We came here with a large group and they were able to accommodate us in one room in the dining area across several tables. The servers were really friendly even with juggling over 25 people across several tables. I forgot to take pictures, but the queso Uno and chips are definitely worth ordering along with a tasty frozen margarita. My son had the steak fajitas and they were good, his only feedback being that the onions were not as cooked as you would expect so they were more like raw versus grilled. I had the grilled burrito with shredded beef and it was amazing! It was a generous portion of meat with lettuce and pico and cheese and beans and nice fresh ingredients, wrapped up in a big tortilla and then nicely grilled until crispy on all sides - so good and not covered in sauce and not fried, just fresh and hot. read more

The tacos came with no lettuce I asked about it the waiter acted like he had never seen lettuce before he brought out a side of lettuce. And I was upcharged for the lettuce. Very disappointed at the food here. The Enchilada soup was super salty, the quesadilla was flavorless and came with no sides of sour cream or salsa. The server was friendly. I was invited here to celebrate a birthday party, and everyone told me to keep my expectations low. I ordered a non-alcoholic blue raspberry margarita (the only saving grace of the entire day) and ate the salsa and chips as I waited to have my order taken. The salsa was tasteless, and I had to add a lot of salt to it to make it palatable. I eventually ordered a dish called "The Cancun Combo." When I received it, it looked unappetizing. When I took my first bite, it was surprisingly bland. I never thought a creamy lobster-and-shrimp burrito could taste so boring. My friends had similar complaints about their food. The only person happy with their food had ordered chicken strips. Upon looking around, I realized that there were no Latinos working here. The management might not be Latino either. This might be the reason the menu looked uninteresting, and why the food was pretty tasteless. Maybe this place needs the touch of a Mexican. I went to Paradiso to join my friends for a birthday celebration in our ladies' group. The birthday girl and myself ordered the carne Asada platter. I asked the waitress to place as a to go. I would just visit with the ladies. 1. My meal was the second one out of the kitchen, So , I watched mine get cold. 2. Also, when they placed the birthday girls lunchon the table Her steak was as large as the tortilla it was on. I would rather large and flat flank steak not a fat one. Paradiso is a staple of my ND roots so when we were in Fargo I knew I had to bring my husband for a quick visit. As we had a tight timeline we were only able to swing in for an app and a round of drinks but it was as I remember! The decor and atmosphere is enough to give this place a try. We're visiting from Arizona (great Mexican food!) and have eaten at a couple of Mexican restaurants in Fargo and been extremely disappointed. My brother, who lives nearby, recommended we try Paradiso. We stopped in and were sat just after the lunch menu ended (we were held in the lobby for at least 10 minutes before being sat... coincidence?). Thank goodness they had Coke products, as we don't like Pepsi and it seems to be the predominant soda in this part of the country. The chips and salsa were very good. Our server seemed to be the only one on duty and was working hard- could have used some help, as I didn't see anyone else around. My wife had the flautas and really enjoyed them, especially the refried beans. I had the combo of crunchy taco (good), cheese enchilada( excellent) and chile relleno ( very lackluster and not traditional at all). Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back before we head south. read more

Delightful experience on everything. OK, not everything--the chips are a bit too thick for my liking. Huge menu selection. Great salsa for the too-thick chips. The frozen margarita was on par with the best I've had anywhere else, and that includes the Hacienda Ranch or Mariano's where the frozen margarita machine was invented.. my chimichanga was large, well done, with a large dollop of sour cream and lettuce. Large helpings of beans and rice served with chimichanga. Nothing to write home about, but also nothing to complain about. You like Tex-Mex? Can't find a better place than this. This was our first visit to North Dakota and the front desk clerk at our hotel told us to come here because they have good food. We sampled a lot of things...from burritos and tacos to tamales, enchiladas and chili rellenos. Everything was very good, except the chili relleno. It looked like they diced the chili and mixed it in with cheese and then folded it in a tortilla and fried it to a crisp. The bottom was so burned I couldn't cut through it and there wasn't much chili pepper flavor at all. The tamale tasted good; however, I've never had it with diced chicken before, only shredded. The tacos were very fresh and perfectly crispy. We rolled into town late and didn't eat until probably about 9:40 pm. Our server dropped off the bill around 9:50 and disappeared without asking if we wanted anything else. By the time we tracked her down and asked for fried ice cream for dessert, she told us it was 10:03 and the kitchen closed at 10. Overall a good meal with a couple disappointments. read more

This place used to be an OK option, for standard, Sysco food truck heat and serve text Mex. Ate there last night, server was doing her best, but she couldn't recover from how bad the food was and how long it took to come out. We were there for about an hour before our food arrived. See the picture for what made to order guacamole looks like these days. If that doesn't say run away fast, I don't know what does. And it wasn't just the top layer that got dark after it sat out a while, it was all the way through. My sister & I were in Fargo for a concert and after our 3.5 hour drive from Minnesota we stopped in to get some food at Paradiso Mexican Resturant in Fargo, North Dakota. This place looked absolutely gorgeous from the outside, surrounded by greenery and Spanish decor - it was just stunning. We enter and are greeted with lukewarm reception which we ignored because both my sister and I have both worked in customer service in the past. And so we thought as long as the food is good it'll be ok. Anyway, we tried to order the most BASIC food on the menu that's pretty hard to mess up in this self proclaimed "Mexican" resturant. I ordered a vegetarian burrito & my sister ordered a vegetarian Enchilada with a margarita. Both of those food came out looking identical to each other. It was a burrito drowning in an unidentified white oderless sauce. AN INSANE amount of plain chopped lettuce & we can't forget the broccoli and uncooked carrots that were assembled in the burritos( WHICH DO NOT BELONG IN A BURRITO). My sister also ordered a side of "guacamole" which is just a mashed avocado with NO sighting of SEASONINGS! We decided we should taste it and perhaps it's not as bad as it looks. Oh boy, were we wrong, It was honestly worse than it looked. We literally took one single bite & we called the waitress over and told her we didn't like the food and we would like our check. She said, "sorry about that" with a withdrawn look. And made no changes or made alternatives/substitutions. My sister and I payed our full bill. We headed to the nearest Taco Bell in Fargo & had a much better burrito (which is very embarrassing for an establishment to not even get to the level of TACO BELL, quality). I got enchiladas & a tamale, absolutely NO seasonings on anything.. the chips were straight from a bag at the grocery store. if you come here & you enjoy it you've probably never had real authentic Mexican food also to note, we were there for about an hour & our waitress never checked on us. Horrible experience. We walked in and a women with dark hair and glasses (older) barely said anything and we stood their awkwardly. I kindly asked if we should seat ourselves or wait. The only reason I asked this is sometimes you just it down and other times you have to wait. Thay woman behind the desk replied in a stern voice, "I already greeted you. Now I need to work on these things behind the register now." She didn't just say these things, she said them in an extremely angry tone. I was so off-guard I didn't reply. Later I wish I had stood up for myself and confronted this woman. Even as I left I noticed she was still behind the front desk area looking upset at life. The only thing this place has going for it is the ambiance and decor. Food is horrible! Tortilla chips are from the grocery store. The chicken is from a can. The salsa is from a jar. Refried beans ... yep, from a can. Rice is terribly dry and gross. Nothing is authentic or made in house. Your order is assembled from packaged food. We were a party of 21 so I guess the service expectation has to be realistic. Our waiter didn't know the menu, when I asked him how many street tacos in an order he had no idea. The majority of our our party didn't enjoy the meal. One person in our party who ordered fajitas saw them come to the table neither sizzling hot or steaming, they were cold and they were sent back. I ordered the grilled chicken street taco plate since you can't mix the choice of meats. I was served 5 miniature soggy soft tacos with itty bitty pieces of diced chicken and no signs of being anywhere near a grill. I realize I am in the far north ordering Mexican food but they have to give a better effort than this. Taco Bell or Taco Johns would be a better cheaper option. A fun Tex-Mex restaurant. Authentic, no, but certainly what the people crave here - lots of meat, cheese, and huge portions that fill you up in the dead of winter or heat of summer. Much a-kin to a cheaper, better-tasting version of Chevy's except here in Fargo. This is actually one of the larger restaurants in Fargo, with sections for a bar, a covered open area up front for warmer days, doorways that remind me of the Three Amigos movie, and lots of people most nights - families will enjoy the cheaper meals for children, the ability to accommodate plenty of people, as loud as you want to be, and relax with friends and family as you eat here. I do love their enchiladas, though. All your regular faux-"Mexican" dishes with great spicing (courtesy of the chefs in the back of whom many have first-hand knowledge of real Mexican) and plenty of drinks to cover the thirst that builds with a big appetite. And I like their mud pie - chocolate pudding with a gummy worm and dustings of crushed oreos! Lighting's a bit dark, but hey, for the atmosphere and the food, it's not a bad deal at all.
