Her apologies were only the first of many as the problems kept mounting. - Musty smell, especially in the bedrooms, where window fans sealed so poorly they let in insects - Torn screens that let in insects - Broken blinds in two bedrooms that prevented us from controlling the light - No window coverings in the open living-dining-kitchen area, so we could not use the sofa bed, for which no pillows were provided anyway - Stained carpeting in the dining area and one bedroom - Water-soaked carpeting in the living room growing mushrooms! - Dirty bath tub with slow drain leaving you standing in inches of water during even a brief shower - Water damage around the sweating toilet and above the kitchen stove - Empty propane tank on the grill - Submerged dock Despite the efforts of the maintenance staff, most of these were not resolved. Our request to be moved to another property was denied. We received only a small refund for one night's stay and half the housekeeping fee. This property requires considerable work before being rented. We will not use Crystal Vacation Rentals again.

Huge Potential with Huge Disappointment…read more The location for this lake house was beautiful, lake was great, neighbors were great. The pictures of what we were expecting the house to be were great...when we got there it was more of a bait and switch. For starters it was pouring rain when we got there (which we know can't be helped) however the walk way to get from the driveway to the front door floods and it was CLEAR this is not a new problem for this home. Once inside it was dark , hot and stuffy and there was a check list of things that needed to be done/turned on before we could get started with the "vacation" including turning on the water and anything else that used electricity that we wanted to use as it had all been unplugged. In doing this we noted the NUMEROUS ant traps around the home including behind the microwave on the counter and in the cabinets. We then went to the sunroom to open the blinds and windows. All the strings on the blinds were broken and wouldn't open properly. Worse, they had a sticky film on them like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The windows were just as bad, some wouldn't open because they were broken. Again more ant traps that our 1 year old found all over the floor, in the corners. We decided we were going to be there for 6 days, lets make the best of it, we are on vacation. Even though the house was in dire need up updating, we were here for the lake. We went outside to go look at the "sandy beach" only to find that while there was a sandy area, that area was surrounded by stones our kids had to climb over to actually get into the lake. Total misrepresentation of what the dock/shore really looks like. Yes there is sand but it certainly doesn't go right out to the water making it "great for kids". Maybe kids older than 10 who can climb rock walls. After about 3 days the ants started marching in and we tried to use the dishwasher and found that it didn't work. We notified the owner of the home and the initial response was "she didn't know anything about either of these things". We found that hard to believe given the number of ant traps. What we did appreciate however was that the owner did have an exterminator out very quickly, the next day someone was there to spray. Unfortunately however the dishwasher repairmen didn't arrive until the day of our departure and we were never notified that they were coming. We knew we had to be out by 10am and would have been on time to do that had the repairmen not shown up 9:45am. When they arrived, we still had to clean out the refrigerator and finish cleaning out the kitchen. Because the blinds in the sunroom didn't work, we had to close them down first and had to limit ourselves to only using the main door (next to the refrigerator). When the repairmen showed up this congested the area and slowed us getting out of the house on time. The housekeeper showed up at 9:55am. I tried to explain to her we had no idea the repairmen were coming and were delayed a few minutes, would be about in about 10. Told her the sunroom and the bedrooms were empty and the bunkhouse were empty but she didn't want to hear it. She called the owner and unreasonably told her "we are still here". We later had a conversation with the owner who told us "well between 10-12 was the only time the service man could come". Well that would have been fine if she had told us. She didn't tell us, we were late getting out and then charged us a late fee for not being out by 10am. Had she told us, we could have planned to clear the kitchen first so we would have been out of the serviceman's way and then we would not have been delayed in getting out. This really did sour our experience with this company and we will never again rent with Three Sisters Vacation Rental again. They misrepresented the property, had poor communication and then irrationally charged us a late fee for 15 minutes which was caused by Three Sisters impeding our progress to leave (like they did it on purpose...???) So disappointing.

My nephew and three nieces were staying there and they wanted to go in the lake. In the rental we see a sign that says life jackets in the pontoon. But which one?So my family check the two that were there. And we apologized to the neighbors if we mistakingly went on their pontoon looking for the life jackets. On my wedding day I get a text that my family was going through the pontoons on the lake. And that my family would have the police called on them. So I call Lyn to clear the air and explain it was a misunderstanding. I and my husband left messages on her voicemail. But we never received a call back. Instead we receive another text message explaining that they will have the police called on us again. For what? This service was a struggle from the start. I heard rumors that they were a difficult service but I thought maybe it was an isolated experience and that's all. Nope they really are a ridiculous service. Every time we had questions about the property they wouldn't answer us. But when it came down to getting the rest of our deposit oh they called us for that. So thank you three sisters for being an unprofessional service. I appreciate you all for making my wedding day as stressful as possible. You achieved your goal in making me regret giving you all a shot.

***RENTER BEWARE***…read more Good Luck booking a reservation here! I've booked TWICE. First booking was over two weeks ago- the host decided to cancel my reservation today after it was already "confirmed" and accepted at purchase. I've already coordinated 14 people to have them take this weekend off of work and other family arrangements that was reserved two weeks ago. I tried to contact today with a reason or if I was missing any information they may have needed. Nope. No response. So I booked it again today, and surprise surprise a notification 30 minutes ago that it was cancelled without reason. Tried contacting the "host" Chelsea multiple times. ZERO response. Unreal and beyond unprofessional. Take your money elsewhere. Can't even get a simple response after multiple POLITE attempts. Absolutely disgusted with the lack of care and urgency this "host" or whoever it is has.
