Only Tysons Tree noted that pruning large limbs in the summer could negatively affect the health the trees. They worked with me to plan out pruning I needed ASAP and work that would best be done in winter. When they came for the pruning, the team was diligent and very safety focused. The work turned out great, I get a lot more sun light through the tree canopies and no longer worry about falling branches.

This is my second time working with Green Vista, and I continue to be impressed with their service…read more What I really appreciate is how honest and upfront they are. When evaluating my trees, they clearly explained which ones needed deadwood removal and which ones were fine at the time. They also had to remove one tree from my front yard, and they took the time to explain in detail why removal was necessary. I recently worked with Rodney, and he was great about discussing the details of the job and explaining his recommendations. He is obviously very knowledgeable about trees and clearly cares deeply about his work. I especially appreciated that he was there with the crew on the day they removed the deadwood and walked me through what they were doing. Of all the companies I contacted, Green Vista also seemed to have the most appropriate equipment for the job. Several other companies weren't confident they could get their lift into my backyard. Green Vista was able to do it, and they laid down appropriate tracking and ground protection to make sure there was no damage to my lawn. In one case, I found two dead branches that weren't visible from my side of the property. Rodney and the team came back quickly and took care of them, which I really appreciated. I know I'll be using Green Vista again in the future. Their pricing is excellent considering they have a certified arborist involved, and most importantly, they genuinely seem to care about the health of the trees rather than trying to upsell you. Highly recommended.

Early Wednesday morning they had an arborist at the house, dispatched a large crew and a massive crane. They spent 7 hours carefully removing the tree, lifting huge pieces of it over our neighbor's house (thank you, good neighbors!), ground the small and medium branches, and stacked the very large trunk sections on the street. On Thursday they picked up all of the large sections and hauled them away. By 5pm the tree was gone and contractors were able to start doing a temporary repair of the large holes in our garage roof. This was a traumatic experience that was totally unexpected. This was a seemingly healthy tree that just tipped over without warning. Anyone can imagine how it feels to have a huge tree laying on your house. The support from JL Tree's Service went a long way toward making us feel like we were making progress on getting the mess resolved. We reached out to them and 3 other certified arborists to get a quote on pruning 6 trees and removing 2 including stump grinding. East Coast was selected due to reviews from my local Facebook group and their middle of the pack pricing. When we selected to work with them, we revised the work to be 7 trees pruned and 1 removed including stump grinding. After confirming everything on June 13th, we didn't hear back so we followed up on June 17th. June 18th they said they would be out some time the next week. By July 2nd, we hadn't heard anything and had to follow up again asking for an actual date to be scheduled. The crew arrived on the scheduled date and completed the work as expected. The crew was great as mentioned before. When they completed the work, I reviewed it that evening and noticed two things. 1) The removed tree stump was not ground. 2) The yard/grass was heavily torn up. I was a bit shocked the yard damage was never warned or mentioned throughout the entire process. I decided to disregard it but definitely keep that in mind if you hire them and actually care about your yard. I reached out to them about the stump grinding and the proceeded to inform me they couldn't do it on the hill! Not once during this entire process did they ever mention that being a concern. The other 3 companies didn't even mention it as a concern. As a result I informed them the cost needed to be adjusted since they didn't do that work. I raised my concerns on July 11th and it went ignored until they sent me the invoice on July 20th. 9 days and not a word from them. I proceeded to inform them I would not pay until my complaints were resolved. They promptly replied to that (of course!) and said the owner would reach out. July 21st and I haven't heard anything further so I'm writing this review to help raise awareness and try to make them take this serious. I will update if/when they resolve this.

I have to give props to East Coast Arborist (ECA) for transforming my yard into something I never…read morethought possible. My yard began with multiple maple trees where the huge above ground roots engulfed 2/3 of my yard. They were so bad that I had to use a weed whacker just to cut my grass in many areas of the yard. In addition, the previous owners had carved out large landscaped beds without ever planting anything, and in turn became weed beds. I contracted ECA to remove three trees plus the stumps; an extra stump from a tree I previous cut down; grind the roots in the yard and grade it as well; finally, lay new sod. Initially they planned on four days however it took them only 3. Also, not only did they do the work that was proposed and agreed upon, they went above and beyond by streamlining all of the weed beds into much more manageable beds, mulching all of the landscaped areas, cleaning up existing brush, and trimming the bushes. They were prompt, tidy (leaving no mess behind), courteous, and professional. There were no hidden costs and the costs they did provide were very competitive, in fact beating many. For what I received, not only with the work they performed in my yard, but also good customer service and friendly staff, as well as a phenomenal price, I would recommend ECA to anyone. Also and in parallel, my neighbor used ECA to remove a tree and trim a few others. He, too, was satisfied. Thanks to John and his staff for providing such outstanding service!!!
