or massage plus 10% off all other services). I expect I'll be back frequently. I appreciate the attention paid to a new customer and the personal touch. Give them a try! P.S. Peking is $1/hour less than half a block away in the city lot. Credit cards accepted! read more

She makes a little small talk during your visit but doesn't make you feel uncomfortable, like you have to make conversation the whole time which is great when you're a socially anxious person like myself! I had Jeannie and she was quite cold and standoffish towards me, she barely spoke to me.
