We have boarded our dog Gidget with them for long weekends up to an entire month. They have even gone out of their way to accommodate a last minute booking. They treat her like family so much that she actually starts wagging her tail as we near her house and runs to Steve with wiggle butt. We have had experiences with many other boarders in Napa county and each time we picked up Gidget she was beyond happy to see us but was down for a couple of days after. When we pickup Gidget from Canine Constitutional she runs out to us happy and excited and is the same girl happy girl she always is when we return home. We finally have a boarder that puts our mind at ease.

From the very beginning, they were nothing but friendly and professional. I toured the property when I came for the "meet & greet" and I could automatically tell that this was a perfect fit for us. They assured me they would be with her all the time (except to run errands, etc.) My main concern was that she wouldn't feel abandoned and I didn't want her in a cold kennel and treated like an animal. I wanted her to be treated like she was our sweet baby. We just picked her up this morning and she was so excited to see us but I could tell she was loved and cared for. I will definitely be using them in the future. I can't say enough amazing things about them!!!

Sarah is the BEST! She knows dogs and she knows training. Her approach is balanced and effective…read more We have used Sarah for training with 3 different German Shepherds, all with different personalities, strengths and challenges. Two were adopted through a rescue organization, and the third we rescued from an abandon property. Sarah was able to evaluate each dog accurately and help us set and attain goals for training and socialization. Sarah offers group training, individual sessions and a socialization "playgroup" during which humans can learn LOTS about dog behavior, and during which dogs can learn from other dogs! Sarah also offers Board & Train services, and she strives to be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of her clients. Sarah is THE trainer we recommend to others as we are confident in her ability to provide genuine assistance. Like I said, she's the BEST!

I started taking my 150lbs Rottweiler to her last year after I lost all control of him. He was…read moreactually to the point that if he got any worse, I would have to put him down because he drew blood on me twice while I was attempting to correct his issues. Around other dogs, he would into attack mode, and if he couldn't get to the other dog, he would snap at anything close to him. Around people, he started to growl at anyone he didn't know. Would he bite? I don't know. I went to a positive training trainer who during the hour training session, admitted, not outright, that she couldn't control her two Rotts. How in the world would she be able to help mine? At the end of this training, I asked what to do about his aggressive behavior. She told me to take him into the public, and give him treats when he acts as I want. What about when he bites someone? No answer. Many wasted months after that, I started seeing posts on Facebook about this trainer that was donating her time and knowledge to help shelter dogs that were unadoptable due to behavior issues. So I set up a training session to see if there was any hope for my Rott. Sara recognized that he was a troubled pup, and needed a lot of training. To be fair to my pup, I needed the training, to correct the screwed up training I was providing him. After multiple training sessions, he was improving some, he also made a facebook post or two from Sara. Not the good posts! After normal training methods failed to correct Atlas's aggressive behavior, Sara recommended the use of an e-collar. This was not something Sara took lightly, this was the last option. She introduced the collar to me and even gave me the option to have it operated on me. On the level I use on my Rott, it feels like a needle prick, hardly noticeable. After training me on the correct and humane use of the collar, we started training my dog. Starting at level 1, and working up till he just responded to the "shock" at level 13. Now, when he starts getting out of control, a verbal command, and followed by activation of the e-collar, as needed. When he corrects his bad actions, a positive word and, a treat. He has responded beyond belief! The change in him has been swift, and daily he is becoming a better behaved dog! I have been able to start to bring him out into public events, working towards him becoming a well-adjusted dog. I have also been able to walk him with my other two Rotts now, without the chance of getting drug into a dog fight! I had a Greman Sheppard jump a fence and charge us, and he didn't chargeback. He maintained his place beside me and stayed calm. A yell at the dog, and away he went, and Atlas just turned around with me and continued our walk. Sara at Innovative Dog Training & Education has saved the lives of countless dogs with her knowledge and techniques, including Atlas! Is my work with Atlas done? No, but the change in him is tremendous!

Of course everyone needs to make money somehow but you know right off the bat that this is Molly's passion and purpose in life and she loves it. Her rates are fair and she goes above and beyond when working with you and your pup. My husband and I are really glad we found her to train our little yorkie. It's amazing what just a few sessions did for our dog and Molly uses all positive reinforcement for training. At our last session it was a great refresher to get us, as owners, feeling good about all our dog has learned already and how to continue to train her in the future. I feel so much more confident now after having Molly come into our home to help us than I did before we met her. If any questions were to come up, I know she'd help in any way and just wants the best for the dogs (and clients)! If you are looking for a trainer that is truly invested in your pup's best interest and working along side you (for better or worse) Molly is the one! If I had to do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat. Thank you Molly for everything!

She has been around many dogs and knows what she is talking about. Molly helped us recognize things our dog was doing and helped us correct them in a positive way. The first class went over the basics and since we are first time dog owners the principles she taught were helpful to us. It wasn't just sit and stay, there is a lot of socialization of the dogs. The jr. high class seemed to repeat some things. However, it was good for us to remember the basics and helped us be consistent. Molly also has some playgroups which were fun when it was cold out. Plus, at those playgroups she is open for questions and she corrects any misbehaving dogs (ie...mine).

In 2021, we brought home a Great Dane puppy named Enzo. As he grew we quickly realized he had…read morereactivity issues. We worked with several trainers over several months and while Enzo picked up new commands we couldn't quite crack his reactivity issue. At 130lbs, it was becoming problematic to have him jump, bark and lunge at people and dogs. We got anxious every time we went out for a walk. Luckily, we found MendocinoK9 and Alexia. Enzo had stayed with Alexia while we were out of town before, but after Theo (Refined K-9) did an assessment she recommended Enzo do a 4-6 week board and train with Alexia since she is used to working with extra large dogs. Getting Enzo out of his element would help him learn the skills he needed more quickly, Theo said. So we gave it a shot. We dropped him off a few weeks later. Alexia quickly realized what others had missed. Enzo was a confident working dog in need of a purpose and some impulse control. She adjusted his workout routine to include a daily treadmill run and taught him to bark on command. She took him to new places and he got lots of practice being calm at the beach, the park, the hardware store, etc. We got pictures, videos and updates along the journey. Alexia also met with us a few times to teach us the new commands, learn proper leash pressure, and get some social time with our big boy. It was clear Alexia loves all the pups she works with and cares about her craft. Enzo came home five weeks later a happier, more well behaved dog. Enzo checks in with us when he sees a dog instead of freaking out and we can walk past people on the sidewalk without issue. We are currently in the process of reinforcing the foundation Alexia put in place and there is still more training to be done. Enzo isn't perfect (we aren't ready for crowded places and small dogs still get him excited) but we know his triggers now and we aren't anxious every time we leave the house. Eventually, we're hoping put his confidence to good use and try obedience competitions. I would highly recommend Alexia for anyone looking for an empathetic and experienced dog trainer! And Enzo can't wait to hang out with Alexia again the next time we go out of town. :)
