HushPuppy presented special challenges: She is a mini-poodle who had not been groomed for 4 months because she was wearing a diabetes sensor that couldn't get wet. I was very reassured they'd groomed other such dogs before. Love this place, they do such a great job with my dog EVERY time we come here, and they always work with my crazy schedule. My dog loves to get in the car and come here; and she always comes home a happy (GREAT smelling) girl. This is my second review for Pooch Parlor. I just have to say this loud and clear! They are the best groomers I've ever encountered. I've had dogs for over 40 years. So we have seen our share of groomers. I've found the best. My groomer is by far the most educated and experienced in the field. But here's another bright spot. When Emma had to take a leave. She was able to make sure one of the other groomers were able to take her place while she was gone.. she made sure she knew all about my fur baby and all her needs. She looks amazing.. so I didn't have to worry about her looking different. Even though it's in Windsor, it's definitely worth the extra couple miles. So if you can't get in with Emma, Sarah is also very good. read more

If I could put 0 stars I would. I took my pup in today and as I was waiting for her to be finished I heard her screaming and crying really bad? So I got up to see what was going on, and I see that the groomer sadie was being very aggressive with trimming my pups nails, she had her arm up wayyyy to high up, damn near bending it. I tell the girl in front I don't want her to cut her nails she's hurting her. And she goes back to tell the groomer and the groomer says "she's fine she's almost done" like what the hell are you kidding me?!! I said stop so stop. Obviously she wasn't fine if she was screaming. Dogs don't scream for no reason. Sorry. Then she proceeds to blame me for my dogs crying!? Saying she's crying because she sees me. But the reason why I stood up from my chair (which my pup could not see me in) in the first place was because I HEARD HER SCREAMING CRYING and the groomer telling her to stop crying? I don't think they treat the dogs there well at all. I heard them yelling at other dogs very aggressively to stop moving or whatever. Instead of trying to console them and calm them down nicely. Obviously they don't know how to treat animals. I wish I didn't pay a dime to that damn company. NEVER AGAIN. They should be shut down. UPDATE: my dog is literally traumatized. She will not come out from behind the couch. Only god knows what else they did to her before I got there... She's been in this spot ever since we've gotten home. It's breaking my heart... she doesn't trust me anymore because I took her to that horrible place without knowing about the horrors that go on behind those doors! read more

Took my little girl there today for a little pampering and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was so sweet and very understanding about her being 14 years old, deft and blind. I didn't want her in a kennel because she had no idea where she was and would be very scared. They took her straight in and called me as soon as she was ready so I could come get her. This place does a great job grooming my dog. But the customer service is equivalent to trash. I have interacted with multiple front staff who are not only rude but entitled. The front staff started speaking rudely and I asked her to use a nicer tone as I wasn't appreciative of the tone in her voice and she mocked me. I'm not sure if it's not being raised correctly or just having a bad personality but I was appalled. Also answering the phone would be appreciated as they were invented for effective communication and I suggest they be used to do so. read more

I found this business on facebook after being turned down from a few other grooming businesses because my dog can be a little snippy when she's nervous. I was able to make an appointment, tell them about my dog and provide her vaccination all over facebook messenger! The staff was supper kind and patient to my nervous dog and said they would take their time so she didn't get scared. they did such a great job And she is ended up doing super well. I had contacted groomers on Yelp after a terrible experience with a mobile groomer looking for a nail and paw trim (spaniel, their paws get matted easily and cause problems). The Pooch Parlor not only responded quickly, but got my dog in for the very next day. Every other groomer wanted me to spend $100 on a full service groom and wait two weeks to do so. Beyond that, they were not going to charge me for the service since they felt bad about what the previous groomer (no association to them whatsoever) did. We worked out a payment as I could not not pay, but they were so clear in thier intent to fix my dog's paws and not worry about the money. They did a great job, and I will absolutely return for full grooming soon. This is an absolute gem of a groomer that really cares about the animals. They got a lifetime customer for helping my dog when no one else would - and being great and so nice to talk to. I'd give them 10/5 stars if I could. read more

My fur baby is almost totally deaf, has arthritis, but looks & acts like a puppy most of the time. Katy listened to the issues with Cosmo and what type of cut I wanted.
