Angela is the nicest! We were super hot and thirsty after playing ultimate frisbee in Atascadero and craving shaved ice. We called Paradise and even though she was packed up for the day, she let us come by her house for some home-made shaved ice deliciousness. She makes the flavors herself and uses natural non GMO ingredients with no high-fructose corn syrup. She even gave us refills of extra ice! They have quality syrups, no high fructose corn syrup and even have Stevia sweetened sugar free and dye free flavors! I had a root beer shaved ice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream today and it was sooooo good. Better than a root beer float!!! I also had slider burgers and they were amazing bbq'd thick burgers! We called to find out location of the truck. They move to different locations such as the Atascadero Farmers market. Leah was delightful and provided the best customer service. She was inspiring sharing how she came up with the idea as a child and now at 17 has been in business for 6 years. She credits her mom Angela for believing in her. Oh my gosh! So happy to have found this little gem! Super yummy Sno cones with tons of different flavors. The owner makes all the syrups herself and they are fabulous. I had pink grapefruit - delicious, my daughter had raspberry and tutti frutti, my son had orange and root beer (his was the yummiest) and my friend's daughter had tiger's blood (kind of a coconut flavor) with raspberry. I contracted with the Angela of Paradise Shaved Ice on February 28, 2017 to provide a food truck at a recent two-day event in Paso Robles. On April 27, just two days prior to the event, she advised me that instead of bringing her food truck that was to have served tri-tip sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, churros and soft pretzels, along with sodas and water that she in fact would only be sending her small shaved ice trailer and she would not be present after all. Instead, she sent her 14-year-old daughter and another helper. I called when they were 45 minutes late and she told me that they had a late night and that they would get there when they could. She also complained that they had four events going on that day which is not my problem, especially because at the time I contacted her to do our event her calendar was clear. They arrived late and left early. Angela sent a text later that day advising me that they would not be coming to the second day of our event because she did not make enough money and besides, there are too many Democrats. What one's political affiliation has to do with eating a snow cone, I will never know. Needless to say, I will never contract with this individual again - her word cannot be trusted! read more
