Elevators are frequently out of service, which becomes more than an inconvenience in a multi-floor property. There have been extended periods without hot water -- at one point lasting nearly a week -- with limited communication or clear timelines for resolution. Access control has also been unreliable. Key fobs have malfunctioned at entry points, locking residents out despite active credentials. Plumbing issues have been another recurring problem, adding to the overall sense that preventative maintenance is not a priority. What's most frustrating isn't just the issues themselves -- things break in any building -- it's the pattern. The problems feel reactive rather than proactively managed, and communication from management does little to inspire confidence. Residents deserve consistent access, functioning utilities, and transparent updates when things go wrong. Unfortunately, that has not been the experience here.

I don't think I realized how good I had it with M&D until I met this new landlord. M&D is honestly the best property managers I've ever had. If you need maintenance done, they are there in a jiffy. Their maintenance team is so friendly, kind and caring. I honestly can't say enough about them. M&D is a highly reputable company. You will be happy if you rent from them... especially in a city where there are plenty of awful & unfair landlords. My new landlord on the other hand, John Westbrook of Inspiration Portfolio, is the worst landlord I've ever had. Most of the people in our building are very disappointed by the change in ownership. He is a careless and disrespectful landlord who really doesn't care about his tenants. We miss M&D!!
