First of all, it is very well equipped and offers you a full host of lighting options and modifiers all built into the hourly costing. Photographers, beware of this place. This place is dishonest and WILL find something to charge you extra despite after you paid for the rental. Our photographer booked this place for our family photoshoot. There are 2 backdrops; one white seamless backdrop & one black backdrop. The white one which we didn't use but walked on it. Kids were posing on it. The front lady warned us and said IF we continue being on it, they will need to charge us for the cleaning fee ... So we stopped. However, at the end of our photoshoot, she still made us pay $75 extra repainting fee! They went back on their word and made us pay regardless. We found out later on their web terms of agreement, it states that "CYC wall comes as-is. If you wish it to be repainted for your booking, please requested it in advance. The repainting fee is $49." They are just rip-offs! They try to squeeze in extra unsupported charges to our event. The backdrop was already dirty to begin with. In addition, our photographer told the studio that there will be 17 people for the shoot. He booked 2 hours and paid for them in full beforehand. On the day of the shoot and after the shoot was done, the studio told the photographer that he needs to pay extra $5 per person for party above 10 people! My photographer said they never mentioned it on the agreement! So the studio gave my photographer an ultimatum; either he pays for the extra cost or he doesn't come back anymore. As far as a photo studio, it is basic photo studio. Three studios, one dressing room and bathroom. Studio A has nice large CYC wall and comes as-is or can be repainted for $49. *I'll get back to that later. Some basic props, backdrops, bunch of inexpensive AlienBees™ B1600 stobes, softboxes, stripboxes and Pocketwizard Plus III triggers. Now beware of hidden fees! This studio will come up with any excuse(s) to try to charge you for extra fees. Our photographers reserved this studio for 2 hrs and notify them in advance the group would be a large 17 (10 adults and 5 kids). They tried to charge us $45 extra for large groups! They say they charge $5 per person over 10. Even if this is the case, I do not know how they arrive at $45? Where they counting themselves too! When we first went in, they would have seen we had some smaller kids and should have gone over the "Studio rules" but did not. I did not notice any of the rules posted in plain sight either. Two kids were playing on the CYC wall but did not make it any more dirty then when we first got there! They were had new shoes on. The lady came back to warn us that if they continue to play, they would have to charge us. It was clear to us this was predicated on future actions and from that point; the kids did not play on the CYC wall again. Then at the end of the photo session, they decided they wanted to charge this and came up with a $75 figure to repaint the CYC wall. Now in their terms, it is just $45 to repaint the CYC wall so how did they arrive at the $75? I will include a screenshot of their terms for reference. Love how accommodating the studio staff was and the options that are offered to me as a client (aka photographer) is simply incredible! Both Studio A and B has a ceiling that can be opened by control if you are looking for natural light (love California for this). If you are looking for various modifiers that are included within the hourly rate (oppose to some studios that I know of that charge studio equipment separately and on top of hourly rate), then this is the best location for photography! If you want to use your own backdrop (love my calligrapher friend for this), lighting equipment (gotta learn to master your own equipment), and props (maybe floral arrangement hanging from the ceiling), this place has space that's big enough for that too! Not accommodating and very Inflexible by making all sort of rules. Beware also that they tried sneak in extra charges by telling us that we had "broke rules" for things that they never informed us in advance. For one of the "additional fee", we had tried to accept their "excuse/reasoning" and paid the $75 they demanded. After that, they tried to sneak in other excuses and charge us additional fees. We had to rush out after our session as they basically told us to leave. My daughter and I had to walk out without my shoes. Rude, unfriendly, and insensitive staff. The studio has multiple rooms to pick from that offers variety for photoshoots. Plenty of space for changing, and also a clean bathroom. The super sweet and friendly Christina shot some amazing photos of me. The photos came out amazing and I'll definitely be back to do more photoshoots here soon! read more
