Ken showed up on time but spent the first 30 minutes talking about the antique table saw in our garage and complaining about his wife. Then installed the TV higher on the wall than we wanted because "that's the standard". Talks a lot but doesn't listen. The Internet went out for 15 minutes so he didn't' complete the setup as described in his service. He just left with finger and hand prints all over the screen. Bought the saw for $120 but only paid $100. Came to pick it up and said I agreed to the height even though having not completed the setup. I asked what I should do to get it lowered and he just left. Ken Came over on short notice and installed my 65 inch TV with a full extended wall unit. All the cables for every connected device are hidden in the wall. He tested all the inputs for Apple TV, blueray DVD, Xbox and Bose. He installed an electrical outlet right behind the TV so it's not noticeable yet accessible. Ken has done a great job of mounting our TV to our tile fire place, which was not an easy task as tiles were on the bricks. Ken came up with different options on how to hide the power and cables behind the fire place. Ken is an experienced guy with knowledge about older homes and how to find the right places to drill and run the cables. Last week I bought a brand new LG 47 inch flat screen and I wanted to find the right company to install it on the wall with all wires hidden behind the wall and complete my home entertainment center. I called several companies and finally choose Paramount Home Theater. I'm extremely happy I did. These guys are real pros. They helped me set up my entire home theater from the sound bar to the XBOX with Kinects, and Blu-ray player. It was a perfect installation and they got it all done in about an hour. Amazing! Ken the owner suggested he could install a digital antenna to get over 50 free local channels. I feel the price was very reasonable and now after Ken's work I save $50 a month because I don't need to pay for cable anymore. I would highly recommend these guys. We used email and phone to go over our situation and what we wanted to install in our living room. Ken Huffman and his son came over less than one day after my purchase of a new TV and soundbar from Video Only in Dublin and provided a fantastic installation experience. They had to manage removing a two-ton Panasonic tube tv out of a bedroom and out some steps. First time that had moved in 16 years! But their unique skill set was quickly sizing up on my installation area and my needs and did a fantastic and efficient job setting it all up and working through the various connections including making sure the soundbar worked in both xfinity and internet modes and getting me to go through the use of the three remotes several times once they had integrated them all so I am at least basically qualified to enjoy my new setup! And they are also very easy-going, relaxed folks with great sense of humor. So excellent experience all around. I definitely recommend contacting Ken if you have any custom installation work. Paramount Home Theater was highly recommended to me by a friend who used them of home security installation. Ken and Cameron from PHT installed home security cameras in my home. Ken was quick to respond to my emails/text when contact him. They were on time and flexible with my scheduling. I felt safe and comfortable with them doing the work when I wasn't home. We bought a home in Danville, CA recently. The Seller left a bunch of spaghettis running out of the family room and Master bedroom walls. We didn't know what to do or who to call. I called Ken after checking reviews, he was local. My remote buttons had worn out. They came out promptly and sold and installed me a new remote and DVD player. A lot more than I was expecting to pay, but as long as it worked right again. After that my TV would at times all of a sudden loose its signal. We would have to manually get up and reset the signal. They came back twice and tried to correct. After they leave it would start again. They did not install TV originally so they became difficult and referred me to call mfg. I am very unhappy with Ken's attitude and now I am stuck with a problem I never had before. I will have to pay another installer to correct. Think twice about Paramount, things sometimes go wrong!! read more

Ken and his team came out to wire my 5.1 set-up, mount the TV above a fireplace, and install an electrical outlet. They did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. Wiring for the front and center channels was difficult because of the fireplace, and even though the path made his job difficult, he gave me what I, the customer wanted - a nice clean look. I was also missing a wall plate for my subwoofer and a pair of HDMI cables, and he didn't charge me for them. Lastly, included in my setup was a pair of in-wall surrounds, which came out nice and clean. Importantly, they were very courteous, profession, and clean. Will recommend to friends. read more

After years of flushing $$$ down the drain with my cable company, I recently installed an Over the Air Antenna (OTA) on the highest point of my house. As I began my search, I discovered that not many contractors install OTAs. Ken from Paramount Home Theater was one of three contractors that I considered. He was also the most reasonable from a Cost perspective - which was very important to me. During the contractor search phase, I had numerous AV and technical questions about the job which Ken happily answered on the phone. My research was a 6 week process, primarily because I wasn't sure if an OTA would give me all the channels way out in the Tri-Valley area. Ken put my mind at ease in this case. He said - "Why don't we test it out before you actually install it, so you don't incur unnecessary costs". What contractor would tell you that today! He came out to my house on a Sunday with his antenna and tested it out. It all worked except for ABC (channel 7). On the day of the job, we faced another issue with a missing part for the pre-amp. Despite the fact that the reception was good and I was receiving all channels (including ABC channel 7), he left it to me if I wanted it installed. He hustled back to Home Depot, bought a new pre-amp and installed it...all because the customer wanted it. He also helped me in the setup of my TiVo which was in itself a 45 minute job. My project was unique though his knowledge in the Audio Video / Home Theater space is immense. I would recommend him for all your Home Theater needs. Thank you Ken - great job! read more

I called the business on a Thursday to set up a date to have my satellite dish moved. The owner--Ken answered the phone very rudely and unprofessional. I asked him if he could move my dish on Monday, between 11 to 12 am. I gave him my work and home phone and also told him that I would not be home and if he needed to talk to me to call me at work because if he called my home my wife would not know anything about the satellite dish. At about 4 pm a lady called my home to confirm the appointment for 8 to 9 am with my wife. I had already told Ken my wife would know nothing about the satellite dish !! My wife called me to tell me about the call and I proceeded to call Ken to tell him I would not be home at 8 or 9 am. I reminded him that the appointment was set up for between 11 to 12 am. He said that he would juggle his appointments and he would be there at the agreed upon time. On Monday at about 10:45 am, I called Ken to confirm the appointment and he didn't remember me and told me he was busy installing some stuff for his brother-inlaw but he could come at about 2 pm. Well----!! Pretty amazing that after 2 conversations that this guy could not remember me nor the appointment time. I told him to forget it !! read more
