I have been coordinating events for several years now and was happy to find that this Paso Robles Company moved to my neck of the woods in Atascadero. I was working with a mom who was planning a Quinceanera and they transformed a basic looking Banquet Room into a magical place with a dance floor with draping and several different light features, projected and sparkling etc... The delivery was by the owner himself who has done red carpet events and Beverly Hills White Parties. And I was impressed! The whole last event was orchestrated by Rhianna from the beginning to the end. I had to call about a delivery issue and even though I interrupted her DAY OFF, she made a few phone calls and I was called right away by the owner. My client was very happy as well. She also dealt only with Rhianna from start to finish. Every single time I needed to talk to anyone there, Rhianna either answered or called me right back. And this event that I am referring to, actually happened during their move from their Paso Robles location to their new Atascadero location. I guarantee, if I am not happy with a business I will definitely YELP them! And if I am happy, I will eventually sit down and write a rather lengthy YELP to thank them for a job well done. After searching several rental companies, Central Coast Tent & Party had the best pricing for our…read moreevent. Considering that most rental companies use the same third party for linens, we figured we'd end up getting the same things anyway. Not to mention, their cocktail tables were much nicer than anywhere else. We soon found out what you get for the additional money: customer service. We had to go back-and-forth with Michelle several times on our invoice to correct errors in the items, quantity and price. Then, on the day before the wedding, we discovered they had shorted us 3 cocktail tables and 30 napkins. When we called to get it corrected, we were told they could only give us 2 tables and were given the option of selecting from 3 alternate colors for the napkins. Rather than having 90 napkins of one color and 30 of another, I asked that they deliver 60 white napkins, so we could alternate them with the other color on the tables. I was told that Michelle had already left to deliver the other colors. I explained that this was not my problem and that they needed to fix it. When we arrived on the morning of the wedding, I discovered that we received the other colors and had not received the white napkins as I had requested. I was told that they would be "happy" to refund the difference for the napkins. That's not much solace when you're staring down a wedding in four hours. Our caterer ended up providing us with the white napkins, and I'm still waiting for my refund...

She was so organized and on top of everything that I didn't have to worry about a single thing that entire weekend... and trust me, I'm a total control freak so that's easier said than done! We hired CJN for the entire planning and up to day-of festivities and they rocked! From helping us pick out and hire several individual vendors, to taking care of our champagne at the reception (storing it, chilling it, and serving it (!)), they never let us stress! Things went so smoothly that I am completely convinced that there is no way we could have done it without them! At the end, we almost felt like we had UNDER-paid them, since they went above and beyond what we had expected. We live in the Bay Area and had our wedding on the Central Coast, so you can imagine the stress we would have had without CJN. EVERY minor detail, from each timeline detail, to the type of food we wanted for our rehearsal dinner, was handled by CJN. They never took over to the point that we didn't have a say, they just made sure that every single thing was handpicked by us, and they ran with it. The rehearsal, the planning, the ceremony, and the reception was so seamless that we were utterly elated at the end. And, this may sound silly, but Jamie was so quick to reply, and so detailed in her questions and tasks, that we will miss not working with her any longer and being in constant contact. We experienced a frantic, sporadic, discombobulated wedding planner who brought every issue to our bride and groom. There was a bottle of alcohol taken to the dance floor that wasnt allowed. Alyssa approached the brodesmaid to get it back in an aggressive and confrontational manner. When the groom asked me to go ask Alissa to confirm a bottle of booze would get put back in the take home bins, I obliged. As I approached her, she proceeded to YELL at me (a bridesmaid) in front of the entire groomsmen table. After letting her know we should take this inside the nearby barn to discuss her issues since she had to yell them at me, she told me "NO" AND THAT "WE WOULD BE DOING THIS RIGHT HERE". I understand weddings are stressful, but the amount of times she brought the stress to the bride and groom, and yelled at the wedding party, and was just unorganized made for a stressful experience and the only negative thing about the wedding. From the beginning contact he was professional and able to work with us. Chad got back to any requests or questions I had fast before the party. So glad we booked him for the party so I didn't have to worry about the music. He was able to take requests as to the type of music to play and played all the right music during dinner and after when everyone wanted to dance. He even played the special requests when people requested on the spot. He was prepared with a microphone, which glad he was so I could announce dinner and do a small speech. Because we live out of the area and wanted to enjoy our wedding day as thoroughly as possible, we decided to go ahead and find some extra help who would make sure everything ran smoothly. I interviewed half a dozen highly-qualified planners/coordinators in the SLO area before finding Planimation Events to help us with month-of and day-of services. My initial impressions of Michele were that she was kind, competent, and well-organized; but it turns out her qualifications don't end there! Before the wedding Michele worked with each of our vendors to make sure everyone was well-coordinated and everything was as we planned it. From making sure flags in the reception room were removed before dinner (long story) to perfectly placing each last bit of decor, Michele and her team knew exactly what it took to make sure everything ran smoothly. On the day of the wedding we didn't see Michele much because she and her assistant were actively running the "show behind the show"; everything ran on time and according to plan - if there were any snafus, we had no idea because Michele took care of it. That was our only in-person meeting (yes, I'm crazy)--- but I trusted April and let it go--- cue Elsa---. April made an awesome Pinterest board and worked within our budget. She did very well on our following conference calls and us very organized. As you can see from these awesome photos--- she was AMAZING! Everyone talked about the decor the whole night. There were so many photo ops and just lovely flowers and foliage everywhere. She also got me great deals on pots/candle holders that I know I will use for years to come. I can't say enough good things about April Flower's!…read more This little flower shop is a SLO gem. When I am looking for flowers in the SLO area this is my #1 stop. Countless times they have put a smile on my fiancee's face, brightened my clients offices and made my mom happy on mother's day! This shop does not do your standard roses with baby's breath, but brings a much more fresh and inspired take to the flower bouquet. Every time I visit, I have noticed that they have some new or unique flower I have never seen before. They work with local growers to get the best material available, and the shop workers are always very helpful. In addition to the shop, I have also attended multiple weddings where they have done an outstanding job. In fact, I am in the middle of planning my own wedding, set to take place this September, and have decided to use April Flower's myself (I will be writing an update in September). For now...
